Paula Glickstein has been a corrupt family attorney for years. Her scam is to lure you in to her practice with verbal offers that are just false promises and claims to save you money although her hourly rate is high over $400/hr.
Several of her clients have been left bankrupt.
Typically, she asks you to put up your house or other asset as collateral with the claim that her legal fees will never amount to that.
She also incites worry and confusion in her clients minds once she is engaged to rack up attorney fees and has no concern about the families and children she hurts for her own personal gain.
Please beware because her fees will start ramping up dramatically once you are "locked-in" with all her "required due diligence" and interrogatories. Her commitment is based solely on maximizing fees and will exit your case if it suits her leaving you with work half done which is useless.

I googled PAULA GLICKSTEIN's name in hopes she had been disbarred or worse by now. Unfortunately, it appears she is still in practice allegedly destroying people's lives, turning on her clients, and bilking them out of their money, as I have read in the reviews above.
I naively hired her approx. 20 yrs. ago when I was forced to sue a family member for swindling my life savings and leaving me and my children homeless and penniless. There were extreme problems with Paula including: her attitude, her representation, and a fee dispute. The worst alleged betrayal was overstepping her boundaries by turning on me and instead working in behalf of the family member I was suing, who was attempting to further deprive me of my interest in a real estate property! She was replaced by a competent attorney.
I filed a complaint against Paula Glickstein with the State Bar whose response included the following: "While we do not condone this attorney's actions which you have described, there are simply insufficient facts to warrant the commencement of formal disciplinary proceedings against the attorney. However, your inquiry will be noted the attorney's record."
Paula Glickstein has basically restored my faith in humanity. During the most awful divorce in history. And after being taken advantage of by horrible evil lawyers for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Paula made me want to be a lawyer instead of the doctor that i am. She is brilliant, ethical and completely badass when she needs to be. I had three lawyers before her which basically only took care of themselves. When you're going though a divorce, you don't know whats going on and you are completely vulnerable to evil lawyers. Be careful ! Paula Glickstein can be trusted. I'm very proud to know her.

Paula has been the perfect attorney for me. She came highly recommended by someone I trust implicitly. She listened to and has respected the direction I wanted my case to take, and has done everything in her power to achieve the outcome I was seeking. She is honest, professional, forthright, and diligent. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.
Divorce is a dirty, unhappy business. Often, as in my case, it is impossible to rein things in and do it cooperatively, when the other side is completely unreasonable, and hell-bent on making YOU PAY for what you've "done to them." Paula is thoroughly professional and totally prepared. That costs money, but itis money necessitated by the dynamic of how vigorously you are opposed.. Fraud? Hardly. Paula is a total straight-shooter. Sometimes the truth hurts but, believe me, it needs to be heard and Paula will tell you. To sum up: she is diligent, honest, smart, , and resourceful. Plus, she earned the total respect of the Court, which is what ultimately turned my case around so I got a fair shake, something that was not happening before she took over.. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.
Paula represented me about ten years ago and I was very happy with her service and her fees. She did not overcharge and was very honest and up front about what we could and could not do. I do not agree with the negative review here since that was not my experience with Paula in my divorce.
I have to say that I used Paula long time ago, and she was THE BEST attorney I could have asked for. My ### of an ex-wife had to be put in her place and Paula put her there. She was diplomatic, but there are some people and their attorneys that work on the level of invertebrates that only know hurt or be hurt. Where pure logic and a sugar coating doesn't resolve anything and only gets thrown back at you. Paula can stand toe to toe with those people which is what I hired her for. She did her best of me but that still did not stop the other side from dragging things out for a very long time and Paula cannot control that. My case was resolved to my satisfaction and I was always surprised at how low her bills were considering all she was doing for me! I still keep in contact with her.
Complaint is spot on. Paula Glickstein is extremely unethical and has a reputation among lawyers (her professional peers) for churning on the client's dime. If you have money to burn and want to see the other party suffer financially, then please, retain Paula, as you will not be disappointed. Also, she is an excellent attorney to maintain hostility between the parties and using the children as pawns. Some of her tactics include filing false complaints with the Department of Social Services, Child Protective Services, to manipulate the system in an attempt to deem the other parent as abusive to the children. That the children's self-esteem is affected is of no concern. Likewise if the police show up at your children's school to interrogate them about false allegations of abuse.

Paula has been representing me during the resolution of my marriage. She tried encouraging my soon-to-be-ex to attend mediation and not use attorneys. She did not feel that our assets, and the fact that there is no argument over child custody, warranted using her services. She has been completing honest from day one.
This complaint was made to The State Bar by a client who is not even willing to use his real name. The complaint was determined to be unfounded. Neither of these people used their real names. My practice is entirely family law, dealing with people who are unhappy, angry, and feeling out of control. Very few, but some people, never accept their part in either the disintegration of the marriage, or in keeping the divorce going, often to "get even". There is no "getting even", but unless a client is willing to accept that, and my advice, they lash out - anonymously in these cases - and often against the attorney who tried to get them to stop trying to get even - rarely, but sometimes to no avail. I'm sorry these people were unhappy, but there are some people who are only "happy" being unhappy, and no one is perfect, including me. The guy who wrote the review in not being truthful. I do not know who "agreed" with him, but if he, or she, has a legitimate complaint, contact me directly and we can discuss it.
I agree she represented me too and massively overcharged me and did not deliver.
