The worst thing that could happen to me was trusting Chef Gio Enterprises to do our wedding in April of 2020. Beginning the pandemic, I sent an email to the chef from Honduras, where my husband and I were living at the time, that we were not going to be able to celebrate the wedding that we had hired him to cater. We paid a total of $5,245.00 almost 8 months before the set date of the wedding. (September 9, 2019, paid total), and the wedding date was on April 9, 2020.

The money was paid to secure the date, which he asked for according to contract, before we could save that date as our official wedding date.

There was absolutely no possible way that he had spent OUR money in OUR FOOD/BEVERAGES/ALCOHOL, as agreed upon contract. I contacted him in February and then in March telling him that upon the worldwide pandemic there was no way we could fly to Miami to celebrate our wedding. Regardless, Florida had banned celebrations or gatherings for more than 50 people, and I believe at the time all celebrations were banned because of COVID-19.

He completely disregarded COVID-19 restrictions by saying that the contract only covered ''hurricanes''... can you believe that? Literally nobody was able to fly in or out of Honduras (and I believe Florida, too), and the guy has the nerve to say that because it's not a hurricane he simply will not give the money back.

I spent the next year emailing him asking for the same request. As time went by, he simply said he had spent the $5,245.00 and couldn't give it back. In other words, this dude stole our money completely and never ever answered back for it.

I have never met someone as fraudulent as him. It is amazing that to the date this man has still has not respected the civil claim lawsuits or orders given. Some of the excuses we heard were that he was still collecting the money (in December 2020) from events, and he was going to answer back... he was served with a court order to appear on zoom court, and he didn't. The list goes on with this ''professional''.

Make no mistake that this isn't a reliable or trustworthy business. Attached are all the documents that prove the validity of the story, including the civil theft notice. Hopefully this testimony not only will help raise a huge red flag to other clients but hold this man a little bit accountable for his business.
