I received a coupon for a $70 air duct cleaning. Three men arrived. They kept trying to stear me away from the guy who was actually doing the supposed cleaning while they tried to sell me more stuff. They wanted to charge extra for everything. I said I only wanted the $70 job. They then talked me into purchasing a Safeguard UV light Cleanser. They stick it inside the central air unit to sterilize germs and mildew and said I would never need duct cleaning again so it would be worth the price. They also ordered a custom filter that was suppose to fit in the unit. After they had already installed the UV light they said it would cost $750 for everything. I was upset but that was not all. They added a bunch of other charges so it totaled up to $1392.75. It was too late to make them rip it out. They said they would instal the filter when it arrived. They never did. It doesn't fit. The phone number is phony and the company does not exist in San Jose.

This exact situation happened to me. I wonder if it is the same company. I mean exact. Facts $70. Dollars turned into 700.00. And they initially told me it was 1500.00 for the uv unit. Did you get any help from complaint board? I feel like an idiot. I am usually so strong when it comes to sales pitches. I am mostly mad at myself for being dupe.
