L.A.U.S.D. review: injustly fired 1

Nardalina Soray Hernandez. I have been a teacher at David Roberti EEC for 17 years. On March 15. 2012 I received a letter saying I would lose my job due to the financial difficulties the district was saving. Later we were told by the union that there were funds until next year, so we would be employed for another year. On June 14, 2012 I went into work and my employee number was not there. My coworker Elsa Garay faced the same problem. So we called HR to see what the issue was. Once I spoke to someone they said that I was not on the rehire list and my last day of work would be June 29, 2012 for not having a course, English 101. My co-worker who has obtained her B.A. was told her transcripts weren't in the system. Prior to this neither my coworker or I received a letter stating any of these would cause us to get fired. I have asked for my job back under the circumstances that I take the course but they don't give me a straight answer instead they give me the run around. During my 12 years at David Roberti both my coworker and I taught kindergarten whom are considered school age children. When teaching school age children teachers have higher pay compared to preschool. At none of these times did they question our capacity or ability and now that they want to save money for themselves I'm considered unqualified. I have made several attempts to get the union to do something for me but it doesn't seem as if they are going to help that is why i have resorted to other alternatives.
