Initial United Flight Into pitts burgh delayed over 45 mis or so, Departure further delayed due to Alleged Air Traffic congestion and High Winds at Dulles (Evening of Aug 2nd at approx 2100 hrs) That delay made us late and caused us to miss our connecting flight to Munich. Despite assurances from The United Desk Staff that Assistance would be available as Dulles (he said) was a much larger International Hub? with accommodation replacement connections, Ha the Terminal was virtually closed and we were basically abandoned until the Terminal reopened Saturday morning What was supposed to be an overnight Journey of approx. flight time time of 17 hrs Turned out to be an extended 2 day journey of over 50 hrs, Unlike most travellers My wife and I keep our carry on baggage to what we estimate what we will need for the Total Flight (So an extra Day and a Half really stretches our Back Pack Supplies), On top of that, not one apology or acceptance of any type of blame has been received from the travel Company or the Star Alliance Group...

Desired outcome: Refund of Charges for passengers x2 Who were booked as premium Economy Passengers on Lufthansa Flt 415 (A/C #388)departing Dulles at 2024 hrs for an overnight flight to Munich arriving European time 12 20 hrs.
