Ivory Brites Scam Artists

I ordered their free trial. I got my product. Which worked ok, but nothing spectacular. Then I got another shipment automatically. I called to cancel my account and send back the product completely un opened or used. They said they would not give me my mney back. That was how their terms worked. What kind of a company will not let you return something if you don't want it. As of now I am fighting. Do not buy anything from these free trials on line, they are all scams! Plus your 14 day trial period starts the day you order it, even though you don't get it for a few days. That is rediculous. How is that part of the trial period if you have not even received the product yet. So I don't have money for groceries for the next 2 weeks because theat $90.00 had to go to crappy teeth whitening. I am so sorry I just wanted to treat myself to something I had never tried before. 5$ trial now cost me almost $100.00. I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old son. Please tell them why mommy can buy them peanut butter and formula this week.

I too have be scammed by Ivory Brites and HWP Healthwellness! These people have to be stopped. They said I checked a box to receive access to a health website...so untrue. $9.99 a month times 8 = $79.92. Ouch! I so wish I had found this out sooner...why didn't I check my bank statement sooner.. Buyer beware!

I ordered a 'free trial' from these people and was only to pay the shipping and handling. They charged my account just shy of ninety dollars and caused my account to go into the negative and caused non sufficient fund charges. I'm out of work so I can not afford this kind of problem. I contacted them and they flatly refused to stand up to their responsibilities for the charges to my bank. This company is a great big scam!

I ordered a "free" trial of Ivory Brites for $4.99. Then a charge of $88.97 appeared on my credit card three times, a charge of $9.99 appeared on my credit card three times. I never accepted the memebership for AxisWellnessPortal.com, I never accepted any products except the "free" trial.

I found the following BBB web sites:

I ordered the IvoryBrites product, returned it within the 15 day trial period, even got the required RMA #, and they are, without my consent, deducting $9.99 per month from my account. I sent e-mails asking for refund and stop accessing my account, with no response. My next move is with legal action. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

When I ordered the trial package I expressed that I did not want to receive ANYTHING except the trial.
This has happened to me too many times.
I found charges on my bank statement that I DID NOT authorize.
PLEASE reemburse my account of all charges except the trial package that I actually ordered.

Thank you,

FYI...
Keep calling the credit card company, everytime you dispute this purchase by law, the card company cannot charge the account, so deduct the charge when paying your bill and Ivory Brites has to pay the credit card company back plus a FINE!
Ivory Brites will try this 2-3 times but will eventually stop when they realize you will continue to dispute
the charges.

My credit card company contacted me regarding unauthorized charges on my credit card. I would like my money refunded & I would like to know where I can return the merchandise that was sent without my permission. I do not wish to participate in this scam at all. I want my money refunded to me ASAP or I will be seeking counsel. Thank you.

Canceled in the 15 day time frame for free trial. Was charged $88.97 even after I canceled. Trying to get my money back. They offered to credit me $39.99, for a compromise. I will not compromise I did not receive anything other than the free trial kit. Ivory Brites SCAM!

Ok, I like ALL of you have been SCAMMED! I have notified my bank (Capitol One) who is TRYING to get the money refunded. Because we MAY have all clicked on "I AGREE" we may all be SCREWED! Anyway, I also reported them to the BBB and here id that web site: http://www.trenton.bbb.org/

I recommend we ALL report this. They are SCAMMING other HARD working people JUST LIKE US right NOW! It will take about 20 minutes or so and you'll need their phone number [protected] handy while you are filing your complaint. I want them to FEEL our rage! SO please do us ALL a favor and take the time to make THEM pay!

I don't feel bad for them, but want to be as honest and upfront as I would want returned to me. I do feel that as of now, I have more than paid for it, but know that the right thing to do since I did cancel...is to return it if I can. If they don't want it back, well that's a different story all together. I just want to sleep at night knowing that no matter how bad they have done me...I did the right thing. Who knows...maybe they will change the way they do future business. Fix what's wrong. Maybe have better customer service. Then when someone like most of us who fails to see the true way the "free trial" is done, instead of being nasty about it and not helping in any way, they will TRY to help out by being respectful. Have a great day all!

