Paul S Ciarcia, Michael J Molnar & Arnas Jelizarouvas "AJ" of Choice Motor Group / Choice Motor Car in Plainville, CT. I purchased a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport on 10/17/18; for a total of $9984 Sight Unseen. A $515 deposit was made on 10/16/18 to hold the vehicle & the vehicle was delivered on 10/24/18. The Jeep was described verbally and in writing as: "One Owner (NOT TRUE - most recent owner purchased the vehicle in 2016), Mint & Soooo clean. Not neglected, very well maintained. Needs nothing. Everything works perfectly. Body is extremely clean with NO rot and no damage." I was in search of a 2001 Jeep Sport with low miles and excellent condition, which was what was described on the dealerships website, was verbally told by Paul S Ciarcia and appeared to be true of this vehicle. Upon receiving the Jeep; this was anything but the truth! Rust inside and out (dealership spray painted inside and out to cover up the rust for pictures). No brakes (corroded brake line actually exploded, which could have killed my children & wife if they got into the Jeep as planned later that morning). Had vehicle towed to local service station ($75 fee) and they examined the Jeep; determining that they were unable to fix vehicle and would need to be brought to Jeep dealership due to the brake line assembly leaking, rusted lines required metal being bent and molded. Also noted: "Rusty, Rusty, Rusty. If brake line is fixed other issues can arise & other lines could break with new pressure. Vehicle unsafe to drive, will not pass inspection due to corrosion and rust, towing required." Master mechanic unsure if vehicle is fixable due to the enormous amount of rust, decay and overall poor condition of vehicle. Drive shaft decayed, oil pan decayed & rusted through, gas tank decayed & leaking, brake calipers decayed, emergency brake decayed, door hinges completely rusted out, & under carpet rust floor boards; presenting itself as a flood/chopped vehicle. Numerous rusted bolt heads cut off with a grinder and sharp heads left inside the vehicle. New lugs & bolts recently placed inside to hold pieces of the seats and doors together. Two holes in the roof; one plugged and one covered with duct tape. The Jeep was spray painted inside and out (door jambs, wheels, & rocker panels all painted to hide the rust) and for internet photos. According to the mechanic, this Jeep most likely was a salvaged vehicle or pieces of several vehicles. I paid a total of $9984 for the Jeep. $515 a down payment and $9469 for the vehicle, fees, and $400 in shipping (which Paul agreed to split with me and charged to me. Auto 123 Transport delivered the vehicle on 10/24/18 said the delivery was COD. I immediately contacted Paul Ciarcia and he stated that there was some type of error and he paid for the shipping fee (untrue) and would handle it when he got to the office. I was told the shipping was $800, which we agreed to split, however the fee was $650 (Overcharged $150 and kept the money). In the meantime, Auto 123 Transport has not received any money from Choice Motor Group. They stole $400 from my money, which in itself is larceny and the balance is still owed to the transport company. Interestingly, once the Jeep was shipped; the dealership immediately removed the listing from their website: choicemotorct.com (even though other vehicles they sold are still posted). Like this vehicle never existed; luckily I have a print out from the listing. I then contacted Paul Ciarcia immediately regarding the condition of the Jeep and he said: "what did you expect buying a car that was 17 years old and that he would not take the vehicle back for a full refund.
