I. signed up with mmlg in february of 2010... and everything started going well... then my file started to get transfered around in the office and I started to feel uneasy, then they "merge" with this new law firm Chastain and Etcheson, I received a call saying these clowns were taking over my file and again I was transfered to someone else...a week later I get a call saying my home sold. So I asked for my money back... not that I wanted all of my 2995 but I don't feel they did their job completely but they freaking lost my house... well I get told that the refund check will be sent to me and it was and It BOUNCED now I call them up and their number goes to this Chastain guys voicemail... I emailed the last person who was working on my file and they sent me a reply that said..."Steve Etcheson and Gene Chastain put a letter on our desks this morning stating they were closing opperations due to non compliance" but you can call Mr. Etcheson on his cell and he can help you, now my theroy is that first these guys are ### scam artists who have just taken my money and everyone elses and I want to warn anyone against using them...not only will they loose your home, bounce checks to you, not return calls, but they also will just leave their employees notes to tell them they are closing their doors...THIS "law firm" IS A SCAM! Don't use them! Run and hide call the FTC, Illinois Bar, Attorney General and anyone else you can! Get these guys disbarred asap so they can't hurt anyone else. Also after some digging I found out that their firm is in Canton Il, not AZ that address is some pass through pobox and they are only licensed in IL.

I agree with you totallly... I called for an update on my file... and these [censored]es TEXTED me that my file was not worked by them any longer and I needed to call another number. So I called it. Mr. Drury answers.. actually really nice to talk to for an attorney. He told me he would have a paralegal call me and let me know about my status. I get a call from a Courtney she explained to me that these Chastan and Etcheson guys did exactly that, come to the office in the middle of the night take selected files and leave everyone else in their wake. She is awesome, she is working from home with like 3 other paralegals who use to work for Mr. Drury before the ###s took over the office and fired everyone, and Mr. Drury hand picked them to help. My file never had a single bump til these guys. They are immoral and deserve prison time for what they did to us, their employees, and Mr. Drury!
What are you saying I am confused. They also have 3200 of my money anf I am getting totally dicked around. I spoke to Patrick Drury last week and he said someone was gonna call us it;s been a wwek. He said to me that we are in good hands and he will take care of everything and that chastin and etcheson are the bad guys. I am so distressed about this. I WILL not loose my house. We are now filing bankrutcy. Is that Patrick drury gonna help us? Is there really a chance we can get a modification? Any more info would be greatly appricated. I just learned this week that they scammed me. I did, what I thought, a good job at background checking before sending money. And thought they were on the up and up. They have all of my personal information plus $3000.00 and any and all phone numbers have been dismantled. Talked to chastain and etcheson and they said this group "intake Communications" is not affliciated. And also told me that the Merger with Patrick Drury did not go through. and basically said 'no comment' when asked if I was scammed. I am calling the attorney General today to see what options are available to reclaim my money. Probably none. I feel like a complete IDIOT- I should have known better.
Oh my God, no .I can't lose my house. I am getting the exact same thing happening to me.. I did a background check after being scammed the first time. They took $3000 of my money... The 1st red flag was they took my money before it was to be released. My house is to be sold Sept 29th unless I can come up with a lot of money.. My last contact was unkown number saying Patrick Drury is looking at my file and will get back with me. I have sent e-mail and left phone messages. the last call I made did have the option to leave a voice mail. Told of my concerns... Have not received any information as of Sept. 16, 2010 1:15 pm mdt There needs to be some ramifications very costly for taking advantage of people desperately seeking good legal help. We have been forced to rely on the same people scamming us... All the way to the top.

It's been two weeks since Patrick and I talked and he assured me someone was gonna call me. I did recieve a call on Tues and was told to email him. But that has also gotten me NOWHERE! I want to know if we can sue him!