Actually I did cancel my debit card the same day I realized the unexpected charges. So as of now, they are not trying or can't anyway. However, I do not want to take something that I do not intend to pay for either. I know in the e mail it states you need to get authorization to return the product. Well, if they won't respond...how can I get it?

My bank is currently in dispute about the charges. Like I said...I did learn from it and just want it to STOP! I do understand that all companies that offer this type of trial may bot be bad. I just won't participate in any more. They don't even give you time to receive the product. Much less time to try it and see if you like it. I'm thankful that I caught it pretty quickly. Thanks for the best wishes! Have a great day.

Update by Charlene VanWinkle

Yes, I do realize that I did things only "half way". I did learn from it and have actually tried several times via phone, e mail & through my bank to cancel. I continue to receive their product. I try to get an address to return the "unopened product" back to them, but have yet to get that. I even have all the e mails printed out with their pretty much "auto reply". SO I think I might actually get my money back in the long run, but have come to terms with not getting it back as well. I just think it's unfortunate that trust is a thing of the past. If we all reflect on how we got in this mess, and take action to NEVER do it again...we'll put all of them out of business.

Update by Charlene VanWinkle
Jun 05, 2009 9:31 am EDT

It is true that we should ALL read the "fine print". I have learned this the hard way. However, they DO scam you. They will not give important information when you call like the TRUE name of the sales person are speaking to. No REAL address to mail the product to & they HAVE continued to TRY to charge a card that I told them had been canceled AND after I told the verbally AND via e mail that I wanted to cancel! They are continueing to TRY to drain me. Only I have been keeping my evidence against them now. I will NEVER order off the internet again unless I KNOW the company!

Ivory Brites Inability to Cancel Order

I ordered Ivory Brites for a free trial offer of $4.99. I never received an e-mail invoice. I only received the slip with the package that stated to cancel within 15 days. Since $4.99 was the only amount on the slip, that is the price that I assumed would be refunded if cancelled. Imagine my surprise to find out that my bank account had been overdrawn, because of a bill from Ivory Brites in the amount of $88.95 . When I called customer service to cancel, I was told that only future orders could be cancelled by phone, and because this was an e-mail order, I had to go to [protected]@IvoryBrites.com to receive a refund. However, I have been unable to access this site to receive a RMA number to cancel. PLEASE HELP!

I ordered the free trial $4.99 for ivory brites, and cancelled within the 15 days, but they are still charging my bank acct. ea. month 88.97. What do I do to get this stopped? Can't reach anyone at ivory brites to get a refund either, and I've already sent the product back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

About one month ago I purchased a test sample of Ivory Brites, $4.99. Used the goop, didn't work on my teeth. A week later got the charge on my MasterCard for $88.97. Called the jerks over the phone then emailed a cancellation (ivorybrites.com/cancel) request...was denied. Threatened them with a dispute on my credit card. Finally after I humbled out and wrote them a letter stating that I would not pursue my dispute on my credit card...they gave me a full credit. What pain!Lesson, never buy a sample that I give my credit card info, because the fine print can be murder!

This is going to the BBB, they give you 15 days to decide if you like the product or not. I didn't receive my product until 10 days after I originally ordered the trial. That gives me 4 days to actually see if this really works. No one can really decide that fast especially when its a time consuming product. Yes, they are slick, their terms and conditions are on another link so it makes it an inconvinience to read up on it. Okay, I have been had, by the way the solution is not truly 22%, and the light is a gimmick. This is the only way to take these people down. They sold a product that is diluted and misrepresented themselves. Beware of www.cathysteeth.com it is a lie.

Recently saw an ad on internet(pop-up) for free trial to preview product. Only had to pay minimal shipping/handling fee to try.

Have not even tried product yet before my checking account was debited $88.97. Did not intend to purchase product until I was sure it worked. This company was not authorized to take this money from my acct. I was not informed of this until I rec'd new product at my place of business today(6/12/09). I am requesting that this money be returned IMMEDIATELY back into my checking account as this was a debit card /not credit and this company has already rec'd MY money! This unethical business practice is inconceiveable and totally UNACCEPTABLE! I WANT MY MONEY BACK AND I WILL GLADLY SEND THIS PRODUCT BACK!

