I went on the Big o tires website for estimate on Michelin tires. I scheduled appointment for at 1770 South Havana. I set up a email confirmation appointment with a estimate with $904 for four tires with the $190 rebate.

I go to appointment. I informed the manager Robert about my online appointment and estimate. He took my keys and told me it would be ready early afternoon. After 6 hours I called and was told my car was ready for pickup. When I arrive, I'm told that my estimate is $1,290. I believe my estimate would be the $904.. I never received a new estimate from him upon dropping my vehicle off.

The worker told me that the online price is just an estimate and not the reflection of the true price of cost of services. I wish I had known that before I dropped my car off. I asked him what I could do to rectify the situation. He told me there is nothing they can do and that is the way that things operate. He was very rude, dismissive and how he communicated, consistently cutting me off and interrupting me once I asked how I would be able to get my rebates. He responded that I was not eligible for all the rebates although they were posted on my online estimate. He never explained how I could become eligible for these rebates or tire protection discount. Which, I found out later was is apply for a credit card which I would have gladly done.

I then ask to speak to a manager. The worker then told me it doesn't matter if I speak to the manager because he would tell me the very same thing. Which I thought was very unprofessional. I waited for the manager Robert to come out. He stated to me that I was not eligible for all the rebates. And that the price was correct. I did have a copy of my estimate that they gave me in paper, I asked how I could remedy this issue with him. He told me there is no way to remedy the problem as that he would not honor the online pricing, and then if I had a problem to "take it up with corporate office."I asked for the corporate office number, he said no, and said that I need to pay for my vehicle first before. I asked him for his name he refused, saying it would be on the invoice one I paid.

I exited the building, googled the corporate office number, called directly to let them know that not only with the store not honor or even have similar pricing to what was agreed upon online but that the customer service was very poor and the staff was argumentative and dismissive.

The customer service rep took my information, agreed to have someone contact me three business days. I told her, feel as though if the pricing was going to be different he should have notified me before beginning work on the car. She agreed. She also informed me, that I should have received a estimate.

I then returned to the store to get my car. The store manager Robert told me that I need to give back the estimate I had from earlier that stated the 1290 amount.

I told him that I would give it to him but, I would like a copy of it, and then yet anothe. Robert stated multiple times that he would not give me a copy of the document and that it was property of the store although they had already given me a copy of it.

I also told him that the customer service rep told me that I was supposed to have an estimate from the store before they begun work if it were going to differ from the price I got online. Robert then proceeded to ask me who did I talked to on the phone in customer service, and if that person was "Mexican? That very much upset me as a person of color and I did not understand why that mattered. He explained that if it was a"Mexican"person that they had no understanding of the policy for his store as they work out of the corporate office in Florida. I'm not sure how this was relevant to our conversation but I was very upset that he was using race to judge the reps qualifications to explain how a minority would not know policy.

I myself am a minority and was very offended by this statement and stated so to him. He continued to be upset that I would not give him the paperwork that I was holding in my hand which included the estimate and proceeded to psychically rip the estimate out of my hands. Because I was holding on to the paperwork tightly he only got partial parts of the paper and ripped it up.

The parts he did get he proceeded to rip up. At this point I feared for my safety based on his statements and his aggressive behavior and I told him that because he would not release my car to me and ripped papers out of my hand I made statements about minorities that I thought were very disrespectful and racist that I was going to contact 911.

He continued to harass me on and said to call the cops, and that he didn't care and they weren't going to do anything about it. He also said the corporate was not going to do anything about it and if I want my car I need to pay the amount that he stated. I did call the police. After a hour they didn't come yet

Unfortunately they were not able to come to the scene due to having an overwhelming amount of calls but did provide me with a reference number for the call. That reference number is p2203998 for the city of Aurora Colorado or Arapahoe county.

Because I wanted my vehicle back I did pay my invoice so that I can leave the premises.

I have serious concerns about ever returning to the store for safety reasons also because the manager and staff there showed zero remorse for their behavior and felt very justified in front of customers, say he got it on tape. So do I

yelling and interrupting a customer okay? making racist statements is ok? refusing to release my vehicle to me without a proper estimate that was agreed on that changed at the minimum three different times and threatening to call the police on me if I didn't pay the invoice.?

My final payment was around $1,150, different than the 1290, different than the 904 that I originally agreed to pay.

I would like to see if this issue can be resolved.

Desired outcome: Honor estimate given online. If that was going to change I should have been notified prior so I could make an informed choice if I wanted to get services done there. Customer service there is poor, racist and offensive. Legal action?
