I decided to create a new "complaint" post as I had posted all of this under another complaint that is flagged as "Resolved". Additionally, Melissa/Missy has posted numerous positive reviews that she is representing as positive/satisfied customers which, I believe, is just to clog up the post so that my issue gets buried.

Melissa/Missy, whatever her name truly is, from Cutie Poo Pups, and whatever other websites she may be selling puppies from, sold us a $2K Havapoo. When we had DNA tests done the results came back as: 50% King Charles Cavalier, 37.6% Poodle, and 12.4% Bichon; no Havanese at all. Our pup also has health issues that include; one kidney, IBD, severe poultry allergy, and the genetic marker for Intervertebral Disc Disease (Type I). Upon taking our pup for her initial vet visit two days after picking her up from the airport, she also had a yeast infection in both ears.

Melissa never reached out to tell us that our pup could potentially be a Cavapoo, not a Havapoo, she just posted a video on her website stating that there were two different fathers. Had I not been looking at her site again, I never would have known it was a potential issue. As soon as I saw the video I reached out to Melissa and she assured us that she had 20 years of breeding experience and was as sure as she could be that our pup was a Havapoo. Needless to say, that was not the case. This puppy also sheds, which we absolutely did not want to deal with. Melissa's proposed resolution for this was for us to send the puppy back to her. As anyone that has paid for a flight nanny ($575) and had a puppy in their home for several months can attest to, sending the puppy we had fallen in love with back was not an option. I think Melissa knows this and counts on it.

I felt Melissa should contact the other families because it wasn't just about the puppies not being Havapoo. It was also about the fact that our puppy has IBD, one kidney, and the DNA marker for Intervertebral Disc Disease (Type I). Furthermore, I found my pup's sister via the DNA website, and they stated: "I did send her an email that for my trouble she should return at least 1/2 of what I paid. But she just never responded..."

I was also threatened and accused of being the cause of my puppies illness by Melissa in our recent email communications: "I am asking you to back off now. You do what you feel you need to and I will do the same." When I asked Melissa if that was a threat she replied with: "Not a threat, just a promise." Not sure if she plans to send someone to my home or what? She also stated: "I really wish you would give her back to me. She never suffered from any of the things you say while she was here." I got her when she was 8 weeks old, I'm sure she hadn't been weaned that long prior. Her email was full of sarcasm and then she doubled down on blaming me: "She may just be responding to you? Her stomach issues could be a result of stress." Nice... She did provide me with her attorney's name and contact information though. I know we all have an attorney, right?

I will fully admit that I was, and still am upset, and I know my emails to her reflected that. Could I have been more gracious? Yes. However, I trusted Melissa and felt that I had asked all the right questions like, "Are both parents 1st generation?" to which Melissa stated yes. I asked and received photos of my pup's parents and when I questioned her about them, she stated she had sent me the wrong ones, so I received two new photos. Needless to say, I still don't know what my pup's parents look like because the 1st set of pictures were of a female Havanese and a male Poodle, and the 2nd set of pictures were of a female red poodle with a white stripe on her chin and a male Havanese. Again, not my pup's parents. Except for maybe the female red poodle with the white stripe on her, which may explain the Bichon the DNA test came up with.

It's not just about having a puppy that sheds everywhere and dealing with keeping the hair cleaned up because I have asthma. Our puppy was very ill and almost died. There were over $3, 000.00 in vet bills. I don't know how many people could even have afforded to keep this puppy alive, and I am so incredibly thankful we had the means to do so, and had also taken the extra precaution of purchasing pet insurance. To have Melissa imply I caused my puppy to be ill is disgusting. I'm the one that spent sleepless nights with her, holding her, cleaning up after her, giving her Karo Syrup from a syringe to keep her alive, countless hours researching the internet for clues as to what may be wrong with her, etc. I was the one that figured out she had a poultry allergy.

I would just encourage anyone else reading this to really do your homework. The signs were there, had I only spent more time researching. This is the same thing the other family I am in contact with said to me in an email; "I started researching reviews on this breeder and there were so many"puppy mill"red flags that kept appearing."

Thank you so much for this review. I was about to put a deposit on a puppy from her but I got a weird feeling when I called her and she was VERY short with me, stating i need to put a deposit down immediately. wouldnt confirm much of an estimated weight of the dog, and then told me she couldnt send me pics of the parents until the weekend when someone else probably would of put a deposit on the puppy. she had a very weird vibe. Thank you for saving me from this! it would be such a nightmare to go through.

