My daughter had a first ever hair appointment there to get her roots colored blonde. Her appointment was made the previous day with Mindy. While consulting with my daughter and the "Manager" standing there my daughter advised that she would like a little more dark underneath her hair. She had all over blonde and some brown just on bottom row of hair in the back. Well, according to my daughter - Mindy did not listen to what she said she wanted and kept making new suggestions... starting with getting more dark thru her hair (now mind you it has taken roughly 8-9 appointments & a ton of money (in a "real salon") to get her hair the color blonde she had it without damaging it! At this point Mindy (the so called stylist) suggested my daughter not only get the dark all the way up to the back of her head - but to also get it on the sides of her head... from her ears halfway up her head... my daughter had no idea what to say... First, why would Mindy suggest something new over and over again knowing damb well that is NOT what she WANTED!! To experiment? She took my daughters beautiful blonde hair to a brassy blonde on top and from the crown of her hair all the way down to her neck (BLACK) including her sides (the hair that framed her face)! Let me tell you this is the WORST hair coloring job I have ever seen in my life!! I called to speak to the so called manager - she told me it couldn’t be corrected because they do NOT do any stripping of the hair in that salon but to call and speak to Mindy, I called two times 8/26/10 before reaching Mindy on the phone - at this point I had contacted an acquaintance who worked at JC Penney Salon and she agreed to TRY to correct some of the damage done to my daughters hair! In this long process of getting my daughters hair to the color we wanted it - her hair was never so dry and never had breakage before!! Because she went to "real hair salons". I get Mindy on the phone today FINALLY - and told her that my daughter was getting her hair corrected at JC Penney and that I would like either 1/2 back what she paid or free conditioning treatments so that her hair is able to get back to normal! She refused to speak to me - said NO, and do what you want - "IF you need to go over my head-then go ahead" "I don’t care"

NO sympathy - NO admitting to any wrong doing. She actually said she thought my daughters hair LOOKED NICE? That is hilarious!!

This so called hair stylist charged her OVER $100 to "color" her hair... this place is a joke and the ghetto response I got while speaking to Mindy was just as bad!

These people are very unprofessional in my opinion they take no responsibility and they are extremely pushy! She never even consulted my daughter regarding the price!

i will never go to borics again they don't care about there customers they made me feel like i was the wrong one not the girl that missed my roots but died the rest of my head BRASSY BLONDE the worst no call back just plain rude . i guess i will take my 100 dollar bills elsewhere
