Bertuccis / Employment Discrimination

I worked at this hell hole for about six months and ended up leaving because of the discrimination towards newer employees, the open drug use of employees, the discrimination towards LEGAL immigrants working there, and the fact they they not only refuse to give breaks (which is agianst Massachusetts state law), but will do anything to save money, and that includes reducing the pay of veteran cooks that have been there for years so they will quite and be replaced by lesser paid employees. This also makes them un-eligable for any state un-employment benefits.

    I worked at the Bertucci's in Westbury, NY and with your comment I now know that they are all racist pigs that work there! I was fired because a manager lied and said I threatened him. He in turn called corporate that night with the fabrication and without me being allowed to defend myself and telling him that he's lieing they just let me go. The GM of Westbury Carol Woodiwiss who is openly racist and tells racist jokes coupled with constant racist comments said as a Manager she HAS to have his side because he is also a manager. That's BS beacause in that case what did you hire me for if your not going to have my back in sticky situations! I sincerely hate Bertucci's and what they stand for! There food isn't fresh and they hire incompetent people who either can't do simple things or are easy to control.

    Springfield bertucci's its the worse place to work they treat you like dirt no respect no motivation to people, managers insensitive they only care about them, and on top of that people there are intimidate, they cant say anything please people if you love your liberty don't work there, , ,

    “Horrible Service and Health Hazard!!!”

    Pending review My family and I recently went to Bertucci's around 8:35 or so. They close at 9:30 and it seemed they weren't very happy to see us. Let me give you a scenario...
    The place had maybe two to three parties seated, all other tables were emptied and tables were cleaned with silverware, napkins, etc.. Ironically enough he stated our table will be ready shortly, all I need to do is clean it off(only 20 other tables avail.). When he returned, he said our table is ready but he could not find any knifes. When we were seated the table right beside us had knifes. After getting seated, bread and olive oil with hair in it was delivered and so were the dirty, wet(not damp) and greasy plates were also given. We told the waiter and he said, "oh, yeah, they are wet" He soon returned with the same dirty plates...but wait, they weren't wet anymore because I saw him wipe the same dirty/wet plates with a rag and return them to us. We didn't use the plates and but ate bread directly over the table. ...It gets better. We requested a Margarita pizza with shrimp...he said we do not sell that pizza with shrimp any longer (we had that same pizza 1 month ago) due to new management four months ago. BUT he was going to try to see if they could accommodate us due to the manager, who changed the menu wasn't around. He returned and stated "we can add the shrimp but it will be different from the shrimp before and will taste different"(of course I declined). Here is the final straw...with me facing the kitchen as our pizza was ready, I saw him sprinkle something on it with his bare hands...I think it was cheese..not sure. Unfortunately, those hands were cleaning off another table two seconds prior of getting our food.

    Can someone please fill me in on what the heck is happening to customer service today. Is it that they aren't trained? Are owners not doing their due diligence of hiring competent workers? One thing I do know...I will be contacting the Board of Health on this establishment.