KC Kay I am truly sorry that was the impression you received from our conversation. I was trying to be helpful not pushy. In no way was the information I provided you meant as an attempt to pressure or push you into placing a deposit on the puppy you had inquired about. I absolutely do not have to resort to tactics like that to rehome my pups. You asked me how big I thought the puppy would be as an adult and I explained to you that based on my experience and size of the parents I felt she would be in the 12 to 15 pound range. I told you I could not guarantee size but mom and dad were 12 and 13 pounds and based on her current size that it appeared she would be as well. You asked me for photos that I did not have on my phone at the time. I was out of town and away from my computer and told you that I would have to get those to you when I got home. I told you I would be home late Friday evening. She was the last female I had and there had been a lot of interest in her so I just wanted to let you know that you ran the risk of losing her if you had to wait on me. Had I not told you that she was getting a lot of interest and then you went to place a deposit later and she was spoken for you would have been upset. All I was trying to do was help you. You seemed really interested in her. I thought we had a pleasant conversation and I thought I had answered all of your questions. I did notice later that evening that you didn't place the deposit on her like you stated you were going to. I am sure you are aware that I did not ask you about the deposit or follow up with you in regards to your intentions. I would imagine a pushy breeder would have done so.

I made a breeding mistake and sold JLO Jamie a cavapoo puppy. At the time of the sale I felt certain that her puppy was indeed a havapoo not a cavapoo. It was a breeding mishap that I take full responsibility for. I offered to take the pup back with a full refund and I told Jamie that I would give her 100% of her money back if she wanted to return the puppy. We never even made it to the part about who would pay for transportation back because she refused to send the puppy back. That was something she just assumed. Trust me I do not rely on families not sending pups back. I just do not know how to offer any other way to settle someone who is not happy with their puppy. I guess allow them to keep the puppy and give them a full refund. How is that fair to me. At the same time I am not going to allow anyone to take advantage of me or the situation. She refused to give the puppy back so I offered her half of her money back and she keep the puppy. We both agreed that this was acceptable. She accepted that offer and I gave her half of her money back. Her vet bills were not a result of my breeding. I cannot control if a dog will have a food sensitivity. I also have no control over a birth defect such as a pup being born with one kidney. There are no genetic testing that can determine anything like that. No genetic testing to determine a food allergy. A genetic marker does not mean your dog has the condition or will get the condition. It means they are carriers for it. Had I known her pup only had one kidney and was sensitive to chicken I would have told her. Yes I did tell Janice that her puppy could be suffering from stress. Dogs can and will pick up the energy of the home. This pup had a chicken base diet the entire time post weaning before going to live with Janice without issues so for me it was logical that she was responding to Janice stress. Janice referred to herself as a pit bull when she was attacking me. I gave Janice half of her money back on this puppy after she refused my offer of a full refund upon the return of the pup. I responded to Janice through out this entire ordeal and tried to work with her. She is angry and it is understandable but other than the breeding mistake I had no control over her puppies conditions. I wish I did...Janice has turned me into the BBB and they ruled in my favor and would not post her complaint. She turned me into the Attorney Generals Office and they also ruled in my favor. Her original complaint was marked as resolved because I made every attempt I could to try and resolve it. Yes I did seek an attorney to try and stop the harassment from Janice. There is no regulation of freedom of speech. She was not threatened by me but her drama wants you to believe that she was. I do not have hit men on stand by. When I sent the parent photos I was also speaking with another lady and got her and Jamie mixed up. I explained that to Jamie but it did not matter. No matter what I said she was attacking me. She feels that I purposely mislead her. I had no reason to to that. I get more money for Cavapoos than I do for havapoos in general but in this case I was selling them for the same price and cavapoos are in higher demand so it would not have benefited me in the least to misrepresent my pups. Also I do not want to deal with unhappy clients. No one wants that head ache unless you are the type of breeder that just ignores them. I do not ignore I try to work thru things but I cannot always make everyone happy and I do make mistakes and I do try to make them right when I do.

I am not going to let the Jamies and the Marys of this world keep me from doing what I do. I have been a breeder for nearly 20 years. I have brought so much joy into the homes of so many families. There will always be a risk when you are buying a live animal regardless of how much genetic testing is done because there is not a test for everything and no breeder can make a 100% guarantee. I send all of my pups with a health and a genetic guarantee. It explains how situations will be handled if something comes up and for a breeder it is a nightmare if it does. Case in point. My guarantee states return of the puppy for a full refund. Jamie knew my terms before she purchased this puppy so if you are ok with how I deal with an issue before you buy the puppy then you must be ok with it after you get the puppy. I cannot hold myself responsible for a decision a client makes from an emotional stand point when they were aware of my guarantees prior to purchasing a puppy. Again I am sorry that I was wrong about the breed of Jamies puppy. I have offered compensation and tried to make it as right as I could. Puppy mills do not do that. No matter what I offered her she would still bash me to the ground. Nothing I could have done after the fact would or could have satisfied her. The only satisfaction she would get would be if I stopped breeding. Well that will not happen. My job is way too important for the countless others that have been blessed and saved by one of my pups.

