The ethics of the company are very questionable. My wife signed up and paid a sizable amount up front. A week ago we received our document package in the mail. We decided that "this was not the trip for us" and called [protected] and requested a refund. We were refused on the grounds that we had exceeded the 30 day time limit. We have no intent of using this package and just want our money back. What does this say about this Carribean Cruise Line?

We have never seen this "certificate" and have 30 days to cancel after receiving it (by Florida State Law). This is illegal not to say unethical! I would never take money from someone without providing a service. How can you defend such behavior, unless your are affiliated with them?

We have filed a complaint with the SE Florida Better Business Burea. I just checked the BBB rating for this "company" and it has dropped from"D+" to an "F". See:

Imagine that. "FULL LEFT RUDDER AND FULL STEAM AWAY" from this outfit!

Ethics is about doing the right thing. With a BBB rating of "F" (that is the lowest possible rating), Caribbean Cruise Lines must be doing something wrong.

My intent is to warn others about this unethical behavior. I don't know what you are trying to do. My mission is accomplished regardless of your attempts to discredit me. Others will read and make thier own decistions based on this and other postings. Ka Sara Sara...

Just a followup. We reported this company to the Florida BBB and in a couple of weeks we got a full refund. You have to be persistent. They will try every "trick in the book" to persuade you not to cancel. When that does not work, they will flat out deny a refund. I filled out an online complaint with the Florida BBB and was refunded in full within a few weeks. Some clouds have a silver lining. Just don't give up :)

We got our money back, but we had to report them to the Soutch Florida Better Business Burea. After they recieved the complaint from the BBS we got a check in the mail shortly thereafter. GOOD LUCK!

Just tell BBB that they will not refund your money. It was after 30 days, but I think they use that spiel to rip you off. Truth is you will not use thief product so you should get your money back. Fair is fair! Good luck.

I have been trying to find a way to get a refund for a couple years now. This company is a joke. I must have been out of my mind when I initially thought this was a legit trip. I will be sending a certified letter to the BBB as well. Thanks for the info!

Just submitted my complaints and requests for refund to the BBB and the Florida Department of Consumer Services. I will keep everyone posted.

Stay away from this CCL company. They are big thief. They don't have any standard of ethic. They don't have any mercy for the customers. All they want is you credit card # and take your money away. Once they have your credit card # they will do any thing to you.
I fell in to their scam and now I am having really hard time to get my refund. Most likely I won't get it my $ 1600 US. They told me bluntly on phone that the money is not refundable...so guys be careful. Don't deal with this company. I learned my lesson by paying $1600. It was costly.

I too was contacted by ccl told I would not have to listen to a ownership tour just had extra cabins had to fill. I paid with my credit card. I asked for a refund was told just transfer it to someone I know if I didn't want it. I am going to try for refund following about recommendations. I am confused on address one address is caribbean cruise line 100 w cypres creed road #700 ft lauderdale florida and other is

Thank you so much for this information. Reading your post has renewed my faith. I got my additional passenger port charges refunded today and I filed a complaint with the BBB and fax and certified a letter to their compliance department. I will post to let everyone know what happens!

I need to get my money back and they WONT! What do I write in the complaint to the South Florida BB? I have never really made a complaint or wanted my money back so bad...I don't really know where to start? jknowler...can you give me some advice? Thanks!

I'm going to have to do the same as well. I tried to cancel and they just extended the package..I told them I no longer wanted the package at all and wanted a refund. They told me because the purchase was made in June it was too late for a cancellation

Thank you jknowler for your post. I had a similar problem retrieving a refund from Caribbean Cruise Line (though my request for a refund was within the 30 business days time limit). Your post gave me hope that despite the aggressive and lying salesmen and women who told me that, for reasons that changed each phone call, they could not refund my purchase of two cruise vouchers, I could still eventually retrieve my money from this unethical company. After getting the BBB of Fort Lauderdale involved, as you recommended, as well as the Florida Division of Consumer Services, I received a full refund after three weeks.
