Celebrity White Teeth and Smile White Pro review: SCAM 49

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I signed up for free trial offers from "Smile White Pro" and "Celebrity White Teeth" and looked up on the internet to see if anyone had achieved the white smile the mom from such n such town had supposedly achieved.
Realizing later this was just a scam to secretly sign you up for a membership that does nothing, I called the customer service number [protected] for Smile White Pro and canceled my account before any charges were applied.

I then looked everywhere for the Celebrity White Teeth customer service number but they don't have any contact info anywhere on their website like Smile White Pro. It was on this site I saw a similar complaint with the phone number of [protected] for Celebrity White Teeth that she saw on her bank statement account. I called this number and talked to Jenny and sure enough they had an account in my name and after 3-5 business days from purchase, my account was going to be charged $49.00 and from what I understood a total of $600.00 would be charged for that year. Then just to be on the safe side I canceled my Debit card. What a big pain to have to deal with this, but fortunately I didn't lose any money thanks to this website.

I agree that this is a scam, but I did not get caught up. I was already reluctant to try the product from an UNKNOWN online source. Therefore, I stayed on top of the subscription cancellation. This was particularly helpful since, like many others, I did not receive the package until after the trial period was over. I paid $.99 for the package and was charged prior to receipt.

Additionally, " the sweet little mom from Decatur, GA" recommended that the product should be used in conjunction with Alpine White, so I ordered that for $1.49. I wanted to ensure that I was prepared to fight just in case it was a scam. My credit card account was charged twice for the products, but I did not receive any additional charges. The compamy was willing to remove the second charge in both cases.

Instead of fighting with the company about a refund for the first charge(after I did not receive the products), I filed a dispute with my credit card company. I NEVER received the product even after the 14-day trial was over. When I am attempting to be extra cautious, I use my credit card instead of my debit card because it is easier to file disputes and I do not have to worry about someone stealing money that is allotted for something else.

All of the charges were removed and I did not have to do a lot of fighting. I called the company daily (for 1 week) beginning at day 13 to cancel my subscription and ensure that they were not going to charge me anything else.

They finally sent both products nearly 4 months later. So, in essence I did not even pay for them because I had already been refunded. By the way, they actually work. PLEASE JUST REMEMBER TO ALWAYS BE CAREFUL AND PROACTIVE WHEN ORDERING FROM AN UNKNOWN INTERNET SITE.

This is totally a scam. Received the trial sample and had not had a chance to use it for 5 days and my credit card was charged. I talked to customer service 3 different times and they assured me that I would NOT get a refund. This has been going on for 5 months and still no refund. I did not get a months supply or a weeks supply shipped to me but yet I am being charged $149.95 for a tube that is smaller than my little finger... DO NOT EVEN TRY THIS PRODUCT...IT IS DEFINELY NOT WORTH THE HASSLE.

This is a scam. They sent the trial offer and then before I could use it for 5 days they had charged my credit card. I have now been fighting this for 5 months. DO NOT ORDER THE TRIAL OFFER. IT IS NOT WORTH IT AND THERE WAS NEVER NAYONE IN BEAUFORT, S.C. THAT ENDORSED THIS THAT I COULD FIND. STILL FIGHTING THE CHARGE AND WILL CONTINUE TO.

same thing happened to me i called the number to cancel my subcription and they said they canceled it. the next month i was charged again. i waited to see if i would get one the next month and sure enough i did. i tried the number at the top of the complaints and they said mine came from teethid. i had to call them. that number is [protected] and please write down the number of the operaror or name that you are talking to and write down your cancelation number they give you. the first time i called they gave it to me and i figured it was a done deal and missplaced my cancelation infromation. i am hanging on to this one and i hope it works. wish me luck. i just called that number today.

I must admit I too am a victim to this scam. I did email them and they stopped the charges to my card for the $12.95 but would not refund the $169.95. I reread the terms and conditions and no where does it say you will be billed $169.95 for a membership. Which is misleading. It states you will be billed for a membership but doesn't list a price. I too will notify the FTC and my Attorney General. I am also thinking of contacting an attorney for a class action law suite. There are plenty of us who were scammed.

Shocker! Yet another individual robbed by these money suckers! Same story as everyone else. I never buy online and because of this reason. They advertised free no risk trial size and somehow I magically signed up for some crap I havent even tried yet. I paid $0.99 for the shipping, the receipt I printed after the online order and the one I received when I opened the package only shows the postage fee. There is no mention about me purchasing a membership and that I would be charged $75 if I didn't cancell in 14 days. When I called on 5/10/10 the rep was very smug and naturally I lost my patience...she was so quick to respond with the proper dialog with what to say when someone calls with this issue...clearly that are use to this because she cut me off during my complain and clearly was reading from something all in on breath...I am a stay at home mom who fell for the bait. So $0.99 that I thought I was paying has now cost me $75 plus the $29 overdraft fee and the additional 5 bucks a day my bank charges until it straightened out...FTC and Better Business Bureau here I come!

