The City of Sweetwater Florida is a small rundown and very corrupt municipality located in Miami Florida and its main street is West Flagler Street and 107th Avenue.
Recently, they've installed photo cameras there for the purpose of taking advantage of anyone who has to go past a red light. Needless to say, the victims of these "photo-based citations" get a citation in the mail. Avoid going through the intersection of West Flagler St and 107 Ave and try to steer clear of the City of Sweetwater Florida if you can. The City of Sweetwater Florida "court" is a 12 x 20 foot hot and stuffy room that's overcrowded with over 30 victims of their police and photo-issued tickets at any given time. That "court" is located on the 3rd floor (top floor) at their "city hall", which is just another rundown 1970s all-in-one city hall/court/police station located at the address of 500 SW 109 Avenue.
Also, the City of Sweetwater Florida police station themselves at any street with their lights on and lie in wait for anyone who's ignorant of the "move over" law, and give them a ticket should they drive past them without having moved 1 lane over or slowed down at least 20 mph below the posted speed limit.
The City of Sweetwater Florida police department is uncaring and unforgiving, so don't expect to be giving a 2nd chance by any of them. They are just there for 2 reasons and 2 reasons only: To rake in money for their run down municipality and department via the citations they issue, and to meet their citation quotas of course.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I agreed on following the law-including no killing anyone, respect of others when respect is given, following the rules of been honest enough with myself and accept when mistakes are done, period! "The clown" as you refer is absolutely right about the corruption and not just the humble little city of Sweetwater! Cops are here to serve and protect-the problem with this is the uniform, some of them think like they are above the law simple because of the uniform. Everyone in here had never "receive a ticket"?... simple put perhaps because you dont drive much or your husband/family member is a cop or a friend of one, so probably your tickets had been taken out the system! Be real people, the majority of you who claimed that has never done anything, perhaps are the ones that are corrupt but never had been caught! The clown is absolutely right! Cops, sadly the majority are corrupt, they have access to anything and everything... see the news, more and more cops and yes they do LIE for their own benefit! If you think you are an ANGEL who has never DONE anything, please my suggestion is to go to HAVEN. To think and be unreal that COPS are all good...please! Every city, district, small town has their own corruption!
Are you serious? Who is this clown? Don't speed, don't run red lights, and you need to follow the "move over law". Simple. The police are not babysitters. You break the law, you pay the consequences. It doesn't matter what city you're in... If you don't like their courtroom, stay out of it by obeying the law. Sweetwater is a humble little city. The police should take traffic offenders seriously. Sounds like you're one. Sweetwater is better off without you in it anyway.
