I just read other people complaints about the 1 on 1 resumes.com and I totally agree with them. I purchased my resume and cover letter in Dec 2010. Two months went by I didn’t hear anything back. So I wrote to the writer, Gabrielle. She said I needed to provide additional information on my new job. On March 02, she said she has everything she needed and she promised to send me the resume asap. However, I still haven’t received anything (March 21) now. So I wrote to the writer again and the [protected]@1-on-1-resumes.com to see what the status is. Heather R. Todd from customer service (from 1-on 1 resumes.com) wrote back to me with very unprofessional, nasty e mail. Not only they didn’t refund the fees, they took my money for resume and the cover letter in Dec, but also she insulted me in the e mail. I regretted for using their site.

Please beaware of them, use other sites instead.

I just used 1 on 1 Resume service and couldn't be happier. First of all, after seeing some of these complaints, I took advantage of the offer to call Andrew Greenstein. Mr. Greenstein took the time to answer all my questions and seemed like an honest person, so I ordered a resume - there is nothing worse than trying to write about yourself, IMO.
After ordering the resume on a Thursday, I received the finished product back on Saturday. After noting a few minor errors - most of which were my own fault, I submitted for changes and the resume was revised at no charge and returned to me within two business days. I also chatted with a company rep and they were polite and efficient.
Could I have spent more? Oh yeah. Did I need to spend more? I don't think so - the resume I received was professional looking and more than adequate at describing my skills and work history.

As president & founder of 1-On-1-Resumes.Com, I assure you that we do EXCELLENT work and I deeply regret the dissatisfaction of those few posting here. I welcome each of you to call or text me on my personal cell at [protected] and I will gladly and immediately refund your payments. We service nearly 10, 000 clients per year and more than 99% report being extremely satisfied. Even SmithAc2502 (one of the complainants on this board) states "I did have a resume done by them years ago.."--and he came back for another--indicating it must've been quite good. Some other points:

*Gabrielle no longer works with us. In attempting to increase our client satisfaction rate from 99% (and change) to 100%, we let her go over a year ago. We will continue to let go any staff member who does not meet our high quality standards.

*It is not true that the government has done away with KSAs

*I mean this with the utmost respect: All of our resumes are created by professional writers and carefully reviewed/proofread prior to release. "DocAce" has complained of typos & errors yet his own posting is filled with typos & errors. I understand that it is OUR job--not anyone else's--to write flawlessly and to impress our clients...but-- from experience, I can't help but think that what DocAce is seeing as typos...may actually not be typos at all. I would ask him to please post the resume he received from us [name & addresses withheld, of course...]...That way, the world can see exactly what we're talking about and form their own opinions based on an actual resume...

*DocAce is absolutely incorrect about us "farming out work to overseas writers"-- We have *NEVER* done this; All staff are full-time and dedicated professionals in the U.S.A. [and 2 from Canada] who speak & write perfect English.

*We have completely revamped our telephone-based customer service and believe you will find it much more impressive, thorough, and friendly than described.

*Our mail ticketing system is thorough and works flawlessly. All clients are assigned a ticket # and their information is handled from there. When a client fills out a ticket, all information can be access by our customer service reps & writing staff at all levels--Ensuring smooth handling. If a client were to try to sidestep this--and ignore our instructions -- then yes, it is possible to experience a delayed response or some confusion. Similar systems exist for all major online companies and I am proud of how quickly and thoroughly we handle our email tickets!

This service is the WORST. It should be entitled RIPOFFRESUME. First of all, the resume they supplied me with sound as if a third grader had written it. Secondly, they were not too responsive to my changes and additions to the poorly written document. Lastly, I was not asked for an interview once, from an agency, online, in person or other wise in the amount of time they "guaranteed" I would be. When I asked for a re-write or better yet, my hard-earned money back, I was told "too late!". It was a day beyond the guarantee! IMAGINE THAT! I copy and pasted EVERYTHING from their internal message system. Including a rude customer service rep admitting in the message, their guarantee was "deceptive". I was refunded by my credit card company. Thankfully! I wish everyone good luck in trying the same route. Stay away from this DREADFUL unprofessional and rip off company. They should be ashamed of themselves taking people's money who are trying to better themselves. RIDICULOUS!

Awful... Stay away! I also had Gabrielle tell me she had "finished my superior resume and just had to go through a final check." She said I would have it by the next day at the latest. Of course the day came and went... Today I cancelled the order and demanded a refund. I also received a snotty email from someone namesless totally insulting my intelligence with the following statement: "The order was on hold awaiting your response to questions/clarifications we had requested and which were not responded to. " What kind of english writing was that? Maybe I was lucky I got out! Seriously, do they think I am dumb enough not to check the ridiculous "ticket system" prior to demanding a refund? Wouldn't the so called author Gabrielle have mentioned that in the last email about it being complete? I did have a resume done by them years ago, it was okay, but this experience was ridiculous...total scam, stay clear! Good luck!

HORRIBLE- HORRIBLE - HORRIBLE

If you are a Veteran like my AND need a federal resume STAY AWAY FROM this service they have no idea what they are doing AND they do not stand behind their work whatsoever.

However they do have fast talking reps that place the blame on you for the poor resumes they farm out. If I paid YOU to write my resume how can I be blamed for the poor quality? They said I caused this by not giving them my present job description. I am UNEMPLOYED and I have no present job description.

When one tries to use the warranty they find reasons to not fix their sub par work by blaming YOU the customer for their incompetence.

MILITARY STAY AWAY, FORMER FEDERAL EMPLOYEES STAY AWAY, CIVILIANS STAY AWAY.

PROS: The little animated dude on their website was cool and that is about it.

CONS: Took well over seven days to get the work they advertise 3 days max.
Spelling errors
Smart ### customer service rep.
Phony warranty
Content and key words were lacking.
They keep referring to KSA's when making counter claims about their poor work. The Government stopped using KSA's while ago, HELLO!
Farm resume orders out to overseas writers
Not Certified
BBB Revoked their affiliation because of poor business practices.