I was STUPID STUPID STUPID, and got LURED into this scam, but I realized RIGHT AWAY because of NO INFO on the invoice that it was a SCAM. I immediately researched and found a number to cancel, called them and got a cancellation #. Low & behold the next day there was a charge of $3.49 even though it was ONLY suppose to be $0.99, I called them and they said they couldn't refund me EVEN THOUGH they was NOT going to ship the product cause I canceled it.. Anyway a month later they tried taking more money out of my account through my Debit Card. I love Bank of America, they helped me out by advising me to block my Debit Card right away, then I went the next day and got a new one, and Bank of America gave me ALL my money bank.. RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH from now on is all I can say, so you don't fall prey to this scam..

OH MY GOSH! this is such a SCAM...The bogus company is out of the country so little can be done to put them out of business. I also was told the same lame story over and over, that I'd agreed to their term and conditions. After pulling up their web site and explaining to the agent nowhere under terms and conditions does it say I'll be charged. I asked for their terms and conditions to be emailed proving I'd signed up to pay $169, 95 for teeth whitening. After talking with 2 agents I was hung up on. I contacted my CC company and will file an unauthorized purchase complaint. If you received a refund, please share how you accomplished it. Maybe if enough people are refunded they will get the message...CELEBRITY WHITE TEETH COMPANY IS NOTHING MORE THAN A BAND OF THIEVES...and further more the so called 'free' trial DID NOT work.

I was also scammed for 250.00. I cancelled two days before the 14 day trial priod and had all the proof. I had to get a police report and fill out papers at my cedit union along with my proof and I received ALL my money back today. I did have to cancel my debit card and get a new one but was so worth it to screw these people.
One of the lucky ones!

Yes i am sure this is another scam site. I used a visa gift card when ordering the 2 products mentioned somewhere. I called immediatly to cancel my membership but wasnt in the system. Called back 24 hours later and i was told it was cancelled. I then filled up my truck, car and busa with gas to use up the gift card because i knew they would just charge me anyways. Come on people wake up, never use an account that has money in it for shady stuff on the innerweb.

I was just scammed!

On 3/30/2010 I saw the add and ordered the .99 trial which I still have not received. Noticed today my debit card was charged 171.31 plus another 80.62. I called and the lady I spoke with said her tracking sytem for the free trial was down. She also stated that I did not cancel with in 14 days. I did cancel by email on the 13th day. Getting no answers and nothing but lies! I will have to cancel card tomorrow and try and make more phone calls complaining.

Hi again,
I posted about a week ago, and since then, took what I had and visited my bank. I was surprised that they had an open mind to my story, and when I showed them some of the posts here that I had copied and printed, they agreed with me that this scam needed to be stopped. They told me the only and best way to hit them where it counts, is to do chargebacks on all of the charges, and then it is in their court to prove that we actually ordered and agreed to all of the foolish and illegal charges, which, of course, we didn't. I noticed that today, all of my losses were reinstated to my account, and hopefully will stay there, and not be contested by this scam. I wish all of you the best, and wanted to share my experience, which might work for others of you who can still do chargebacks. By the way, my reinstated losses were over $350.00, because some were overdrafts incurred when the companies withdrew my money, which I wasn't prepared for.

Oh God, i just found this one after while searching their website. Follow right behind mt9999, i hope i am the last victim of this scam.

Everything that all people said here is 100% correct. I experienced the same thing (the cancellation, the complaint, and all, but it never worked). IT'S A SCAM. I have been charged $169.95 (NXT*CELEBWHITES), $40 (IBUILDWEALTH), and $5.10 (International service). Fiuhhhh. I can't now believe that i was so stupid. Lesson Learnt.

I was also stupid and signed up for this. I cancelled within 14 days, but I was still charged $149.95 which after several calls and emails was refunded to me. What nobody told me is that this company is overseas so I was also charged $4.5 for foreign currency transaction which will not be reimbursed by the bank. This happened a few weeks ago, and then I was looking at my bank account online and there is a fee that will be charged of $1.29. I called them again: [protected] and the lady said it is a cancellation fee! Is this a joke? WHen are they gonna stop charging my credit card? I don't care that is only a dollar, they have no right to keep charging my credit card this way. And what is funny is that I also got the phone number frm my credit card company and when you called it just says "customer service", I asked what company that was and the girl was like "did you place a trial offer online recently?". I mean, she couldn't even say what Company that was, later she said it was celebrity whitening. This company should not be allowed to continue with its business.

I am also a victom of celebritywhiteteeth...

I was drawn in by the spokesperson in the ad as she was from Utah and I thought "trustworthy"? Wish I could find the ad again. . .

