Please do not be mis-led by this company! They are not interested in you all they are interested in is your money! I attended an assessment and was there for about 45 mins, during this time i was utterley mis-led! I had done all my own hair and make-up before i went and when i got there a few pics was taken, the lady said i had produced some good pics. I was then taken into another room and was briefly told about project envy models. She told me i had to pay £750 for them to produce a good portfolio for me, even though i had taken my own proffessional portfolio with almost 60 pics in it, she said she could only use about 3 of these as they was not very good! She told me i could pay this sum over three installments over 3 months. I felt really pressured by her and she never even asked me if i wanted to go ahead with this she just assumed and said i would need to pay £250 there and then! I was quite taken back by this, i explained i did not have that kind of money now! She said well we wont be able to take the rest of your photos in order to get your portfolio started? I said that there was no way i could pay this, i did not have no money in my account till my wages was paid anyway. She said well i will make you another appointment for next week and we can go ahead with the photo shoot then. So still a little connfused with all of this i agreed to make another appointment for the following week. Then she passed me an a4 sheet to sign which had 3 pament amounts on, this was the payment plan of £750 spread over 3 month, so i signed this which now i regret, but as i said it all happened so quickly and nothing was really explained to me, i was not even given the option! Then she asked for my bank card and said i had to pay just £1.00 in order for her to activate my account, i cant believe i fell for this one! I was then given a copy of the signed sheet, which i have now had chance to look at properly and all the T's & C's are on the back, i was not even presented with these as she only showed me the other side, the side i had to sign! I was unaware these was on the back! Anyway she then asked what outfits i had brought and she said why dont you just pop that black dress on and we will take a few pictures in that, so a few more was taken. But bearing in mind she said the real photo shoot could not be done as i had not paid the £250, so i just thought that me putting the black dress on was just a few additional pictures! Nothing was to say otherwise. When i got home and thought about the cost of the whole thing and how she just assumed i was going to pay this, i decided against it and decided to cancel my next appointment. When i called to cancel i was put through to the lady who i had the assessment with, when i told her i was not going ahead with this as i could not afford it, she was very rude to me and said i still had to pay the first payment of £250 as they had started my portfolio and basically i had no choice now! I was really shocked and angry as i had not agreed to this as that was the reason we made a further appointment to do the photo shoot as i never paid the £250 on my innitial appointment! So what was the further appointment ment to be for? She said all the pics had been done and i had about 50 taken which is not true, she also went on to say i had used their make-up artist which is another lie too! I did all my own hair and make up before i went, this made me so angry. I tried to explain this was not true, i even wondered if she had mistaken me for someone else! But she was so rude and adament i had to pay, so i had all this done on my first assessment and i was totally unaware! this is how i was utterley mis-led and SCAMMED into paying this money! She shouted down the phone ' SEE YOU IN COURT ' and slammed the phone down, she was so horrible to me and very unprofessional! After this it dawned on me that they had my bank details, and later that day 3 transactions were pending on my account! I later realised that the 3 transactions was them and they took £590 out of my bank, one lot of £250, another of £240 and another of £100, i was mortified and shocked. It is totally wrong how they have done this and i will make other people aware of their actions, they cant get away with it its discusting and they need stopping! PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE, THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY THATS ALL THEY ARE INTERESTED IN!

With regards to the comment made by Melanie61, im not explaining all this again if you would read my complaint you would get it! All the images on the site i had done on my assessment, and i was misled which i have already explained above how! and just to let you know, you obviously cant count. If you could count properly you would have realised there is not 40+...there is 31!

No im certainley not a scrounger, I already have a portfolio, it was more expensive than Envy actually 'PRINCESS'. I suppose you get what you pay for because I was happy to pay for mine with this other company as i received the service I expected, and more! This is your opinion and I have mine, you may find out what they are really like one day after you have thrown your money away! I have had too many people contact me to say they have been through the same experience as me! Are we all scroungers then? I just dont think so some how...