I requested only a sample of the ivory brite product for 4.99 and recieved 1 small syringe of gel.
Ivory brite has made multiple withdrawals from my bank account for several amounts which caused my account to be over drawn. The product is being marketed along with another very simular product belonging to supposedly another company for the same cost for the trial. Both company's state that they are not affiliated with each other. On top of that, the products did not work efficiently as was advertised.

If in fact, this advertising was not misleading / a scam, there would not be so many complaints.
Multiple withdrawls were made for the sample. Ivory brites sales accoc. bragged about how they are winning 95% of their lawsuit cases against them.

Being an older person who has been laid off from work & having to compete with younger people for employment (which is why I tried the prod) and trying to provide for my children, this problem was the last thing that I needed.
I demand a full refund immediateley

I ordered a Free Sample and all I had to do was pay shipping and handling charges. I recieved my free sample almost a week later and never used it. Then upon looking at my debit account because I cound not figure out why I could not pay my bills, I see a charge for $88.97, for some free samples?
I called the phone number listed and I was told that I had 15 days to cancel my order. I was not aware of an order nor did I recieve any paper work saying I had to cancel an order. Also, the lady that I talked to said my shipment had already been shipped. I asked her when it was shipped, she said the 28th of May. I talked to her on the 3rd of June. Still no shippment, she said the bill would be refunded and today, June 8th it still is charged to my account, no refund.

I never made a purchase with this company nor have I received a product from them. I noticed today and payment of $88.97 on my online banking that I did not authorize. I googled the company and found this site full of complaints, from reading the complaints I found to other charges from this company the very 1st one of $4.99 made a month ago in may I didnt notice due to the dollar amount being so small. Than another one this week of $88.97 by ivory brites and another charge of $9.99 by axis wellness portal. I have never authorized payment from this company so I called the 800# inwhich they had no record of me, my home address, or phone #. So I am disputing all charges with my bank and have also filed a complaint with BBB inwhich this company has received an F according to BBB website due to all the complaints and not being able to cancel membership. I am gonna get my money back ...

Unauthorized charge of 88.97 to my credit card. My credit card company called me to see if I was aware of the charge and if I was comfortable with it. No I am not! I was told by my credit card company that the charge was a preauthorization and the 88.97 was not charged to my card yet. I called Ivory Brites right away and was told the charge would be removed from my card and the subscription would be cancelled. I still received a shipment with a light enclosed. I called the company again and was told I had to e-mail them to find out how to return the product and to request the 88.97 be removed from my credit card. I only wanted the sample I orderd and paid for. I am still waiting for a response from Ivory Brites.

I ordered a trial to see if would really work. Then I had a charge of 88.00 taken out of my checking account. This is a fraudulent charge because I have not received any more product from this company. I want my money reimbursed. If I have to go to the Better Business Bureau then I will. I will also go to my bank and see about pressing charges for fraudulent charges being stolen out of my account. I did not authorize any other money to be withdrawn. Someone needs to get hold of this company and put a stop to this.

I too was taken in by these jerks. I did call to cancel the membership, but they didn't have record of it. Imagine that. I was charged the $87.99 which I wasn't expecting and it caused additional charges. When I did receive the new kit it contained 2 syringes of gel - which is only a 20 day supply of gel if used per instructions. I also received the Blue Light - no instructions. I received an email stating I could keep the products and they would credit $39.99 back to me. I opted for this because I'm tired of their run arounds and didn't want to put out any more for return postage and so forth. So, is this a rip off - BIG TIME. Their site advertises 3 Colgate products in addition to the "free trial" offer. I did not receive these either. Have written to the company, but just get the run around. To get through to their customer service, go to the bottom of their web page and click on contact us. This brings up the page you can use for emailing them.

I was told over the phone to cancel my "membership" I had to email "ivorybritessupport.com".
I tried this but there was no such site. I went to the ivorybrites website & at the bottom there is a "contact us" so I went there to cancel. Gave them my name & zip code as they requested when I phoned. I am so upset< I only signed up to try this product also. I now have many bank charges and didn't receive the original thing I requested until you already stole 88.97 from my account. I never even heard of a charge of this price for anything. NOW I am told I have to email this site to receive a credit for a purchase I never even new about. I can't imagine how much money they have stolen and what credit they have established with this type of scam. They should not only be placed out of business but fined for this illegal activity
