I bought a pressure cooker on thanks giving 2010, only first time when i cooked food, it locked properly. But from the second time since now it is not locking at all. I am just fed up. Don't know what happened to it but I am just unable to lock it.

I bought this pressure cooker because the seal on my Presto was bad. I only got to use it once and then threw it away. The rocker came on late, causing it to over-pressurize. The house became full of smoke.I turned off the gas, waited awhile and then cooled it off. The bottom became round instead of flat and the beef roast was a piece of charcoal. i've used pressure cookers for over 60 years so i know what i'm doing. This cooker is dangerous !