Hi All,
I've just come across this when dealing with another company who enjoy to scam.
I totally agree with you, yet you all seem a bit naive. I have been a model now for 23 years and now work within a top modelling agency. You should never ever give money to an agency or pay for a portfolio unless you are doing it privately. Big companies that are promising you work usually tend to be a scam.
Agencies work on commission, if they believe you will get work, they will sign you, then when you get paid from your shoots, they take a percentage.
Our agency is currently taking a company through court due to them telling our clients, they can get work then charging them and our agency. Don't make the mistake of doing it, unless you are clever enough to know to only spend a certaing amount of money on the photos, and never ever sign a contract with them. You should only ever pay cash if you insist on doing it, don't give them your card details or any personal details except your name.
Make sure you print out the terms and conditions and take them with you, that way if they bully you or harrass you, you can show them. Also make sure you quiz up on the law before you go and through a few names around, that way, they will soon back off. Failing that, call the police.
I am a proffesional and have been in the trade for a long time, it is personal choice whether you chooses to do it or not, but it is certainly not the best choice.
Thanks

PROJECT ENVY MODELLING

PROJECT ENVY MODELLING

Good morning,

I would like to report bullying and harassment from company called Envy Models Project 17 Exchange Street Retford. Company bullied me and forced me to sign contract without my agreement.
They sent me an email about potential work and saying that I can sign up with their agency and offer me work. All I have to do is to attend on 13th of september and they will assess me if I will qualify or not.
They asked me to come back next day with my id and my bank statements. Reception said she will assess me to see if I am suitable. Once they took my photos then lady called Sarah took me to the room and said here is about our company. We can do photo shoot today but you have to pay deposit 100 pounds. 50 pounds today as a cheque and the rest on a day via cheque. Then you will pay 40 pounds monthly for our services. Here write a cheque and also sign the contract and sign direct debit form But I said I do not have any money. I cannot afford to pay you this money. I am getting paid on 23d of september. I do not have any money at the moment.I am sorry but I do not want to have photo shoot right now and I am not sure if I do want to sign up with your agency. I came here to look for work and I thought your services are free. Then she said We are not leaving this room until this contract is signed. Write a cheque and sign it. I could have not believed it. I was forced to sign contract without my agreement. Woman bullied me and harassed me. She did not want me to leave the building until the contract was signed. I felt like bursting into tears. I said clearly I am not having any photo shoot taken and I run out of the building.

I wrote them letters of complaints asking to cancel contract. I was told over the telephone that I will be taken to court and I am not allowed to cancel contract and I have to attend photo shoot. My crime reference number I reported it to Nottingham police  :|

I had a few photo shoots with envy. The photos have turned out amazing. You get what you pay for. i'm a full time model and i have worked for people for free and the pictures were terrible. I hated them. i'v also went to one in london and pay 64 pound a month and i got what i paided for. If you want to be a model you have to put in before you get anything back. I have really enjoyed my experiance with envy models and cant wait for there next theme day to get more fantasitic pictures back again. Maybe it was something you really didnt want but didnt know until the time. Yer its alot of money all at once but i have my payments split between 12 months. 40 Pound a month which with what i'm getting from envy models i think is very reasonable.

Listen.
I won a competition on Facebook to attend a photoshoot at /removed/ in London. I had to bring all my own clothes, and get there myself, but when i did (with friends) they were welcoming, calmed me down as i was very nervous, got me drinks, did my hair and make-up, helped put my clothes together for several outfits and then i had the shoot. It was an amazing experience, and in the end i signed a contract to say i'd be paying £55 a month for 12months, on the day i'd already paid £100 towards it and had £85 knocked off the price as part of a discount thing (£845 all together) and it was all worth it :)
Obviously something went wrong during the day with your shoot, and i'm experienced with customer complaints and the people do tend to exagerate the truth. So i understand that maybe soemthing went wrong and i sympathise with you, but to bad mouth and slate the company won't get you anywhere, if anything they may warn other places not to accept you as you may cause trouble.
I got a letter from /removed/, i was fully aware of everything that was going to happen, and they also told me that the majority of agencies do the same thing, so i think maybe you were given the infomoration, you just didnt register it all i guess...
I'm sorry your money was taken from you :/ learn from your mistakes darling, in forture make the buggers repeat something if your not sure what they mean :)

you said you only had test shots done? their site shows 40+ images which i refuse to belive any company would do for free so i am forced to agree with josephloveshisboy that said you are probably in a contract that cant be cancelled thus the reason for the bad comments, i think you need to do a little growing up before posting such a longwinded comment with so many holes in it XD
