WAYA RENTALS / NON-REFUND OF DEPOSIT
We took care of the vacation rental like our own. We are extremely clean and meticulous and left the place cleaner than we got it. The owner did not physically inspect the property on departure. We found out a day later that he was retaining our $375 deposit claiming we dirtied the hot tub. Firstly, we did not dirty the hot tub, we used it under normal circumstances and it may have had normal wear and tear. We were told there was feces left in the tub??? We are mature highly educated adults. Secondly, and most importantly, the tub is outdoors, and unsecured (i.e. in backyard w/ no lock on cover and no fence and house sits slightly off main road). The owner inspection happened one day later, and anything could have happened to the tub between when we left and when the owner inspected.
This is very unfortunate, that our $375 deposit was unjustly taken from us. The owner/manager refused to discuss the matter and asked me to stop contacting him.
I WOULD NOT recommend for anyone to do business with Waya Rentals.
