This evening I ate one of the Marie Callender's Turkey Pot Pies for my supper. I used the MicroWave method (1100 watt LG) with suggested 9 to 10 minute cooking time. The result was the worst pot pie I have ever eaten, and I have enjoyed many of Marie Callender's in the past. To begin with, the "Golden Flaky Crust Made From Scratch" had the consistency of the carton and was burnt with a hardness that resisted cutting with a fork. The ingredients were very unpalatable, carrots tough, meat dried out. This was the result of a 9 minute cook time with "Let Stand" time of 5 minutes. This pie, and one eaten recently were purchased December 2013, and I have (3) more of the same product under refrigeration as I write. With Two (2) failures in less then a month what can I say? Here are the details; [protected] P2 16:27 P45 Best if used by MAY 12 2015. Barcode # [protected] 9.
I purchased the pies at Safeway's in Oak Harbor, Washington and were stored in a cooler chest from time of purchase until I refrigerated them at home approximately 1 hour travel time.

while I am not complaining about from your pot pies, I did get food poisoning from one of your tv dinners that contained chicken, whipped potatoes and corn. it was obvious your chicken was bad! You need to check the condition of your poultry before you package it.

Uh, if you like crust, the so called Marie Callender's pot pie is fine. If you are looking for nutritious contents in the POT Pie, don't bother. It's 90% crust, and gravy and 10% veggie or chicken. My mother and I have both tried them a couple of times, and I'd say, don't waste your money. Unfortunately, We've also tried the Marie Callendar's restaurant in California, and it was the WORST ever! yuk!