Peaches and she’s a Morkie

I would HIGHLY recommend this sweet lady! Our Peaches was originally named Milly and she was already a few months old when we got her. She’s adorable still and the sweetest pup we’ve ever had! She stays right beside me constantly! This is her waiting for me to get out of the shower! Lol

We bought our little guy from cutiepoopups about 3 years ago and couldn’t be any happier! He has been the perfect addition to our family! He was healthy and well taken care of when we got him and has been healthy since! He is the best tempered little guy and loves playing with our boys and even the cat! I would recommend cutiepoopups to anyone looking for a new addition to their family!

We took Macey to the vet yesterday, and the doctor wanted to keep her. He said over and over “she’s an awesome pup”...he was asking about the breeder, and when we told him she came from the same place as Ava and Zoey, he says, “Oh good she came from a good place then.” We cannot thank you enough for these babies.

Hi Melissa,

This is Debbie Cornette. Last August my family and I adopted our sooooo cute Cavalier Logan. He turned 1 on April 3.

Logan is such a love, and a cuddle bug. We absolutely love him to bits! He is the perfect dog for us. Now that he is 1, he has been on guard when my husband leaves for his overnight job. He will bark and let me know if someone is near the house. I've got a great little guard dog. LOL. He loves walking on the Doodle Trail and watching the trains come through town.

Thank you for your hard work with breeding and raising your dogs. We will hopefully get Logan a friend and walking partner in the future.

I have attached some photos for you to enjoy.

Sincerely,

Hi! I’m not sure if you remember my pup but I adopted him from you back in May 2017! This is Theo :) He’s a maltipoo and we JUST celebrated his 3rd birthday on the 27th!

Theo is the most loving pup we’ve ever had. He’s always had the sweetest intentions! When I first brought him home, he cried in his cage for so long that I couldn’t help but bring him into bed with me. (I was desperate for sleep, and willing to risk a puppy accident for it). To my surprise, I never woke up to an accident. EVER! Keep in mind, he was 8 weeks old! I could go on and on about why Theo is the best dog in the world, but I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking :)

I am so grateful for him. He lights up my world and I am blessed to be his momma. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for bringing this sweet baby into my life. (Theo when I brought him home vs now!)

At first, I was nervous about purchasing a puppy online in another state, but Melissa made me feel comfortable (even amidst the Covid-19 pandemic) and promptly answered all my questions over the phone and through email. I am absolutely in love with little Alice! She’s a 2 lb nine-week-old apricot toy Maltipoo. We had to take two planes back home from Arkansas and she was extremely well-behaved and confident for a puppy her age; absolutely no barking or whining which took me by surprise. It seemed like she was already well-socialized and crate-trained. All the flight attendants requested to take photos with her and she was just a doll about it! When I took her to my vet back home she said that Alice was in perfect condition and that she came from a great breeder. She is the happiest, most playful, healthy, and curious puppy. She was my best decision, and she brings me such joy. Adopting a new puppy can be nerve-wracking at times but don’t worry if you’re adopting from Melissa. She exceeded my expectations in every aspect! Little Alice is so perfect.

Hey Melissa!

Hope all is well. Just wanted to share this picture of Tommy I grabbed this morning. He’s such a cutie and so well behaved. He’s almost fully vaccinated and the vet said he’s a very healthy pup. He’s loving his backyard and even knows how to play fetch already! Super smart. Thank you for bringing Tommy into my life!

Best,

Hi Melissa--

Feel free to post on your page.

We are so in love with our Cavapoo from Cutie Poo Pups. He's healthy, sweet, soft and cuddly. The adoption process was super easy and Flight Nanny brought our sweet Dino here with care. I highly recommend this breeder.

Hi! Just wanted to send you an update on our Aussiedoodle, Remi. (Formerly Addy.) She has been excellent from the beginning. Since she was a bit older when we got her, she was pretty much totally house trained when we got her. We put her in a crate by our bed the first night. She barely whimpered. We told her to hush and she was quiet for the rest of the night and every night since. She's had only 2 or 3 accidents in the house. And that was right after we got her. We bought bells to hang on the door knob. Within a week, she was ringing the bells to let us know when she needed outside. Although she has found other reasons to ring the bells...like when she's out of food or water. Lol! She's extremely smart and learns very quickly. We take her for car rides and I even have a sling I can put her in to go shopping. Our two year old granddaughter loves her and they play together lots. She has helped our hearts heal after losing our last dog to cancer. We hope to spoil her for many years to come!

Thank you!

My best friend had been desperately looking for a puppy so I decided to help her and found a puppy from this breeder. My friend and her husband adore her however the cost of medical bills is overwhelming and I feel so darn bad because i was the one that found her. She had a urinary infection and they had to take her back to the vet and try different meds because it would not go away. After more issues and yet more doctors and specialists it was determined that she had a bladder stone and a liver shunt. The surgery and vet/specialist bills was in the thousands. I feel like they should have been offered at least a partial refund of the puppy. If she were mine I would have returned her because I can’t afford vet bills like this not to mention her quality of life going forward. Of course her emails are ignored now. I just feel so bad for her because they did not have over 7000 to spend on a dog. This was a life threatening issue that could not be ignored. So very sad not to mention wrong.