Well I have maybe some helpful information. After much more research, and being in contact with another attorney in this industry, I have found out that as far as Patrick Drury, he is basically innocent. The checks that bounced did have Patrick's name os them, but they where not from patrick's office. what most people do not see is that these attorney's really had nothing to do with anything, they where just names. Neither the office in Flrida nor Illinois ever did the laon mitigating (processing) Only Arizona which is not an attorney's office, and they are outsourced by several attorney's offices, and other loan mod companies. Not just Patrick Drury, Chastain & Etcheson, Keith Sanders, TMMLG etc... The person behind all of this mess with all the attorney's has been careful to do business this way so his name doesnt get out, but Everyone can blame Mr. William Kane. who runs the entire operation. Patrick as well as Chastain & etcheson caught wind of the shady practices, and pulled out, but not before William Kane made sure thier names where dragged through the mud. Not everyone is going to get a modification. Beneficial, Vanderbilt do not do laon modifications only 6 months forebearance PERIOD. If you are with either lenders before you pay the new "attorney's" Sanders Law make sure you get actual recent closed cases from both lenders to prove that they can get actual loan modifications from these lenders. Bank of america you must be 60 days behind before they will even look at modifying loans. American General the "sales" person or mitigator which ever (before you pay any money) if they need to call the branch that the loan originated from to make sure they will modify the loan first. HSBC is the worst and they are set up guidelines so strict that most people do not get any assistance at all. They only use debt that originated before the loan originated which means credit cards, car payments, other loans, 2nd mortgages, child support or alimony. And they will not use cell phones or internet as a debt becuase it is not a nessecity. so if these debts where aquired after the loan forget about getting help from HSBC. USDA only does re-payment plans no loans modifications. Yes maybe this new law group can work with these lenders, but it doesnt mean they wll get loan modifications, and how William Kane gets around this is by dragging the process out, and when it gets to hot Changing Names. So you all can go on blaming the other attorney's but the real problem still exists and is still in business with a new attorney, so more people just like you will be lied to and taken. There are other attorneys' out there that actually do loan modificatiosn in house, and will be up front with what your lender is going to offer. I see complaints as not everyone is going to be satisfied, but if Mr, Kane is honest from the beginning then your homes may have been saved. Oh also if you have a sale date within 30 days DO NOT CALL SANDERS LAW or really any Loan modification attorney out side of your state. YOUR HOUSE WILL NOT BE SAVED. Get a foreclsoure defense attorney in your area, then maybe you will have a chance, but it is best to do so when you ahve the 20 day summons to accelerate.

I have been reading everyones comments on this board because I running into the same problem trying to get my money back from these ###. I am sorry for all of u that are close to losing your homes. You need to call your bank asap and disregard what any of the attorneys and ### associated with these coompanies has told you. The bank will work with you they are not that scary.If you truly need help you will receive it. Be upfront and honest with them and double check your paperwork before submitting.. The process is very simple! Do not depend on getting your money back from these guys. If you did pay them a upfront fee I hope u paid them with a credit card, if so file a charge back. Do not wait for them to work on your file collect you 3k later but save your house now. I use to have these companies do modification processing for me and they ran off my money as well and had to take on all of the files on my own. We need to file a lawsuite against these guys.. Counrtney Hannon is the one behind this whole mess. I have her contact info if you want it!

Well at least some of you received a call, or got to talk to Patrick Drury. I tried to call the numbers I had for the company in Florida but no answers until I got lucky. Than I was told the merger did not go trough, my file was sent to Patrick. Was iven a cell phone number which I called. Left a message, Patrick did call back but I was unable to answer. I have beentrying tocall him and the office but to no avail. No returned calls, I have been calling both numbers every day! I had spoken to a "secetary" Mary who assured me tat someone would be calling me back. I started to al them when Ireceived a letter from the court so I needed answers! That was 4 weeks ago, my court date is next week. God help me! I just want them to return my call. Is he a scam artist? or for real?
I too, have been scammed by these people. So, I am working with my Attorney General, IL Police Dept, my local new investigative team, the IL board (ARDC). I am NOT going to throw my hands up and say 'darn, I was scammed $3000.00' - I will FIND Patrick Drury - he STOLE money from me. Back in August, they were going to merge with Chastain&Etechson - but according to C&E -it did not go through. They are a realy company but told me they couldn't give me any details why the merger did not go through. I asked her if I was scammed and she just said she was sorry. Here is the names I have talked with over this scam: William Baskett, Tony Dorizio, Sarah Steele, Wendy Herrera, Chad Johnson. Also, C&E told me the name of 'Intake Communication' - anyone ever hear of this? I have left numerous message for Gene Chastein and Steve Etcheson. I am pursuing my investigation in IL. I have not in AZ or FL (which is where I sent my last cashiers check).
If any of you can post what state you are from as I try to gather everything possible to bring these people to justice!

Ok so after speaking with an attorney here in IL I found out that the merger was still valid and if any money was taken after July 1st from you it was through Chastain and Etcheson and you are a client of theirs and should go after them, before July 1st you are with Drury. I found this out because my attorney contacted drury who was able to show him proof of the merger and that Chastain and Etecheson took over his accounts. I was a client as of 6/8 but my money was taken on 7/15 too so I am sueing Chastain and Etcheson, Mr. Drury gave me a refund of the fees taken before the merger, I have reported them to the ARDC and cant wait to here back these guys deserve to be shot. When you call they act like they care about you but that is only because they are trying to save their own butts, they are liable and need to be held accountable.

I have called the office in AZ to no avail. I have only received voicemails for the last 3 months. I live in MI so knocking on the door would be tough. Supposedli I am one of 95 that went with Drury after the "breakup". And there is only one paralegal for us all. What is the odds of getting any service that way?

