I put $8000.00 on care credit for a surgery I had. My understanding was that I would get 0% interest for 12 months and then I would have to pay an interest charge of the typical market rate somewhere between 22-27%. They did not tell me that I would be charged interest retroactively for the entire year if I didn’t pay off the entire balance within 12 months. They charged me $1800.00 after the 12 month period came and went. I am beyond pissed! They said it was in the original paperwork I filled out at the surgeons office (somewhere in the fine print I’m sure) They make it difficult to view any interest information on your statements.
Desired outcome: I want to be reimbursed the $1,800 they charged my card last October 2022
