Medical Form Software review: Scam 3

I had evaluated several CMS-1500 paper claim software packages and went with Medical Form Software based on it's ease of use. The one concern I had with some of these software packages was if my printer was compatible with the software package. When I called this company to verify printing issues, the person who answered said if it didn't work, I would get a refund. This company doesn't send you an actual CD to load, but sends you a link to download the software. After several attempts, the software did not work. I found this odd since the trial version worked well. I asked Medical Form Software to send me the actual CD to load the software or to credit my account since I was having problems getting the software to work and they were not finding any resolution to get the software to work. The merchant never got back to me nor responded to my e-mail request regarding credit. I made several attempts to call and all I got was a never ending phone ring. Not even an answering machine. That led me to believe that something was fishy on the other end. I immediately contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge which they were unable to help me with stating the merchant disputed the charge back as "no proof of return was provided." How can I return back a link to the merchant that doesn't even work? I then contacted the Florida Consumer Department and the merchant refused to cooperate. In short, do not make a software purchase over the internet unless you get the physical CD in hand.

I just purchased the CMS-1500 02/12 software and extra disk for multiple users from Medical Form Software. The 1500 downloaded okay and I'm able to enter data. However the data will not print on the red ink forms. I can only print the complete form in black and white. Also, there is no way to enter an electronic signature. The extra disk has not arrived.

The company does not respond to e-mails to their support address or to the phone number on their web site. Another phone number accompanied the credit card charge and Medical Form Software does not answer that number either. Stay away from this company!

My first clue to this "company" was when I dropped an email to them asking if my prior software with them was upgradable or because I had the software, if a discount was possible. After a couple of weeks I heard back to "check the website" (which of course had nothing but the full price listed for the software. Despite the annoyance of the curt reply, I bought it anyway.

After paying for the download (and extra for a disk copy), I installed it and was ready to do my billing, except... Every time I tried to enter data into a field, I would get an error message. If I cancelled it and kept trying, eventually it would let me enter the data. This was very inconvenient (I was using Windows 8.1). I wrote an email to "support" and eventually got instructions on how to change "permissions". I followed the instructions precisely with no change in the problem. I wrote back addressing the continued issue. Someone responded by sending another copy of the program (identical to the original) and I asked if uninstalling and installing it again would erase the Templates and completed forms I had spent so much time entering. When the response was "yes", I indicated my concern and frustration as the program was not working, I was spending an unnecessary amount of time on it, and my fear of erasing all the work I had already accomplished despite the problem. I stated how "fed up" I was and that if their solution did not fix the problem that I would stop billing myself, send my billings to a clearing house and I would expect a refund for the program that was not working as promoted.

The response shocked me: "We are fed up with your threats" was their answer. When I wrote explaining my frustration and asking if they would help me, my pleas remained unanswered!

I tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling the one they sent me. Besides losing all my data, the program still gave my trouble on data entry. I gave the program to a software engineer who discovered a "bug" in their program which caused conflicts with Windows 8.1 and Adobe Reader XI (they use a runtime version). He fixed the code in the program so it would work properly.

However, I never experienced such rude response from any company but I am confident that Karmic forces will balance the universe and these greedy and rude thieves will reach their appropriate fate!

I am experiencing similar issues to the complaint above. I have been repeatedly emailing both support and sales and have not received one reply. I have also tried to call and the phone number rings without any type of answer. It is delaying my ability to do business in a timely manner and wasting a lot of my valuable time trying to get help without spending additional money.
