Beautiful photography, but the photographer/owner, Chris Walters is not ethical.
My wedding was in October 2008. I paid for photography, photos were taken, and I have not yet received them. Family members have placed orders that were not fulfilled.
Mr. Walters is not returning phone calls and emails.
I now have found that I am NOT the only bride who has had this problem with him. He is evidently known to be unethical, and the Better Business Bureau rates his businss as "F".
Additionally, he now lurks on blogs and local wedding sites -- posing as another area photographer -- disputing claims of brides like me who have been duped! His postings are obvious as they show an unusual amount of knowledge about the specifics of the deal (dare I call it a contract, as disorganized as he is?).
This has not been a fun "newlywed" experience. My husband and I have no professional wedding photos to show our kids one day. We lost money and we're angry.
Do not use LCA Videomakers, and be sure to discover your photographer's name if you use a MD-based photographer -- it could be LCA/Chris Walters re-inventing himself!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
My sister had her wedding this past May and he has completely disappeared on us as well. We are heartbroken because despite us pleading with him and calling him, texting him, emailing him, Facebook- messaging him (literally we have tried everything) he has disappeared right after her wedding. He won't return our messages. We have even told him we will still work with him if there is a problem we can work together or if he is not done editing the videos and photos we can have another firm do it, but even despite being kind to him, he is has fallen off the face of the earth it seems. We are distraught and tormented by the fact that my sister may never see her wedding photos or have her videos of her wedding. This is a once in a lifetime event and she is left with nothing despite paying thousands of dollars to him. He ran off with our money and is nowhere to be found. If anyone has figured out how to contact him- please tell us!
this guys is now working under georgetownpics llc. he has done the same thing to me and i have to pics or videos of my event. i have even paid him in full and no replies at all. now his corporation is registered under washington DC and no longer maryland.
Yes, he is a con artist and according to the state attorney, who I emailed, he is not breaking any laws. Go figure? I think the 920 lake overlook dr., Bowie, MD 20721 should still be good, I of course tried to serve him about a couple of months ago and it was checked out to be a good address.

Please spread the word, tell anyone you know that has had to deal with Chris Walters.
If you go to the Maryland Case Search website (type in Google) and search for LCA Videomakers, you will see there are current cases against him. I was also advised to contact the Maryland State Attorney's Office for Consumer Protection:

I was told if there are enough complaints about him, (and there should be considering there has been 18 complaints under the Better Business Bureau), the State can bring charges against him.
Chris Walters, Owner of LCA Videomakers, was referred to us by our wedding planner. LCA Videomakers provided the photography and video taped our wedding in October 2008. Chris and his staff did a wonderful job on the day of our wedding. After our wedding day, we did not hear from Chris for 5 months. We tried to contact him using the phone numbers and email that he provided. Regrettably, he did not respond to the phone calls, text messages, certified mail, or emails that we sent regarding the status of both the Fine Art Story Book album and wedding video.
Eventually, Chris contacted us in March 2009 to apologize for his unprofessionalism and stated that he was busy dealing with family issues and clients. He promised that we would have the album and video by April 2009 considering we had already finalized the album layout and approved the final video edits. We received the wedding video, but we did not receive our Fine Art Story Book album. Since March 2009, we have left numerous messages and the sheriff’s office has attempted to “serve” him, but to no avail.
LCA Videomakers was paid in full, on time, and in accordance with our contractual agreement. Consequently, we expected his services to be rendered in a timely and efficient manner. Unfortunately, Chris Walters is a thief and his contract is laughable. Apparently, he does not intend to honor his own contractual agreement.
If anyone knows how to contact him, so that he can be served and brought to justice please post the correct address. Note: the 920 Lake Overlook Dr Bowie, MD [protected] does not appear to be occupied.
I would fully tend to agree with your overall experience with Chris Walters as we received no return calls regarding the completion of our our album agreed upon and paid for in our contract; fortunately for us, we were able to atleast recieve our photos. Much like you those that paid to extend the pictures posted on our site were deceived.