I read EVERYTHING in the ad and determined the only cost would be $3.95 for shipping and handling for the FREE trail of the product. There was NO mention of a "membership fee" - or for additional fees of $12.95 per month! I did NOT give authorization to charge my account $149.95 for the membership or $12.95/month. There was no warning whatsoever of any charges to my account, no bill and no letter stating there would be a fee of 12.95 a month for the product.

I keep a close watch on my Visa account and noticed the charges almost immediately. INCLUDING the "charges to convert the money into whatever kind of currency these people use" as it appears they reside in Canada? Although the product came from California?

Seems like I was luckier than some of the others because I WAS able to get a person on the phone to discuss the charges. I was informed that since I had not "cancelled" my membership (which I didn't know I had?) - that the $149.95 could not be reversed - OR the $12.95 as it was past the 14 day period.

I said there was no paperwork received with the product to inform me of "membership fees and monthly charges or a 14 day grace period?" and to that he responded that they do everything "paperless". I should have gone on their website to read the things that I had "agreed" to? What website? How would you know until you saw the charges show up?

I have disputed the charges and cancelled my card so that further charges cannot be applied. AND I will report them to the Better Business Bureau and whatever other agency I can, to possibly help in shutting these scammers down. SHAME on THEM!

These people are scamming everyone be very aware!

Sincerely,
One P-O'd Customer!

The scam is you have 10 days to cancel. I got the products 12 days later in the mail. Then the unauthorized charges show up ($87.47 for EverBright, $69.95 for Celbrity White, and $40.00 for IBuildWealth who bought your name from XMBRANDS and charges you for it) show up on your bank account. Hours and hours of "on hold" phone calls, I was informed I had to cancel within the 10 days after the initial online purchase. They know it takes more than 10 days for a product to get mailed in the U.S. and not giving us enough time to even try the product, let alone time enough to cancel, I haven't even received the product yet, how do I know if I want to cancel or not. This is a SCAM. Contact Florida Attorney General about "XM BRANDS" who are the main distributor for various products that are currently on the scam list. Go to your bank and stop any further charges and file a claim through your bank. Hopefully, enough people will contact their Banks, Florida Attorney General, facebook, twitter, etc. and get these guys stopped and get our money back.

I thought i would add my name to the many who have been scammed by this dishonest company. Not only did I get charged the $89.00 after only 6 days, before the product even arrived at my house, but my bank charged me an overdraft fee, because my account had insufficient funds to cover the charge. I called the company, and a lady told me she could only extend my trial period for a few days until I received the product, but could not reverse the charges or the overdraft fees, which I don't feel entitled to pay because I didn't authorize them to charge the $89.00 anyway, especially before I even had a chance to try the product. They are counting on us just giving up, and not complaining or following up, but i intend to file a complaint with the FTC and BBB. This is a good example of why not to do business online...what a shame.

To the above employee that works for Celebrity White Teeth. Customer Service has been contacted several times with no help I don't know if you are being paid well because you should be as much as this company takes in unlawfully. So I am assuming you feel good about your 20, 30 40 dollards an hr job because if you are not getting this much you indeed are one of us getting ripped off check it out talk to your superior and find out exactly what goes on where does the money the company takes in go. Because they are not shipping out product or giving refunds to unsatisfied customers. Ask them check it out better yest get on line and order the sample and then cancel and see if you get your money refunded. Go ahead prove me wrong. Then check complaints on twitter, face book e-mails etc. The advertisement does not use real local people its all a scam and in todays economy you should be ashamed for working for such a company.

I got scammed so badly by this company and just received a letter from Wells Fargo saying that I was charged correctly and that they basically won't refund me the $149.95. Some of you said you got charged more than that amount for about 12 dollars. I am so nervous that I may just close that credit card and open a new one for piece of mind. This is disgusting on every level. I wish someone would take this company down and give all consumers back their money. I think they are in the U.S but handle their calls by [censored]s in God knows where. Those people on the phone are nasty and so unethical. They made my blood boil so much that I was cussing left and right. I wish them nothing but bad luck and hope that karma gets them someday soon.

I submitted as many complaints as I can. I still can't believe I fell for this scam.

Oh and Kmedia - are you kidding me? The company you are working for is scamming people for a living. How do you sleep at night knowing you scammed a single mom who needs to put food on the table? You should be ashamed of yourself. I can't believe you even admit to working for this scamming company. If you have any morals help us get our money back or please let your management know they will be going down soon! I work in the entertainment industry and will do everything in my power to expose you and your company on Dateline or any respected news show! I want to see every one of those customer service "supervisors" as they call themselves (I call them low lifes) dragged out and cuffed for the world to see and applaud as you get locked up for this illegal business you are conducting.