This is a complaint on behalf of someone else's experience? Obviously you have taken the role of liaison so please have your friend reach out to me. We do not ignore our clients. If you friend feels she has been ignored please have her call us. I am certain she has that information. We will uphold our genetic and health guarantee that came with her puppy as we do with all of our clients. Please make sure to share that information with your friend. She does have recourse. We will certainly look into this and offer her the compensation she is entitled to per our five year genetic guarantee against life threatening conditions. All of our clients sign an acknowledgment and agreement to our 5 year guarantee at the time of receiving their puppy so she has that information. If not then have her reach out and I will send her a copy. The love and care your friend has for her puppy is very special and is truly appreciated. Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention and we will certainly look into it further once your friend contacts us.

I adopted and Italian Greyhound from Melissa 4 years ago. She has Lupus, so she can't go in the sun without lesions appearing on her nose and ear tips. She has cutaneous vasculitis so the blood vessels in her ear tips become inflamed and then the ear tips break off and bleed everywhere. Her ears are bald, purple and jagged from inflammation. She has cataracts in both eyes, one eye she is now completely blind and the other she is almost blind. She will have to have surgery now to restore her vision. She has all of these issues at only 4 years old. The vet told me to reach out the breeder so she could consider not breeding the parents of my dog anymore. I sent Melissa a text message telling her my Italian Greyhound is very unhealthy with genetic diseases, and she replies, “So sorry we do not breed shiihtzus anymore.”

It breaks my heart to hear this. I have tried several times to reach out to this family but no one will respond. I tried to communicate with her about these issues with no response or follow up from her. I sent several text messages. I asked for vet reports confirming a diagnosis which I have still not received. I asked for DNA reports confirming that the issues with her dog were in fact a result of a genetic disorder. To this day nothing. There are other known causes for lupus and cataracts but without testing those causes cannot be confirmed. Dogs develop lupus when their bodies form antibodies targeting their own body tissues. Unfortunately, there's often no definitive explanation for why this occurs. SLE can be heritable, while in other cases, it seems to be triggered by an infection or certain medications. This statement came from research about Lupus and dogs. A genetic basis for her dogs condition has never been established. If you would like to reach out to me so I can get a better understanding of what is going on with your puppy I will be more than happy to assist in anyway I can.

Wowww! I typed in cutie poo pups reviews and I found this forum.

I bought a toy poodle from her 2yrs ago.

Thankfully my fur baby is healthy.

I bought him as an apricot.

Of course poodles change color but I didn’t expect such a dramatic change.

Now my baby is cream.

2weeks ago on his lower back his fur turned red/brown.

The doctor and the groomer said they’ve never seen such a dramatic change.

I reached out to her by email and text because we’re just curious.

No reply.

By Reading the other complaints it makes sense that my fur baby was so afraid of people when I purchased him.

She will make sure to let you know that she has been breeding for 20yrs.

I hope people google the reviews before purchasing.

Sam I want to apologize for the oversight on not responding to your email. It was an email that I did not see and that is why I did not respond. I do apologize. Emails can get lost or sent into spam folders so If i fail to respond to an email it is not on purpose. Sending a text or calling is another way of reaching out to us.

We post our phone numbers on our website as well. This way there are several ways to reach out to us. We spend a lot of time socializing our puppies. The transition from my home to a new home can be scary for a puppy and can take a few days for the new puppy to acclimate. We offer tips and advice on how to make the transition easier. I was not made aware that your new puppy was having a hard time acclimating to his new home. Now as far as his color goes apricot poodles almost 100% of the time will lighten to cream. In order for a poodle not to change color they must be color bred. Meaning several generations of only one color. We never make any kind of guarantee on color nor do we make a prediction of adult color. I am glad he is healthy and doing wonderful. The pictures you posted are very sweet.

I’ve had almost the same experience I’ve except I didn’t do a dna test. My puppy had to be put down before she had to b put down because it f the neurological issues that she ere causing constant seizures even through large doses of anti seizure medication. I hate Melissa for doing this to me.

