The Country Club Of Virginia / Employee mistreatment

1 United States Review updated:

I just want to take a moment to warn anyone against taking a job at The Country Club of Virginia. They do not take care of employees as they claim. In fact, employees will be put in danger if it makes the members happy. Buildings with ceilings about to cave in are where tools are kept. Superintendents will send out employees in lightening storms to mow greens before a tournament and pay raises are a joke. The employee turnover rate is phenomenal. Think twice before applying.

Wow, there are so many horror stories from employees. I worked for management who was not above putting employees in positions to cause injury. I suffer greatly everyday from the consequences of choosing to stay a little longer because of money and benefits. I also learned a hard lesson of how the law goes to great lengths to protect corporations from injured, disgruntled or abused employees. We recently released a book about my experience called Right To Work. The treatment I experienced was beyond reason. How does this exist in this day and age? Elizabeth Alan