They have scammed me out of $300.00. They took it out of my account because I ordered the free trial. One for me and one for my husband. I didn't get the order until almost 2 weeks later. My bank notified me that I was be charged $149.95 two times. I told the bank that they had told me that they were going to refund my money. They took the money out of my account in early January. Now it's almost April and I have not received my refund. The company states they reside at:

3 Athinodorou Street, 2025 Dasoupoli, Strovolos Nicosia Cyprus

They are scams...DON'T ORDER NOTHING FROM CELEBRITY WHITE TEETH. and if you google their address..it sounds like they sell more than just celebrity white teeth. Be careful. I am going to my bank on Friday and cancelling my credit card and have a chargeback done. Check to see if your bank will do this also for those who have lost money. I am also calling better business bureau.

I knew going in that I had to cancel before March 8. I cancelled on March 2 and on March 12 they charged my card. I called customer service who could only cancel my membership. He confirmed that my request for cancellation was in their files, but said they had emailed me to call them. I never rec'd that email. He gave me an email address for the "refund" department who have not responded. I am now filing a fraudulent charge report with the credit card company.
Along with Celebrity, I ordered Extreme Brite White. Now this is a downright scam. I tried to cancel and was told I did not have an account. I rec'd the product on March 10 - 2 days after I had to return a portion of the product to avoid being charged. When I contacted them again, I was told it did not come from them. I cancelled my card before they could magically find my records.

I JUST GOT SCAMMED TOO!

They just refused to refund my account the $169.95 that was fraudulently taken from me in a phishing scheme I was caught in on Craigslist.

Someone going by the name of Nancy Bennett, who I have discovered has posted on Craigslists all over the United States, was claiming to be a local here and giving out free dog food. I tried to get some but she told me she had already given it away, but she worked for a dental office and they gave away free teeth whitening products and she would send me some, all I had to do was pay .99 cents shipping and handling. She then sent me to celebwhiteteeth.com to get my supposedly FREE trial. I entered my debit card number and I received the product without any notification that 2 weeks later I would be charged $169.95.

This is a PHISHING scheme to steal people's debit card numbers so that your company can use them. This is FRAUD.

Please people, file claims with the FTC and the Better Business Bureau, AND contact Clark Howard's radio show so that this company can get national-level exposure about this PHISHING SCHEME. By refusing to make it right and refund my money, they have become a willing participant in a felony. I will do everything I can to expose Celebswhiteteeth's participation in this phishing scam.

This happened to me too - I was able to get the money refunded by my CC Company and I closed that card also - I had an additional 'bogus' charge show up after I argued so much with the people on the telephone and through emails so it seemed that perhaps closing the card made sense - a bit of a hassle but I'm whole now...they are actually known as Aviayo Media, LLC in Miami, Fl - Report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Florida State Attorney Generals office - also Call their offices - [protected] and leave a complaint.

I guess I get to join the 100's that have been scammed by the celebswhiteteeth.com ordeal. I too have been taken by these criminals for $169.95 for a membership I did not authorize. I made a complaint with the FTC because the site is in violation of their new testimonials rules as well as the company scamming people. I have not heard back from them yet. Just make sure you cancel your card. I would complain to my Congressmen and Senators, but I doubt they will help since they are currently overburdened with finding their ways of screwing us Americans out our money as well, if you know what I mean! Any lawyers out their know of a way we can get a class action law suit started against these companies? Any hackers who think their kung fu is really good, think they can take down the www.celebswhiteteeth.com site or the www.everbrite.com sites? If so, we really can use some cheering up. Post your results here with the link showing the site hacked and we will celebrate your talents.

THIS IS A SCAM! I ORDERED THE SAMPLE, MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED AND I NEVER RECEIVED THE PRODUCT! WHEN I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE, AS 20 MINUTES, THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO MAKE A REQUEST FOR THE REFUND IN WRITING; I DID AND THE SENT ME A RESPONSE SAYING TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REQUEST IT, WHAT A RUN AROUND. CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID THEY CANNOT REFUND THE MONEY DUE TO THEIR POLICY! P L E A S E DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN THIS SCAM. I PLAN TO TAKE MY COMPLAINT TO THE PROPER GOVERING AUTHORITIES. IF EVERYONE DID THE SAME THING, MAYBE SOMETHING WOULD BE DONE TO THEM.

Yep Total scam,
My wife did the free trial with cleb white and another one. We were charged $450 before I knew what was happening. Bank can't do anything. You have to cancel your card. May I suggest reporting to you state attorney general and the feds. They love going after scams like this because it makes them look good at election time. Also every time you see it advertised on a website you are visiting. Quickly email the site about the fraudulent nature of the "business" Have a letter stored in your CPU that you can just copy and paste to the email of the websites you run across with this scam advertised. That way it will not take but a second of your time. Sure wish they were located in the USA, would love to threaten them physically.
