Robert Gillis co-owner of Blue Hill Landscaping 1030 East Street Mansfield Ma (co-owner Jeremy Morani Business [protected]. He mainly advertiises on NEXTDOOR.com which is where I hired him from.
Damage to property from mowing on July 13, 2022, Mr. Robert Gillis came by when I was not around. He didn't receive my message to come by another day. The same day Mr. Gillis said he might have done damage to 1 pane of the sliding glass door. I text him we could talk about that's when all communication stopped at his end. stopped.
About 2 weeks later he communicated and actually picked up when I called and became belligerent The mediator from nextdoor.com appeared to be friends with Mr. Gillis and allowed him to post another advertisement in a different way so as to not be connected with him the previous advertising on the nextdoor.com site. he said even though I was trying to get money from him he will try to work things out. If I had responded I would have confirmed his statement. But I did contact other ppl associated with Mr. Gillis by text. I just think he has no business insurance.
1. Blue Hill Landscaping according to the quote is located at 1030 Main St. Mansfield Ma This home is a family trust.
2. When I did mention insurance he said he has had insurance for 20 years. Since he is in his 20s he would have been an adolescent when he got his insurance so I guess he is talking about the Family Trust home
2. He works remotely with other people including the other co-owner Jeremy Morani that work for Blue Hill Landscaping.
3. He asks for cash-only payments but was forced to accept checks because i didn't have money on hand.
4. He was also listed to be working for Imperial Landscaping, The owner of this company came by and took a look at the damage and said that one of his equipment caused a rock to ricchot at the window. this why he was fired due to damage to customer's property and gave me his business card.
5. This was an accident he didn't commit a crime had he just followed through with his first call there would have been some kind of agreement reached without all this animosity.
Questions
Is he following all the rules run a small landscaping business in Massachusetts ( workman's comp and/or business insurance)
Is he keeping an accounting of cash payments that goes to him and other workers at the Blue Hills Landscaping Business and reporting it to IRS
Desired outcome: It's going to cost over 1,000 to fix the door including labor. I am just asking 355. If he wants to work it off he has to have the necessary state requirements to work as a small business. (no mowing)