This is so sad on so many levels. I am truly sorry for what this pup and Deanna went through. I am telling my side of this only because Deanna gave me no choice. She wants you to believe that her puppy suffered from a neurological disorder that was the result of a congenital defect. Please understand that was not determined. Deanna could not offer any kind of diagnosis as to what was causing her dogs seizures. The vet report stated there could be multiples causes some of which were not congenital or genetic. Infection and or trauma could be reasons. Deanna refused to do any diagnostic testing on her puppy to rule out what the issue was or if it could be treated. She chose to euthanize the puppy without ruling out a cause or a possible treatment plan.. Deanna contacted me months later and demanded a refund of $956.00. She supplied me with a vet letter that stated no diagnosis could be determined. The vet noted Deanna denied any diagnostic testing to rule out infection or other possible causes. I explained to Deanna that without a diagnosis it could not be determined that this was a congenital disorder. The genetic guarantee that I gave Deanna when she pick up the puppy explained in detail that a cause has to be determined. Also my genetic guarantee is a replacement puppy guarantee. Deanna was aware of this when she purchased her puppy. She signed the guarantees. I offered Deanna $1000 toward the price of another puppy even though I was not obligated to because a diagnosis was never determined. This was an attempt to recognize what she went thru and some sort of resolution. She denied my offer. She then started black mailing me. She told me that if I did not give her what she demanded then she would post videos of her puppy having a seizure and she would make sure to cause me loss of revenue and much hassle. Here are her exact words "I’m sure your lost business, poor press and the hassle I will create for you and cutie poos will cost much more than the $956 I requested" It is not right for you to blame me or lead anyone to believe that what happen to Mckenzie is in anyway my responsibility. You, nor I, nor the vet, knew what was causing the dogs seizures because you denied diagnostic testing and then euthanized the puppy. I understand that you felt this was the humane thing to do and I am sorry you were ever put in that situation. It is terrible to say the least that anyone should have to go thru that. I know you are angry and you are hurt.

I just found this resource page on Embarks website. Embark is the DNA company that DNAs dogs trying to verify purebred status or mix breed. I hope this can give people a better understanding about DNA and know it is not an exact science. I think embark had to put this on their site because breeders were getting DNA back stating that they were breeding AKC registered mutts. Here is the link https://embarkvet.com/breeders/resources/canine-genetics-for-dog-breeders/advice-and-best-practices/purebred-as-mixed/ and the article from embark themselves...
Dog fanciers are rightly passionate about their breeds, and the unique attributes that define breed type, characteristics, temperament, and ability. Generations of careful breeding and selection have helped to refine these breed-specific traits and allow everyone to enjoy the remarkable variation that is represented in the world of purebred dogs!

At Embark we celebrate and support the dog breeders who have worked tirelessly, and with great passion, to produce exceptional dogs. We share their mission and appreciate the opportunity to contribute our expertise in genetic health to this age-old pursuit.

Therefore, we understand that it can be concerning when a purebred dog is tested using Embark’s DNA Test for Breeders, and the results indicate the dog is a mixed breed. While this is uncommon and can be an indication of crossbreeding, there are also situations where truly purebred dogs receive this result.

When Embark conducts a DNA Test on a purebred dog, we use a proven scientific approach to assess the genetic makeup of the dog using a process involving reference panels. A reference panel is a group of dogs that have all been registered as purebred in a particular breed, and Embark’s reference database of tens of thousands of purebred dogs is the largest and most diverse in the world. This database is used to identify a genetic signature unique to the breed, but of course does not include every dog in every breed.

For a variety of reasons, the registered purebred dog tested by Embark may not perfectly match the genetic signature of the reference panel. One example is the dog may have an ancestor that is in a closely related breed which was utilized prior to the closing of the breed’s studbook many generations ago. Another reason is that the dog may come from a bloodline that is geographically very distant from the group of reference panel dogs. These results in no way affect the “purebred” status of the dog or its standing with the registration body. In fact because these dogs usually contain genetic signatures not common in the breed, they can be highly useful for maintaining or even increasing genetic diversity in the breed!

For additional reading on why and how a purebred dog’s DNA may diverge from that of the reference panel, please see this article by Embark’s Senior Scientist Aaron Sams: https://embarkvet.com/resources/dog-genetics/dog-dna-diverges/

Must have hurt her puppy mill business, because she had my review removed from Puppyfind.com, JUST remember if you are reading this, SHE WILL NOT SHOW A VIDEO OF THE MOM OF THE PUPS. SHE IS ALSO A BROKER FOR HER OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS. DON'T BE FOOLED. Had she given a video, I would have purchased a puppy from her, but am SO GLAD I didn't. Just look at the thousands of dollars the other lady had to spend at the beginning of this complaint board. AND she has the nerve to pass it off as, NOT her problem. B.S. when you charge 1500.00 + for a dog, there shouldn't be issues. BUT if you are breeding every heat, leave those poor females in small nasty cages, and when they are done making money for you, you sell them off in groups of 3-5 females and ONE MALE, well, that just goes to show you what she is about. Not the animal, just her greedy little self. She sees them as a money maker, and nothing else. POS

AGREED. She lied to rs and said She doesn't breed any other dogs. should have known when we asked to see the puppies parents She wouldn't and she has some lame excuse why She won't let you pickup onsite. She has a property full of dogs. She sells on MANY puppy mill and broker sites. Reputable breeders are PROUD to show you the facilities of their home. If she's selling dogs for 2000$ and up and meeting you at a backwoods gas station or wherever you better have flags go up. And your receipt says silky something because it's another dog breed she breeds. So if you buy a Coton and she says she doesn't sells any other breeds and the receipt she says will say something else AFTER you purchased she's lying! The you research her because you don't like how your guilty consciousness feels and see she sold other breeds and there's Complaints posted with the same month you bought a different breed RUN. WE ARE turning her in to be inspected. We have someone who works with rescues and told us she sounds like a high end backyard mass breeder. A puppy mill for A LOT OF MONEY. A LOT!

