*Warning long post*
Just wanted to post here so other people with pups don't run into the same problem we did. Ace's Tall Pines Boarding and Breaders out of Utterson. We contacted this facility after the website stated that many local businesses recommended it and had great tripadvisor reviews posted on the site. He insisted on signing a contract and waiver before going up to the house because he had aggressive dogs on the property. After signing and handing over 420$ (our cost to stay this night and deposit on her 2 week stay at the end of August) he allowed the dog to come out of the car and walk up to the house. He refused to let me see the facilities. At this point decided she was not staying here. The facilities were not as advertised on their website. There are not private outdoor runs. He claimed dogs get their own private runs but there were runs with more than one dog in them. He refused to refund any of the money and told me to get off his property. The recommendations posted on his site are false ( I called the businesses listed to inquire) and he is not associated with trip advisor. We are now out money but also stuck without a boarder for our trip at the end of the month. Wanted to give others a heads up about this facility so you do not end up getting duped like we did.

Hey Phil, I am one of the posters you speak about and I find your your story quick laughable. My dog is a very quiet dog. She does not bark. She has never growled or barked at anyone. She is a very kind sweet dog. You never allowed anyone to view these pristine cages that you say exist. It is actually odd as you have no pictures of your facilities on your website. Your website does not even provide the address of your kennels. The police were called by us as you are a scam artist. They advised they could not force you to return the money as it was a civil matter. We were only boarding for one evening with you to test it out with our dog before leaving her there for 2 weeks in the fall. You did not refund the money, your website had fake trip adviser reviews and you cited that a number of local businesses recommended you. All of this was false and you had since taken down the original website and started a new one. Very odd behavior for someone who is the victim here as you would have people believe. This did not take 4 hours and we were unable to attend a wedding because of all this.

I'am sole operator of this business for over 25 yrs. I have great fortune to handle train all types of dogs especially behavioral issue dogs from family pets to some of the top show dogs from all over the world. But in all these years only recently at least a couple of very negative posts from the same person Megan Higgins and CM have been posted. I found out from a client that this google gives more points for more posts. Google allows any type of posts positive or negative, fact, fiction or ones that have the most negative impact on a business and a liability issue for the posters the hide behind the internet. It is up to the business to try to ask this venue remove them . All google wants is to compile more info on individuals filing a complaint. These posters have used wording that most negatively impact the individual and business as people view them. What does google care if it negatively impact the business. So whatever positive that has been done over the numerous years of this business does not matter. All it takes is a few negative words or lies as the posts to ruin it. Here is a side that is not spun as the poster has done. At least a couple of months prior to date of boarding this person called and left a message which was returned later in the afternoon when I arrived back to the kennel. Only a message could be left and a call was made back to me but I was not available. The call was returned the next morning and the person only returned that call about three weeks after. This shows priority the dog was with everyday other events. When we spoke I ask the usual questions that a facility asks. But I always ask if the dog has any behavioral issues which the reply was no! I always like to know how easy or not so easy it would be for me to manage individual pets. The person booked for about 2.5 weeks. I made it very clear that I only meet clients at a scheduled appointment time because I do from basis training to behavioral modification off site and more or less am in and out constantly. Also after drop off appointment I would be leaving right away for the next appointment. I also gave her a total cost to board the dog which had to be paid at drop off. I had arrived within a couple of minutes to the drop off scheduled appointment at which point this one person arrived with the dog. The window was open and the dog was barking out the window. The person took the dog out of the car in this state of mind as the dog pulled to the end of the leash lunging, growling and barking at me. I suggested to the person to give slack to the leash which they did and the dog settled.I asked if I could take the leash and dog which the owner allowed . I handed a contract to them which the person read and signed that included the non refundable portion. Only then did they hand me all items being left with the dog and only after that part of the funds. Then the person got in their car and drove away. I took the dog for a few minute walk put the dog in a pen and gave it water put all its items away. I then went to get in my car to leave for my next appointment.A car pulled into my driveway and blocked my leaving. I got out of the car and asked what was going on and this same person that had left maybe 10 plus minutes ago wanted their dog. Which I obliged right away but they went for around 30 seconds towards a few absolutely clean pens with 5 clean sleeping dogs startled the dogs which barked. I always try to keep the facility as clean as possible. I have a huge problem going to clients with one dog or more and there is dirt everywhere.Notice on her post how she describes it all. I went back to my driveway with this person but they would not leave no matter what. They blocked my driveway so I could not leave to make it to my next appointment. This person did not say on their post that I called the OPP.The OPP told her she broke the law and was trespassing. This ordeal took about four hrs including her with the OPP with my appointments being lost also balance for holding space lost. Need her info for legal action. Thanks Phil Owner and Operator