Those of us with Drury are getting worked and contacted you are probably one of the ones who was with the other Jerks.. CHASTAIN AND ETCHESON.. and then they decided they didnt want you and tried to tell you that you are still with Drury. I am waiting for the remaining money from Chastain but I have had contact with Drury and his office and at least they respond and give me information

You guys are wasting time -go to the authorities - it was a scam - PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Who ever cashed your check/s is who you go after. I have filed complaints/reports with every place I can get to - I suggest you do the same! I want my money back, I want to stop others from getting scammed, and I want these people punished!
WOWOWOWOWOW check this out, I called about my refund today to the Chastan and Etchson office and their receptionist told me that my file was now at another number, I called and got the FLORIDA office again... this smells really fishy to me! So these guys merge with Florida and drury then dont merge and now my file is back in florida again!
I am another victim of these two scamming law firms. I mailed a check to Patrick Drury in June, 2010 and then another check in August, 2010 so both law firms have scammed me out of $2800.00 dollars. my residence is in Baltimore, Md. So If anyone can give me information on who I can contact, it would be greatly appreciated. I did call ARDC of Ill, and they are sending me in the mail a complaint form to fill out. I feel like these law firms should be prosecuted to the fulless. I had to fax all of the information that the law firm asked for all over again, to my mortgage holder, who is now working on the modification. I still donot know how that is going to turn out. So I guess both law firms Patrick Drury, and Chastain and Etceson has taken my money, failed phone calls, no reply to my e-mails to Sharon Riley, nancy Urtz, and a Justin Jones . also when these people were e-mailing me, it was only to get documents from me or asking for the balance of the retainer fee. Now I can't get anyone on the phone, no one will reply back to me when I e-mail. And I have made calls on top of calls to Patrick Drury's cell and no response or even a call back. It is oh so sad when someone can call themselves human, but yet turn around and take poor peoples hard earned money. These attorneys need to be prosecuted to the fullest degree. It they are in anyway involved. If anyone can help me, or set me in the right direction, on how to start contacting someone legal, to have charges brought against these law firms, please contact me at jend776@aol.com. jend776 - contact your Attorney General! The MN Attorney General is interested in this and I am working with them. The big question is HOW MANY people have been scammed. I have heard a number of possibly 800 people! If so, the FBI may be interested. ic3.gov - is the place to file complaint to the FBI for Internet/White Collar Scams. I know for sure this is a scam and know a little how they are working it. Courtney Younghans in AZ and Bill Kane in FL sound like they are the head of this whole operation.

We got scammed to and tomorrow I am filing a complaint with the attorney general and the ARDC in Illinois. Not sure if I will get my money back but I will certainly go after their license to practice law.

I have now prepared a complaint that I will be sending out to the Attorney Grievance Commission of Illinois on both Drury and Chastain, and I am also filing a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General. Maybe then I can get them to respond. Do not use this company, it is a scam! I will be actively seeking a refund of my $3450 and unlucky for them, I work in a law office so I will be going after them as long as it takes to get my money back...

I too was scammed. I went for it hook line and sinker. they took $2, 800 from me. I too was caught in the merger. I started in May 2010 and MMG then Drury seemed to be doing what they said. I even called My mortgage co. to be sure things were moving along. They told me they were and I even recieved a letter from my mortgage co letting me know they had talked to them. My contact was Amy Glenon and she too was working from home after the merger failed. My last contact was on nov. 15th. Tried to call last week and all lines disconected as well as email addresses. I too WILL find Mr. drury and ord help him when I do. Any info anyone can give me I will be like a bull dog and not give up. I now have to come up with $20, 000 or get out.

that is where all of us got ripped off from. He was smart to put his name under other people and as soon as people catch on that he is ripping people off. He hires another "attorney" Keith Sanders, with battery charges, who is clearly kicked out of the Florida Bar. HE IS FRAUDULENT. Feel free to stop by and give him a piece of your mind. Hope this helps all of you poor people.

We were scammed too. William basket took our money then we changed hands several times. We want justice. We are from Ohio and they have ALL of our personal information. Courtney Hannon worked us over too with lies.
William basket was just a hired 'salesmn' to get you to sign up. I was able to make contact with him (he was my 'salesman' too) and he is trying to find Patrick Drury too as he was out money. Patrick Drury, Courtney Younghans (Hannons), and Bill Kane are the people you need to go after. I actually got a news story on my local news about this scam and got a reaction from Patrick and Courtney-we had conversations and they are pointing fingers away from themselves. Steve Etcheson has been in communicaiton with me as well and telling me how these guys run the scam (he calls it a ponzi scheme). I have been working with the Ag's office in IL and also MN - I am fighting for all of us to get our money back!
