This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I was sold a car with defects that I was not informed about. I was assured that the car went through an 80apoint check but somehow these serious defects went un-identified.

I was able to pick up on them on my first drive after delivery of the vehicle. Thereafter, I complained about the problem and stated that I want the car replaced as I'd seen a newer model at a cheaper price and with less mileage.

I was given a loan car while I waited for the car to be replaced, but somehow got a suprise delivery at 10PM. This is after a week of silence from the dealership - no contact from the sales man nor the manager- but yet they delivered the car to me with no notice .

Thereafter, in the middle of the night, I was told to test the car, which I refused as I'd wanted the car to be replaced. In the midst of all this, I'd also told my sales adviser to cancel the deal. The subsequent interaction I had with the manger through a phone call was not pleasant and very unprofessional.

The loan car was collected and I was later sent an email stating that the deal cannot be cancelled as it is a bank financed car. However according to Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and Motor industry Obudsman South Africa (MIOSA), I have the right to revoke the deal and let the dealership settle as they sold me a defect product. As a matter of fact, the bank (ABSA) confirmed that it is the dealership that is supposed to settle the car.

I received the email on 10 December 2018 and replied to it in the same day, but have yet to receive a response as at 16 December 2018. This shows the lack of professionalism of the company, whereby by they are legally bound to reply after 48hours of receiving my response.

I'm not sure if Volkswagen, Master Cars and Bidvest McCarthy treat their customers like this.
1. Sellling defect cars acclaimed as approved through vigorous tests.
2. Bad customer service.
3. Misleading customers and selling products through undue influence.

Since VW Commercial Witbank is not resolving nor providing the due care to resolve this matter, Is VWSA in contradiction of their own standards such Volkswagen Mastercars are put through the most stringent of quality checks making sure that the car you get is as good as new.

I believe that it is wrong and should not be done to anyone, as this is a moral, ethical and legal matter here.