YES and unfortunately people are naive enough to not know how good she is at scamming. And see, she gets notified of every one of these, and she will NOT SHOW a video of the parents. I found this after she cancelled my deposit, and I started doing research on puppy mills. There should be no reason someone wouldn't show you a parent, UNLESS they are trying to hide [censored]. She also wants cash on pick up, or charges more for the credit card fee. She needs to be turned into the IRS as well, because I can guarantee you, she is not paying in what she should too. We need to find another thread to complain on. She is a pos and she knows it.

It is Havana Silks, one of the other names she used after getting too many complaints. She changes the names so people can't find our complaints so easily. It was Posh Puppy Love, Havana Silks, and now Cutie Poo Pups. I am sure she will think of another name, and pretend that it is some high end, oh I care so much, so fill out this application, and spay and neuter contract. SHE copied this from a reputable breeder, she doesn't care. I filled mine out, 30 seconds later I get a response, and I quote "OK leave your deposit" They didn't read one thing, or confirm with my vet etc. All they care about is the money. AND the flight nanny they suggest is part of their puppy mill family. I asked them if they had ever been to where she raises these puppies, NO response from them either. They all work together and help each other. That is WHY she will not respond here. No video huh Melissa Barnes Bassinger, So called, I choose Sunday as a day of worship, yea, right, she is the devil, and works for him and deserves to rot

Did you go and see her home, and where she breeds her numerous animals. And WHY are we brutal? Because when you ask [protected] per puppy, WE ask to see a video of the mom with the puppies. WHY is that brutal? I can guarantee 100% that you DID NOT see a video, OR in person, WHERE she is breeding these dogs. 100% guarantee. SHE will not show you because of their condition. SO please, enough with brutal, ASK her then, if you had such a good experience, to put up a video of these puppies and the moms. ASK her to put up a video of her kennel, with all the dogs barking. I believe you are a friend of hers. No video, No proof. She is a PUPPY MILL.

melissa has a long history spanning many many years. as she has numerous breeds, kept in large outdoor buildings, she is definitely a puppy mill. she hasn’t been usda licensed in more than10 years, but previously held several licenses, different customer numbers, and business names. when she’s “done” with the parent dogs, she advertises through the dog auction and only sells them in groups (to other breeders). so sorry you and your puppy had to suffer.

Again, she has a response, and NO VIDEO of where her dogs are. All you need to do is look up Puppy mills, they show lists of them and where they are in each and every State. She doesn't let you come to her home to pick up the dog. I have copied exactly what is on her website, here it is.

The address for pick up is 4406 hwy 9 springfield Ar. 72027. There is a store there called Birdtown Country Store. Please park in the open lot next to the store.. Meeting time is 10am on Saturdays. I do not do Sunday pick up. Please bring cash on pick up. If you must use a card then there is a 3% processing fee added to the final balance

That is not her home, it is a rinky dink little store. Look it up. Look at how she has changed her precious puppy breeding business' name several times. Stop making everyone else look bad, when it is you that is the bad person. She WILL NOT SHOW VIDEOS OF THE PARENTS OF THE PUPS. MAYBE A PHOTO but who knows where and when that was taken. For clarification the area she is pointing to with the red arrows are not cages. This photo was taken high in the sky so the fact that you can even see them in the photo should attest to the fact that they are very large and are not cages. Also this lady has never been to my home so she has no idea what she is actually looking at. She does not even know what the building she is pointing to is actually used for. We have a farm with horses and cattle and chickens. We have large equipment such as tractors and implements. Just like any working farm we have to have a lot of outbuilding. For goodness sake she is using google maps and painting her on story. That one little area! That is very funny. Maybe she needs to keep looking on Google maps and she might find the rest of my areas...Lord only knows where her imagination will take her if she does. A honey bee does not waste her time telling a fly that honey taste better than crap...My pups do not get shipped off. You are more than welcome to pick up your puppy. My daughter can bring your puppy to you and I have a list of cities on my website that she can drive to and meet you or you can arrange for the flight nanny to fly with your puppy in cabin. This lady is just not someone I want to have one of my pups. She got a refund of her deposit and she is upset.

