Freely Business School / Scam and cheating

Clemen Chiang stated that he had conducted in depth research into options trading and said that it had amounted to a PhD paper being recognized (PhD is actually from a Degree Mill known as Preston). His eventual method is nothing but a gamble on the earnings report of a company using options. Any seasoned trader will tell you that such a method is highly speculative and there can be no predictability. Clemen also failed to mention that the volatility drops after an earnings report and this has a negative impact on the option price.

The only benefit his 'method' has is that it looks fantastic on power point with large price jumps and therefore helps 'sell' his course. After you pass the first day (last day of backing out), it will be filled with 30% actual trading education and the rest being about how great Clemen is. His post course support is lousy and is nothing more than a cheer leading squad. If individuals voice discontent or doubt, he will not hesitate to remove that person from the group forever.

As for his Freely Method web based tool, its option chains were at least 2 weeks behind. This software did not help trading in anyway whatsoever.

Do be warned that Clemen has a way to get individuals to spend more and more and more money on things that are absolutely useless. He promises easily and does not care about actual results and delivery.

    Yes I do agree.

I have personally taken the course. What a price to pay!

Many, like myself, who tried Clement's trading strategies made more losses big time.

My advise - Don't sign up in any of his courses. EVER!

To All Readers, Let Me First Disclaim ! My Posting Is To Caution all Potential "SPECULATORS" Thinking That We are "Investors". IT IS NOT INTENDED TO DEFAME ANYONE - PARTICULARLY THE OPERATOR.

First of All, a PhD candidate needs to undergo stringent processes going through several Academic Research Committee (at least 3 PhD at Professors Level) more than several times for panel approval of proposed Dissertation Research. From there, the Committee would need to review, debate and propose to the Top Academic Committee - usually comprising The University Vice-Chancellor, Pro- Vice Chancellor and other Senior Academics that specializes in the subject matter. In this case - Derivatives Market Specialist.

The better Schools for Options Trading will be those Nearer to Chicago, like Northwestern University where the Options Exchanges are located. Preston is not accredited. Broken the U.S . law and shifted to Southern state.Founded by Pakistan nationals. The operator in Singapore was selling that degree at about S$12k. An Accredited PhD would takes at least 3 years of Full-time research ( eat, sleep and XXX in the Campus).

Next, In Options Trading, those that trade big must have network within the exchange/s. You must have a pulse of the market- at all times! Using electronic tools to receive news may not be sufficient to results in Profitable trades all the time. Sometime, it could even back-fired.There are multiple exchanges located nationwide in the US, only those that invested heavily to receive data on total real-time trading volume from ALL the Exchanges CONSOLIDATED will be able to make more prudent trades. Others only have a tiny picture of what is happening.

Using Stock Screener or filters are more appropriate for investors with a longer term perspectives. Day Traders must be careful. Fundamental Analysis must be performed in-depth for each stock options. It takes at least a couple of years to master the skills .You need to know the business and the intricacy of that industry even if you are a short-term trader. If someone tells you you only need to do the technical; you better run - fast!

It took me many years to learn to invest and I am still learning. Anyone preaching 3 to 5 days of clicking and claim to make almost instant millionaires should be appointed to lead big Banks and GIC and Temasek Holdings, as well as go into the community to help poor-average Joe like me to achieve "freely" status.

Options Trading is a zero-sum game. There are lots of hidden mechanics that only those at Chicago knows. Unless you have the ability to loss, stay far far away. Good Luck and God Bless!
