Please be cautious when purchasing kitten from Karen Suesz Classykatz Cattery Michigan. I paid for my kitten and she tried to keep my money and put my kitten back up for sale. At first Karen seemed genuinely nice and answered all my questions and concerns. We emailed often until i made the transaction. The night before he was suppose to be shipped, Karen emailed that she couldn't ship on the day we made arrangements. My husband had already taken off work for that day (airport is 3hr drive). Then Karen emails if i can't pick him up at the airport on certain day of her choice that paypal doesn't cover live animals and i will not get a refund and she would place my kitten back up for purchase. So basically she is scamming me! She wanted to keep my money and sale my kitten. What she didn't know was i purchased through paypal using my credit card. Credit card will protect and recover your money on live animals (paypal will not cover your money on live animals). I brought this to her attention. So in the end i got my kitten ( with ringworms) luckily i used my credit card through paypal or i would have lost my money and had no kitten. I wouldn't recommend purchasing any kitten from Karen Suesz Classykatz Cattery Eaton Rapids, Michigan from my own experience. Please be cautious when purchasing any pet online. Never purchase from breeder whe doesn't accept paypal. ALWAYS use your credit card through paypal to purchase (not paypal balance or checking acct.) You will not recover your funds when purchasing live animal if your scammed.

I don't know anything about classykatz cattery. I do know that the person who started this complaint board, Melisha Mundy is a known scammer. She has scammed countless individuals for numerous years... That would be why she's so knowledgeable about the ins and outs of it all. Be warned.

Karen has refused to give me a refund, I tried to still work something out to get a cat from her to avoid loosing my money and now she is also refusing the delivery that SHE promised. She also refuses to meet me halfway. She said she had a driver friend would frequently comes through my area and it would be no problem for him to deliver the cat and she was only charging me 50 for delivery. Now she claims she never said that, but I know im certainly not delusional! She has also threatened me not to complain about our fall out online, saying if I post any complaints, that's a 2 way street... Obviously her biggest concern is how much money she is making and she is more than happy to keep my money and resell the cat, when a happy customer and the cats themselves should be more important than money! I do NOT recommend buying from Karen Suesz, but if you do, DO NOT send her a payment because if there is a problem she will NOT refund your money and shell will resell your cat! ONLY give her payment in person at the time you pick up the cat.

I would also like to add to my above comment that if she rectifies this situation with a refund as she should, I will post letting it be know that she did the right thing to settle this issue.

I was buying a tortoiseshell Persian from Karen Suesz who is now calling her cattery lovenlearn kittys and has also gone by Classycatz. I paid her $300.00 towards the price and the rest was due upon delivery, she offered to deliver the cat to me in southern Indiana where I live for just $50.00 extra because she said she knows someone with a driving job who comes through this area frequently. I also got a hospital excuse from her for delays concerning the cat I am buying. Once I realized the ad for the cat I was buying was pretty old, I asked for an updated photo. A photo, that's a simple enough thing, right? She told me she would get me a new photo shortly. Well I never got it. A couple days later I kindly asked again, I was told she took photos for me but was at her kids game and I would get the photo when she got home. I waited, no photo came. The next day, still no photo. When I asked again she said, sorry, she was just busy but would get it sent the next day. So I waited, and still no photo! I waited another couple of days and asked again...and got no reply(over text), so I sent an email, and got no reply to it either. Yet I know she was online because the ads for her other cats had been updated and she created a new website, so she couldn't have been too busy to take 5 minutes from her day and either send a photo via text or email. When I told her I was possibly going to contact my card holder for a refund, she finally replied and said she was in the hospital and wasn't getting good phone reception. When I started asking her about possibly buying a second cat from her as well, she had no trouble texting me back several times. She said we can meet for the delivery of my cat, but now she wants me to drive 3 or more hours north, instead of her original offer to deliver the cat to me in southern Indiana. During that conversation she said she was well now and being released that day and promised she would send my photo that night, or FIRST thing in the morning. Well, that was a few days ago and I still got no photo. I emailed her again and told her how upset I was and that I was beginning to wonder if something was wrong with the cat, or if she even had the cat. I told her, I don't feel like I can trust her now because, although it was just a photo I was asking for, it was HER WORD that was becoming the problem. I am her customer and she is putting me off again and again, I said in my letter, that I was also not happy about her offering to deliver to my area and then turn around and want me to drive 3 hours. I told her I am now afraid to even make the drive after her ignoring me, and all of her broken promises(strange behavior if you ask me) how can I even believe she would be there at the meeting place? I told her I felt I should be entitled to some sort of compensation for the worries and stress she was putting me through. No big surprise, I got no reply to that email. At this point, I would just like my money back. I no longer trust her and I am afraid that even if I got my cat, I would have trouble getting my breeding pin from her at a later time as she told me I could do. I am a small scale breeder myself, and I have NEVER treated a customer the way I was treated, I would never dream of it! I also have my own problems and a busy life, but when my customers contact me, I respond promptly and I never ignore them. If there is a problem, I go out of my way to correct it. I have all of my unanswered emails I sent to her as well as the text conversation on my phone for anyone wanting to see it.

I know for a fact that the 2 cat breeders listed DO use and HAVE cats with ringworm. They took some horrible cats in deplorable condition just because they were free. Calming they would put the effort into them. These cats were terrible..I have done rescue over 25 years and I know a feral animal when i see one. They were unkempt and spewing mudd and not at all litter trained. Breeder assist or purebred rescue would not get involved so I wanted to put them down...it would take too much money to test for everything under the sun and these were cats you could not handle. To me they were not adoptable. Sandy from Jason's cattery and Kathy and Karen took all the cats from a women's trailer who died of cancer...but she was always a hoarder. I could tell by her house..butcher paper taped to the floor and changed once a week she told me..And she also told me most if not all of her cats were PKD positive. All had out dated or non existent papers she had things in a loose leaf binder. All 3 of theses people thought they were ok to use these sick cats in breeding. One was blind from infection in one eye and spewed pus from her rectum. When i saw that i had had enough...CFA told me i could not put them down but could keep them (and shut up about them) or take them back. I felt like the biggest heel but i took them back...I had my own household to worry about. I have had several confrontations with these women. I still go by RESCUE CATS in poor condition should never be used in breeding...simple as that. The people who buy a kitten go under the assumption they are well and not a walking vet bill. They dump lots of cats at times also when they dont sell. They give ethical breeders a bad name.

To all reading this...this is not true. First of all, Melisha was upset because I could not send her cat out the day that she wanted him shipped. I let her know that it was not possible, my son had to go to the hospital that am with an asthma issue. I tried numerous times to set up another time and date with her but she would not agree to anything. I then even offered to bring her the kitten, from michigan to alabama during the week of chrsitmas. We have a strict no refund policy. There was no reason she couldnt have her kitten except for the issue of it not being exactly on the day she wanted. Her kitten would have been shipped out weeks earlier but it took her over a month to get me her payment. It was unfortunate it was so close to the holidays but as I said i offered to bring the kitten to her so she could have a merry christmas with her new family member. After numerous conversations she finally agreed and her kitten was sent to her. The kitten was checked by both her vet and mine and was found to be healthy and free of any diseases. For those who need it, I still have her emails addressing this entire issue and would love to share. I am not sure why she is so venemous but she has be determined to ruin our catteries reputation. We are seeking legal action regarding her slander. We have been breeding for over 10 years with no complaints. It is sad that one person with a mean streak can cause so much havock on so many people lives. I hope she doesnt do this to any one else. As a breeder I am now much more cautious who I sell my kittens too.