Wrong. I farm. These ARE DOG RUNS. OMG. COME ON LADY. some Christian. Get honest.

1. How many breeds of dogs to you breed. You told us 1.

2. How many times a year do you breed your females. You told us 3 or 4 a year.

3. Do you sell broker your pups on puppyfind.com and other sites? You told ME NO

4. There are WAY TOO MANY COMPLAINTS that have the same experience. Why?

5. You have a staff hired to help with so many different breeds right? There is NO possible way one person retired can take care of that many puppies as you say you do. I see from someone I know purchased from you and contacted me the same concerns. You sold them a different breed than what we purchased and after we said it was so important we didn't purchase from a scammer or broker you said you only had the one breed. And WOULDNT DISCLOSE any pictures or anything about the sire or dame. Honestly Ms. Christian you were fully dishonest with us.

There is no way I'm going to give you the pleasure of our name here. We are bringing awareness now to EVERYONE.

FOR ANYONE CONTEMPLATING A PUPPY LOOK UP "HOW TO SPOT A PUPPY MILL" I am just SICK about what we did feeding money to a cause we fight to end. I'm completely a fool. Fell for her southern I'm a retired nurse line. This picture of her property is the dogs runs. Look up any kennel. Same runs in back of building. Everyone please educate yourself. Oh I care for them and socialize them, SHE is full of CRAP. I can't wait until someone sneaks in there and does a video of what she is. This is where she breeds her dogs, look close, LOOK AT ALL THE CAGES THAT YOU can SEE, only one THAT ONE LITTLE AREA. Look at the size of the barn compared to the home. Most likely 50-100 breeding adults. At least that is what I can find on an Arkansas web page. THIS is why she will not allow you to see inside of her money maker. She is only in it for the money. Don't be fooled. No video, no puppy! DON'T let her steal your money, and the poor pups that get shipped off, most likely by another family member.

Still no video for Cutie Poo Pups Melissa Basinger. Remember, HEED this warning, BEFORE you buy from her. DO NOT ACCEPT a photo of a parent, you don't know when they were taken. INSIST on a video, from inside her puppy mill breeding barn. She will not do it, people like her do NOT want you to see where they keep these animals. Go on googlemaps you can see the size of the barn, about double the size of their home for her breeding. If you dare to ask for a video of the pups with the mom, she will not sell to you. WAITING ON THE VIDEOS MELISSA BARNES BASINGER. 1500.00 a dog, and refuse to show people where that animal is kept and the condition of the parents.

Wow, you have the unmitigated nerve to come on here after all this time and start at me again? Okay, let's do this...

You didn't sell us a Cavapoo, and you KNOW it! You sold us a $2000.00 mixed breed mutt. I found my pup's sister, also an expensive mixed breed mutt. It was only AFTER I reached out to those owners that you refunded half of their money, even though they had previously asked. Let's be clear, you still charged us $1000.00 for a mixed breed mutt with health issues.

As I've already stated on here, the $2000.00 we paid for our pup doesn't count the cost of the flight nanny and the thousands more we have an will pay to keep her alive. She is on daily medication, which she will be for her entire life, and she will ALWAYS only have one kidney.

I was the one that made all of the paperwork happen and even reworded some of your contract. I knew what your terms were for the $2000.00 Havapoo we were supposed to be purchasing. When we proved to you that we had a mixed breed with severe health issues, you should have refunded every last cent of our money.

You are most definitely running a puppy mill; you know it, I know it, and hopefully others that are looking for a puppy will find this before they support your ridiculous house flipping, puppy mill lifestyle.

Stop coming at me with your holier than though, I care so much junk! You don't care, it's all fake!

Jamie I did not come at you. I just told my side of the story. You have made the same complaint twice so I responded to both complaints. I am not sure how my response comes off as a holier than though. I admitted I made a breeding mistake. I had no idea she had been exposed to two different males. I have apologized, I have offered you a full refund on the puppy. I offered you a full refund not long after you got her when you first expressed concerns with me. You refused the full refund and would not return her. So lets be CLEAR I OFFERED YOU ALL OF YOUR MONEY BACK before she started having health issues. I offered you a full refund after she started having health issues. You refused and YOU CHOSE TO KEEP HER. YOU HAD A CHOICE regardless if you feel like you didn't. I asked you several times to return the pup. Keeping her was a choice you made. IT WAS YOUR CHOICE Jamie...I am not responsible for your decisions. Most people would have ended it there. I still was willing to work with you but was not going to give you a full refund and let you keep this pup. So I offered you half of your money back and you keep the puppy. You agreed to that then two months later you demanded more money but still refused to return the pup. I offered several times to take her back. It was her choice and yes it was a choice. Yes she was fully aware before she purchased the puppy of how I handle a health or genetic concern per my health guarantee that comes with every puppy. I would give anything if I had the power to control every health issue or concern a dog could have. No breeder can do that. I had no control over the issues her puppy has. A congenital defect is just that. Something goes wrong during development such as being born with one kidney. I cannot control food sensitivity. Her pup was eating a chicken based diet before I sent her so I had no idea. I would have refunded every last cent of Jamies money had she returned the puppy back to me but she decided to keep her and she has no right to be mad at me because I did not want to give the dog away for free...What is boils down to is this. She chose to purchase a puppy for a $1000 that she said in her own words not mine was a Mutt with health issues and she is mad about it. If anyone is looking to move into the Central Arkansas area look me up on Facebook. We build and remodel beautiful custom homes. You can find some of my work on my Facebook Page MK Home Designs. You better DNA test all of your 100 breeding dogs, because obviously they are not 100% Any of the parents, you should know exactly what they are, at LEAST a reputable breeder knows that! But of course you are not, just a money hungry puppy mill (thang) that's what you are. No videos of the small little cages, and I wish someone in your area would sneak up and video, because I would make sure it was put out everywhere so everyone can see what you do.

