Based on my experience at Club Paddock in American Fork Utah these are the things I have observed, felt, and concluded about this social membership club.
The majority of the members at Club Paddock are guys who are 35 or younger. Most make an income of between $90k-$300k per year and have joined this club looking to level up and network for business. I'd say 60% of the club is this demographic, most do not own super cars. Mots of these young guys are looking to network and grow their business, so selling happens alot at club paddock events. Young guys telling you about their business and wanting you to be a client. It can be exhausting if you're a high net worth individual.
20% of the club are corporate sponsors / members who buy a membership so they can hold events at club paddock and invite their members to these events and pitch them.
Events like:
Parker Mcumber 3 day event to become your life coach.
Private Jet company hosts a dinner, invites paddock members and pitches you the opportunity to invest in there private jet company
Financial Services... They will hold a lunch, invite paddock members and then solicit you to be a new client, investing in mutual funds etc.
There is usually an event per month where the corporate sponsors pitch paddock members something.
10 % of its members are LAMBROS. Guys who rent a townhouse or own a condo, but have a Lamborghini huracan or McLaren 570. This younger LAMBRO crowd are friends with the owners son. So they get special rates, special treatment and often times dont have to pay for events or a membership. They are definitely the most annoying.
The last 10% of members are those who have a JV partnership with paddock and don't actually pay for the membership. For example Fastlane Drive doesn't pay to be a member. Catering companies who do the food at a discount, dont pay for a membership. Dylan Blake Suits doesn't pay for a membership he gives the owner and his son free suits. There are about 12-15 non paying members at every event. Just look for the guys who help out alot during an event or post on social after every paddock event, thats free member.
It's really not a great place to meet 8 and 9 figure guys to do big deals with. In my opinion you will likely meet guys pretending to be big time, that will be asking you to invest with them. There's one finical services guy who is at every event pitching for money. There another asking people to invest in his drug rehab fund. Another guy who sells pieces of an LLC for online marketing service contracts. Even the owner of club paddock asks members to invest into paddock 100k at a time.
If you love being pitched high risk investments and networking with 6 figure guys who have big ideas, then paddock will serve you a buffet of just that.
Honest Opinion and ranking of Utahs Car Clubs
1. Club Paddock- Pros = Nice Venue, decent events, decent people
CONS = Expensive, Constantly being pitched investment deals, AF location.
2. The Wharehouse = Pros = Best most unique car collection in Utah. 8-9 figure members / Even billionaires / Networking is unmatched. Nicest facility /club in Utah
CONS = Its in Park City so its far away, Expensive , and if your not a real legit business player you won't fit in well here. It's not meant for the LAMBROS crowd, they won't have it.
3. Automotive Addiction = PROS = The owner is the best & most personable out of all clubs. Best drives in the summer for car enthusiasts . Cheap much less than other clubs. Race Track Access
CONS= Not the best events for social or business networking
4. FastLane Drive = PROS= Definitely a High end brand and Feel. More weekly drives and car meet ups than any group. Lots of VIP, Sundance, Special clubs, VIP = FastLane
CONS = No clubhouse or event center to hang out at. You pay for membership and you pay for every event you attend.
In Summary Club Paddock is not worth the $10k-$15k membership it offers. Within 3-6 months most members grow tired of the same style events, are frustrated with all the members who are there to pitch and fleece money from members. And the member turn over is high. usually only 6 months, so establishing a community feel is not likely.
The only ones benefiting from a membership at Club Paddock are the guys pitching & raising money its members & the owners of club paddock who get free stuff, trade or kick backs on deals that happen at paddock.
