Not only these people are total rip-off, but they are also rude. First they show up to fix a burst pipe, do nothing, charge $100 for "visit fee", and leave some paper with $850 worth of other things to do before they would deign to replace a $5 PVC pipe.
Then their customer service person is unbelievably rude to us on the phone. I mean "Seinfeld" rude, the "Soup Nazi" episode. If I didn't know it's for real I would think it's not for real but some gotcha TV crue set us up.
I am canceling their check, fighting their fees in court, and, needless to say, will never use their services again.
We are familiar with this customer's case. The facts are as follows:
This customer's spa was set up and installed in a completely unacceptable and dangerous installation with wet electrical boxes, lack of GFCI, etc. It would be a liability for us to work on this product. As a result, we are NOT ALLOWED BY LAW to do the repair on the pipe, and left the customer with the information on what would be needed to bring the installation to code. This was not some absurd way of trying to rip anyone off. The customer then claimed that we had already been to their home before and knew of this, however, their information came through via Service Magic which is a third party. We had never been there. We did bill for a travel charge and the time that was spent on site. This is very normal. Any service industry (plumbers, etc) will have a travel charge to come to the house.
