I wish I had found this site for cottagevacation.com rentals in the Quebec Laurentians before we rented a cottage through this site. Everything that the other posts have said rings true. What an awful waste of a week of vacation and money. The cottage we rented for a high price looked nothing like the online photos. The cottage was dirty. Hair balls and filth on the floors and in the kitchen. The bathroom was growing mold. I didn't sit on the couch once because the furniture was soiled and looked like the owners of the cottage had dragged it in from the dump. The sliding back door was broken. The stairs to the yard were dangerously angled. The tap dripped all night. Our car bottomed out on the decaying driveway and when we complained we were told we were making it up. There was no CO2 detector or smoke detector in the cottage when we arrived and complained about this. There was one paddle provided for the canoe and nothing for a second person. The door to one of the bedrooms didn't close. The shower opened onto a window facing the neighbour's window--and there was no curtain! This cottage was awful and we left a week early. Stay away.

I with my wife and two children rented a cottage from cottagevacation.com. They told that we shouldn’t worry about the children as everything is safe. It was the worst vacations in my life! Every second we spend looking after kids, as the cottage was absolutely unkempt!