Bless your heart... You act like everyone should just be delighted to work with you and be graced with one of your puppies. You run a puppy mill, any if you put as much care into your house flipping business as you do your puppy mill, I would certainly hope nobody buys one of your homes.

You KNOW my pup was TOO sick to return! She barely made it, we were feeding her via a syringe to keep her alive. So, when exactly do you think she was well enough to fly? After I had nursed her back from the brink of death and paid a bunch of medical expenses? Who was going to refund me for all of that, huh? You? Nope... No, you certainly weren't going to. I had to take time off of work, etc.

It's pretty simple Melissa, a RESPONSIBLE breeder knows who sired a litter and wouldn't send 4 different pictures of the "supposed" parents. That's as easy as I can break it down for you.

Have a nice day...

Yes I did give Fed up 2 her money back. She stated she had concerns and so did I. Mary is just not the type of person I want to have one of my pups. I am my puppies advocate. If I am not comfortable in working with a client then I have the right to walk away. She is not a good fit for one of my pups. Her true character is in every word of her comment. It is because I care about my pups and where they go that I refunded her money back to her. I am also very confused about her outburst. If she feels that I am a puppy mill then why is she so upset that she got a refund. . I am not concerned with trying to change Mary's mind. I made the decision not to sell her one of my pups and I will still stand by that decision regardless of how upset she is or how she chooses to backlash. The more she does the more satisfied I am in my decision.

Where are the videos then of the parents and where you breed. responsible breeders do not get the parents mixed up either. come on post a video of your breeding area> why don't you acknowledge this. why can't people come to your home to pick up the pup. show the video of the parents. or keep your puppy mill mouth closed.

The only concern I had, was a video of the pups with the mom< she immediately sent my money back and said I wouldn't be a good fit, because I wanted to see the condition of the mother> to me, that sounds like someone that actually cares about an animal. nope not you missy, you only see $. you act so open and honest, oh spay neuter contract my [censored] you don't offer breeder support, once you get paid, that is all you care about. show the video melissa, because I will not stop. even if you switch the name again, I will find you. no doubt about it.

Please enlighten all of us Melissa, I requested a video of the pups with their mom, you suddenly refunded my money and said you had concerns. You should have instantly sent a video of all of them. You should have been thrilled that someone would care enough to want to see their pups mom. BUT nope, no video, still, and yet you pretend like you don't see these. You will not even give an explanation of what your concerns were. Stay away from this woman, as soon as she denied the video, I knew she was a puppy mill. I was doing research on her, and found this forum, that was when I demanded a video for a 1500.00 dog. NO VIDEO...COME ON MELISSA, I WILL NOT STOP, :)

She flat out refuses to give you a video of the pups with the mom too. they do not allow you to pick up the puppy from their home, on cattle drive in center ridge arkansas either. then she refunded my deposit and told me that I wouldn't be a good fit for the puppy, why, because I called her out and said if I am spending 1500.00 on the puppy, I insist she send me a video. she pretends that she cares "so much" about these puppies, and that she sent me a photo. (that could have been taken before the bred the poor girl every single heat) and the photo should be enough. bull crap. she is a puppy mill, and is scared to let anyone see what she has going on. then tells me that just because she is advertising the puppies, doesn't mean they are in her possession. wait< what, on puppyfind.com they clearly state how, from the moment they are born, they are socialized. oh bull crap, the only way she could make me change my mind on her, is by showing the huge pole barn building, on video, from the outside going into the inside of it. I am guessing that they have between 50-100 breeding dogs in their puppy mill business. this woman is a joke, and then she tries to say that she feels like she is on trial. damn right you are, if you are selling puppies for this much money, you better be willing to show everything, or let it be known that you are a lying puppy mill person. judgement day will come for you. mary can't wait to see a response, with no video
