This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

Burr is an example of what gives the home improvement industry the reputation it deserves: broad promises without the resources or commitment for completion, combined with an unlimited library of excuses. Through it all, Burr uses their bravado and swagger to deflect any questions, suggestions, or complaints. They shall not be ashamed, no matter how bleak the circumstances that they create for themselves.

Where I went wrong: I didn't check enough customer references to fully understand Burr's strengths and shortcomings. Strengths: work quality and persistence in cashing checks. Weaknesses: poor project management and resource coordination combined with a compete disregard for the customer.

Attention Business Consultants: Burr needs help! Their basic model is sound. If only they could say what they will do -- and then do what they say.

I agree with both of these reviews 100%. I had the very same unbelievable issues with Woody, and all of Burr roofing.
Promises agreed to ahead of time but never bothered to follow through on and psychological games like "gas lighting" used to deflect blame from himself. This is used by many bad contractors, and the Homeowner needs to be prepared for this.
Yes, he is big on getting paid but does not care about Management, oversight, quality, nor protection of your home.

He left our home in a mess with huge nails blown into our garden, woods, all over our driveway, and in our stone walkway.
The unmanaged men are also mental game players and they don't even speak English! They "pout" and will act all "sad" if you question why proper tarps are not used and why they are not using proper protection for the home, etc.

The damages caused in our home are too plentiful to recount in this complaint.

Finally, we have a Cupola window that has a motor damage to the electrical motor due to his lack of providing non-surge electrical cords which are $25 at Home Depot. EVERY good builder should provide this and understand this and if they do not then they are nothing more than a scam.
The power surges throughout DAY ONE damaged our Cupola electric window, caused many breakers to turn off and this incompetent and arrogant individual could have given a list of reasons why it was not his fault.
It was a nightmare.
Very disappointing and dangerous to boot.

Couldn't agree more! Woody Priest is big on promises and very short on delivering. Beware that Woody is 100% a Salesman, and not an organized project manager. My guess is that his dad built the business and earned the reputation that they had initially, and now that Woody has bought the business, he is not able to produce the same results. My $50K siding project took months to complete, and there were numerous mistakes and miscommunications along the way. I'm happy to provide details to anyone who wants them! Here's a couple of the greatest hits: There were times in the middle of my project that Woody would go completely radio-silent and not respond to texts or calls. Here are the excuses: "Sorry, i didn't get back to you, but i was feeling tired and so i pulled over on the side of the road and fell asleep for 3 hours." "Sorry i didn't get back to you, I was working in the shop and shot myself with the nail gun." "Sorry i didn't get back to you, it was my dog's birthday and I took the day off to celebrate."
