BayanDSL review: Charging for NO SERVICE, refusal of bill adjustment, insistence on consumer covering no-data months 1

dec = first rebate for no data happens. i am relatively pleasant when i visit the center, though slightly annoyed, i spoke to a middle aged man in the center who is kind and helpful and my rebate is taken care of within 24-48 hrs. i am informed that the internet has been put back on. unfortunately, it does not work. i request tech via the text number. i get no response, receive no acknowledgment whatsoever. i am busy over the holidays, i figure maybe bayantel is busy as well. i wait but get
nothing.

jan = internet still does not exist. (at this point i have to mention that there have been times the bill arrives every other
month; i do not know if this is due to delivery, or bakal kids playing pranks with house bills left outside - doesn't matter.) i am waiting for the bill, i no longer bother calling because no one on the phone ever tries to help me, everyone tells me that when it's billing and tech together i have to go to the branch with the bill.

feb = i get a bill reminder call. i detail what has occurred. i have had no data since december, et cetera. i told the lady on the phone that i requested tech back in dec. she confirms december 9, so it's obviously there. i tell her, so what are
you going to do about this? you are charging me for nothing! she goes "uhh" and drops the phone on me. i go to the branch to complain about 1) being charged for nothing, and 2) to tell them to first take care of the rebate, and THEN also take care of the tech end of things. i tell the man at the branch to fix the issues and the tech before february ends because that means they're going to give me another bill overlapping the last then it will be a whole new billing complaint. while i am doing this, he is signaling at his officemate etc and he says they will call me in 2 days. i find this horribly rude because it appears he's just pretty eager to get me out of the office. i get no call. i am busy with work but check my phone all the time, keep it on loud; no
calls from bayan, no texts. i am busy and cannot visit again for a while so i wait because i was PROMISED a call.

march = i get another bill reminder call, last week lang. i also receive a threat of perma disconnection in the mail. i write an angry letter via facebook; Bayantel tells me via FB that the january rebate is good, but no go for feb and march and that i have an
outstanding bill of 1998.00 for feb and march, for NOTHING. they want me to settle at least 999 to get the net back up, then will have a tech visit me to see what is wrong (which is what they should have done in december!) i refuse to pay feb, but i responded that if they can take care of march right away then i don't mind paying for march as long as i get my service back up immediately. they then tell me that the team has deliberated over february and i have to pay it despite there NOT BEING ANY SERVICE. at this point i am pissed as f*** because i DID go to the branch to get all this taken care of back in february. if they had fixed billing and gotten the net up back in february, then they could have been getting money from me already, and i could have been using their (###-###) service!ulit yung serbisyo. the thing is, it was NOT taken care of. and no one even bothered to call me. i refuse to pay for zero service. it is BAYANTEL's fault the data was not running, BAYANTEL's end that failed to stay in touch (they're only good at getting in touch with people when it's time to wheedle money outta them), BAYANTEL should be accountable, not the consumer. no data = no payment because obviously payment is for service and i am not getting it, not the data, not the billing revisions, not the technical support.

think of it this way: if you shell out money for food, you expect to be able to put food in your belly. if you shell out for water, you expect to be able to drink, to bathe. if you shell out for data, you expect to be able to USE the data, get support for it if data doesn't exist, and NOT be billed continuously for the lack thereof. i told the person at the branch exactly what could be done. check data up and down and when they see that no data went in and out, get the rebate done, then when the rebate is done obviously there won't be any pending ### so they can put the internet up and have it running so the techs can check it out if there are any problems (i would like to mention at this point that the dude who rang me up last week for a billing reminder insisted that the data was down because i wasn't paying--BUT i had a rebate going for dec and jan and had no data all throughout those months, and through february until now, obviously the reason i'm not paying is because they're not giving me data). unfortunately, they just keep trying to force money out of people. any honest person wouldn't mind paying for stuff if they were getting the right service. they cannot live up to their own service standards. if people can't get service, obviously they won't want to pay and will want to leave. as a service provider who has not met service requirements, in data providing as well as in billing and in tech, they are not in the position to insist for people to pay. three whole service categories full of failure. i told them that i refuse to pay for february and march--that they had better sort that rebate ### out and also just disconnect this line permanently. as of this morning, they have not responded.

i would include proof photos of the messages (i still have them on facebook) but i cussed quite a lot--not sure how that'll go down here. if anyone can give me feedback regarding profanity use on this complaint site, it would be great; i really want to put the screenies up.

BayanDSL is ###. 4 weeks my internet is not working and they already sent me 3 technicians. they only did a speedtest on my laptop and reset always the modem. Customer Support is not helping but they want to collect the bills. If you want to get a good internet connection apply for GLOBE. Bayan DSL is absolutely ###!
