I found out about this when my Credit Card company contacted me about an unusual charge on my card. I disputed the charge and my card company cancelled my card and issued a new one. I also called the vendor...they said I had signed up for this savings club. I didn't remember doing tihs, but I told them I wanted to cancel. They said okay. Months later, I am still getting bills for this Savings Club. I called again to cancel and was told that the only way I could cancel is if I paid the $59.70 that was now past due. I told them I had not used the service, and didn't even know how to access the service. They told me they would keep billing me $19.90 each month until I paid...and will not let me cancel until I pay.

I have been getting billed for 1 year by Smart Shopper which my credit card company notified me recently. When I call the phone number on the credit card bill they can't find me in the system. So I called this number above and they still can't find me. Now I had to close my credit card and dispute all the charges.

I was called and said that I would get a $100 gift card for Walmart. Only a $3.95 processing fee. Then they told me I had to say yes to 4 other offers before I could get the confirmation code to activate my $100 card. I stated that I did not want to say yes to anything else. They then said "well we already have your credit card information and you will be charged $3.95, $14.00, $29.00, and $39.00 every month." I said I want to cancel and they laughed and said that I had to say yes to all the offers before I could cancel. I hung up and called my bank saying that I had just been scammed and they closed my card. They keep calling me back and telling me that they hope that I enjoy my monthly fees. I told them that I cancelled my card and they said that they can get my new card number and charge me. They said that they were calling from Pheonix, AZ and the number that called me was [protected], an Oregon number. Then I keep getting calls from them with [protected] as the number showing up on my caller id.

uh oh. I just got off the phone with these people a few hours ago. They said they were charging me $3.95 per week for the membership but I have a 7 day trial and I can cancel anytime. I just checked my bank account and I was charged the $3.95. I will be canceling my card and keep an eye out for any more charges. Did anyone get the $120 gift card?

Yikes! Same just happened to me! I told them i was ALSO recording the conversation and would be sending a copy to my lawyer if I had an issue with cancelling (i had JUST made the order an hour prior and felt something was off--two different biz names, different prices quoted from the online offer, etc.) i alerted my bank immediately and they said i had to officially cancel. Much of what was already recounted in above posting happened and they were very reluctant to give me an email address to send an official written cancellation. I finally quoted THEIR physical address (i was looking at it online from my research) and finally was given a name of a supervisor, ms. Jo Cortez. Then when i would state i wanted my FULL refund, the rep, Abby, ran on about something regarding this was a "yearly subscription" so they were going to give me a portion of the money back (!) when i balked at that she finally relented to give me the full amount. This is after only having made the order an hour ago! I put my bank on notice. So we'll see...definitely do NOT trust them!

I just got off the phone with Stephanie at [protected]. She put me on mute several times when I asked her for her employee number. I refused to give her any info before I gave her any of my info. When I explained to her. as calmly as I could, I wanted to keep a record of our conversation, she put me on mute again, and told me how it was for my security that I tell her my info. I explained again in a firmer voice that I was not giving any info until I got her ID. Mute, again, and when she came back, she did give a number to me, and explained that our conversation was being recorded, of course for my security. She asked for my first and last name, I told her just my first name, but refused to give my last name, I told her the order number on the billing statement, and told her that is all she needed. I did have to tell her several times the number. I refused to tell her any other info she asked for, telling her she could look up the account with what I had given her. I was put on mute again, when I asked her how the company could send a bill to my 15 year old son like this. Mute again, and again asked for my last name and address. I had to ask her my question again. Mute. Then "OK, sir, I will cancel this bill and you will not be charged further" I asked if there was some kind of confirmation for this and I was given the original order number. I asked for an email to the email address that the bill was sent to. No we will send it to the address that is on the bill. Then Stephanie asked if she had satisfied all my needs for the call. I just repeated to her if the bill was canceled, I would be satisfied. She then thanked me for calling customer service, I will give my friend, Stephanie, about a week to send me something about the account being canceled, if not we will go thru the whole thing again, until I do get satisfied.

Wow, I just had the same thing happen to me 2 minutes ago. A woman named Leeza with an Indian accent called me saying I won a $100 Target gift card. I didn't even let her get any further than that. I asked her "Why are you calling me at 10:00 at night for this stupid stuff". She kept trying to talk over me until I yelled at her saying that there was a law against calling people this late at night. She then said, "I am sorry for the inconvenience" and starting saying other stuff but I just hung up on her. What is going on with this world any more. Everybody is out to scam everybody else. It's hard enough to try to live without these people trying to scam our hard earned money from us. This call came from St. Louis MO @ [protected]. UNBELIEVABLE how low people are.

The gentlemen with an Indian accent called me from a cell phone number [protected] telling my friend I had won a 100 dollar shopping card. I did not buy the story, or call back the number they gave me [protected] my spidey senses were screaming "scam artists" even before I looked it up, and judging by what I see written I think I probably guessed right. It is sad to live in a world where one has to be suspicious of everything, but if we do not use caution we get burned! My sympathies to all victims of these sorts of people, they are clever, and vile, and know where most peoples weakness lies and do not hesitate to exploit it., They are truly some of the lowest forms of humanity, and why any aliens should probably stay away from our planet. All I can say is may the wheel of Karma crush their souls, as they have harmed so many others...

very unhappy with this company..took money out of my account before giving me any notice or billing. refuse to refund my monies..they said my trial date had past..I counted differently of when the$94+ was due..When i tried to cancel thats when they said they had already taken 50 dollars out of my account. I'm very sorry that i trusted this people, never again...Renarda Price
