My husband went in to get his wort removed. The doctor froze it but took advantage of my husbands nerve damage and did not stop when he said he finally felt something on the top of his foot. After all was said and done, all the doctor gave him was a bandaid and a lame anti-biotic ointment that consisted of Mineral Oil and Petroleum Jelly. My husband is now a burn victim. I'm having to give him even more round the clock care. It did get infected due to being at the V.A for so long so he was then put on a oral anti-biotic and 2 different types of topical anti-biotics. It's been hard for him since looking at his foot reminds him of the humanitarian efforts that he took part in for Katrina in 2005. To top this off I've contacted Pro-bono Lawyers but they won't even take on the case because they claim there is no real loss here. Anyone willing to take on our case? Anyone have a problem with the Foot Clinic in the V.A system in Danville, IL? Just let me know...maybe we can just talk about it and come up with a solution. Write me an e-mail at [protected]@yahoo.com.

Archerop, my husband saw dead bodies when he went to help for Katrina in 2005. It triied to attach a picture but couldn't. It is a horrible burn. Sure it maybe a horrible claim...but when and if he loses a toe over it...we will see.

My husband suffers from PTSD and other medical issues. So yes..it has something to do with it. Who wants to go to the hospital to get a wart removed and end up a burn victim. I'm not hear to agrue, simply to make a complaint. But that you for triing to keep me on track.

Brenda, he has not seen a specialist. Since he is disabled we can only afford the V.A healthcare for him. I'm having to take care of him full-time so I dont have healthcare even for myself. This soon will change as the new caregiver bill stuff is coming into play. Thanks so much for your comment. I was starting to feel like I was being picked on here. lol

I was sent to DR. Arnold Batson, By Dr. Boyce Tollison for some nodules on my hand. They were not bothering me at all, but he had a cute little girl in training with him, so i suppose he was trying to impress her. he told me I needed to get that fixed. I really had it fixed. Now the nerves and tendons are cut in my hand, and I can only use two fingers. I asked this so called Dr. Arnold Batson, what am I supposed to do now? He laughed and said, live with it. I tryed to sue, and when Dr. Tollison heard this, he told the drugist that I had altered a prescription. So, therefore I could not come to his office again, which turned out to be a blessing. He was my medical doctor for 20 years. I could find no attorney who would take my case. the reason being, this so called Arnold Batson di a lot of workmans comp for them. TThe ststue of lemitations wa three years. So, now I draw disibility. And by the way Dr. Tollison has CANCER.

It is hard to prove malpractice sweetie, even if it is justified. His foot looks nasty, and I am sorry for the pain your husband suffered. I had a wart removed and it didn't look like that when the procedure was over! I talked to a lawyer about a incident that happened to me. With the birth of my last child, after I was dilated to ten, the obgyn discovered that my son was breach. He told me that he would need to preform a C-Section. I was uncomfortable about being awake when the medical staff cut open my stomach. They assured me that I wouldn't feel any pain, and told me that being awake was the best option for the welfare of my baby. I felt that doctor open me up, and it hurt like all living hell, nothing I can describe the intense pain I felt. It was scarred me, I have a phobia of pain now. I had nightmares for years afterward. I talked to a malpractice lawyer, and unless my kid had been damaged, or I can prove that the anesthesiologist purposely allowed it, there was nothing I could do. Doctor's rarely will testify against other doctor's even in justifiable negligence. I have had several bad experiences with doctors, one's horrible doctoring almost killed me! I do understand your frustration and upset. Concentrate on helping your husband heal and promoting the best medical care you and your family can afford. Some doctors shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine. Only a few actually do a decent job... Wish you and your hubby all the best.
