We'd like to file a complaint against Sandy Peterman from Stardust Parson Russell Terriers on behalf of breaching our contract and lack of customer service.

We've been working with Sandy for 7 months at this point and wanted to purchase a Parson Terrier from this breeder. After three failed litter attempts (this is also concerning in itself), Sandy discussed with us that we could move on to a different breeder or stay with her and try for the next litter. At this point we were in good standing with Sandy and we decided to continue working with her. On May 2, after we decided to stay with her she told us via Facebook messenger that we would have first pick of her litter after her. The pups were born on July 26th and we started asking questions about how the process works. This is our first time working with a breeder so we wanted to ensure that we were understanding everything. We had asked if we could meet the dogs before our pick up date to meet their personalities. This was denied. We had asked if we got to choose our dogs on the day that we picked him up (September 23), this was also denied. So, instead of getting a choice like she promised, it was now clear that she was going to assign us a puppy without us getting to meet him. After asking this question on Facebook, she launched into us stating that she always got first pick, we knew and respected this. We never once thought we got to pick over her we just simply wanted to know if we got to choose between the other two males in the litter because she stated that we got first pick after her. After some back and forth on Facebook it was clear that our communication was misunderstood and we asked to call her. She flat out said "I honestly don't know why it is so important at this point to talk on the phone".

She asked if we wanted our deposit back and we said no, we wanted to proceed. My Husband tried to call her on Sunday and then, on Wednesday August 23, one month before we were supposed to get our dog, we got our deposit back. Not a heads up from Sandy. We are so heartbroken over this issue and don't understand how a breeder can go back on her word without trying to work it out over the phone with a customer. This has been a very emotional and long process and we are devastated over this news. I'd like Sandy to understand that what she did was wrong and I hope that she doesn't conduct this type of business in the future. If she states that we got first pick after her, then she should honor this. I have every email and facebook message saved if you need to look into this further.
