My husband and I bought a Cool Mattress from a local store and found out after opening the packaging that it has a lump of coils in the center of the bed and does nothing about maintaining a cool surface like they promised. The bed was worse than our ten year old one. We complained to the store who forwarded us to Park Place and after making ten calls to them they refused to even look at the bed. We talked to some guy named Edwin who just wanted to blame everyone else and get rid of us. They promise a warranty but that does not exist

My husband and I purchased a Park Place Sleep Therapy bed seven years ago. I haven't had a decent night sleep since it was delivered. The company who sold it to us went out of business and Park Place never answered our calls. I assumed they too had gone out of business. I found out today (after mattress shopping) that they're still in business, although I am not sure why, or how. They're mattress is so poorly constructed and I can't even find my husband in it's depths because the valley between us is so big. I am going ahead and purchasing a Stearns and Foster with a 25 year warranty. Yes it's expensive, but a good nights sleep is worth it to me!

I am very happy with my Park Place Mattress experience. I know that a good dealer will furnish its customers with quality follow-up service and it is sad to hear that there are stores out there that are so short sighted as to think that burning a customer won't come back to bite them later!

I too purchased a Park Place mattress, & it is the worst mattress I have ever owned. It does sag extremely bad where we sleep & it did so about a month after purchasing it. I will never buy another Park Place ever & I tell everyone I know who is looking for a new mattress to avoid buying a Park Place mattress. I was proud to purchase an "American made" product, but in this case I'll be buying from a different company!

We purchased a Park Place Mattress. Understand this was the least expensive mattress at the store. Do I think this bed will last 10 years, no, but it was well worth what we paid for it!

I stumbled on this site trying to find a Park Place dealer to buy another one. My wife and I got a Park Place Carolina from her mom and dad 7 years ago. We were trying to find another one for our daughter at school. When we got ours it was three years old, we haven't had any problems with it, and when it does give out I'm sure we'll buy another one.

I went out and paid 800.00 on a park place that I have had nothing but problems with. After sleeping on it for 3 weeks I headed back to the store who refussed to do anything to make this problem go away...I try back two more times and now I have lost the sales slip and the store again told me nothing can be done with out it. SO I was stuck with a bad mattress. Now I find 6 months later the metal is starting to poke thru but now that I am moving into a new house I find in packing the sales slip for the mattress. SO I go to the store and is told sometime soon I will be called and soon after that someone will come look at it and see if its cover...I just found myself in the need of a nother mattress for the guest room in the new house and the first thing I said to the sales clerk in the other stores I just visited SHOW ME ANYTHING BUT PARK PLACE...this mattress is not good to sleep on and its falling apart. I would love to see what shape its in when its 5 yrs. old. and as for calling them then never answer the phone...I have called them countless time all different times no one answers.

Park Place is a company that constantly blames everyone else for their poor workmanship. They are notorious for substituting materials in beds in order to cheapen them. The attitude by their representative in the reported story is right in line with our interaction with this company.

I have a Park Place and I have problems with mine. I have not call anyone but our local dealer. Our matress has a lump! right up the middle. At first this bed was the best ever, then about 2 months of sleeping on it, where we sleep sunk in (BADLY) I was told that it had to be a 4" hole. Well I am in the process of file a complant with company, but I keep reading bad storys about this. Someone said its could be the support system used. Well I got the Matress and box spring that matched. So people that don't sleep on my mattress can say it is a crazy complaint.

If Chicago Mattress is involved somehow in this I can see difficulties as I just went through a similar experience. The mattress I bought had been cleaned, refurbished and recovered. It stunk when it arrived at my house. The local retailer here took it immediately back and I got all of my money back including the delivery charge. The local retailer is a very reputable company. Apparently they are planning (in the process) to drop Chicago Mattress because of other complaints/problems.

I cannot comment, don't know, the relationship between Park Place Corporation and Chicago Mattress. I am only commenting since the second poster brought up Chicago Mattress. It was not a pleasant experience. Pay a little more and get a completely new mattress. Even then you have to be careful as some outfits are recovering old mattresses and selling them as new. I knew the one I was getting was refurbished, but I would never never do that again. Just an FYI.

Yes this makes no sense, seems like a deceptive marketing against the company Park Place Corp. I bought a cool max bed, it does not have coils in it. It a pure memory foam bed. I purchased this bed and was going to leave really good feedback because its the best bed I have slept on.

Its ashame that people would make crazy complaints that seems to be untrue.

S. Charles Gregory, your sentences do not make any sense? What are you trying to accomplish with these comments.? Oh, and Park Place does not manufacture a cool bed with coils? They have a cool therapy bed that is all foam? Is that what you mean? Im sure if you called in and said you had a cool bed with coils bunching up that they would be confused since the bed doesn't have any coils.
