I wanted to tell my story and although it's an old one (2016) and I no longer have any proof (deleted it all and moved on) I still thought it would be important to get my story out there as these people Lauren Milbank, Bonnie Charron & Murray Piggot all continue to scam people.
My name is Coriena Dickson in 2016 I bought a female cat named Sphynx cat named Luna & a male Sphynx cat named Orion (Bruiser) from BareNaked Genes (Bonnie Charron). I bought Luna as a pet for $1500 CAD and later paid another $1000 CAD for her breeding rights so I paid $2500 CAD for Luna. I also bought a male with full breeding rights but because he was odd eyed I had to pay $6000 CAD for him and also owed the breeder Bonnie Charron of BareNaked Genes a kitten of her choice from his litter.
Once I had both of the cats in my care I had asked Bonnie to send me over the TICA paperwork for Orion (Bruiser) but she told me that I would only get them once I gave her the kitten I owned her. This was not agreed upon before buying the cats I was supposed to receive the TICA BSN slip the day I picked him up. I was clearly upset and started to ask more questions that I should have asked before buying the cats such as proof of HCM scans for my cats parents. Bonnie told me they had not been done yet and she will get them done this coming month.
I waited and asked again she came up with more excuses and then I had asked to use her male Casper which was Orion's dad to use as a Stud for my female Luna. Once I brought him to my house I was disgusted with his condition he was not only filthy he was severely underweight he was scared of everything and he ate as if he was being starved. I cleaned him up over the weekend that he was there and brought him back to Bonnie the mating was unsuccessful. When I brought him back she brought me downstairs to show me where the kittens and other cats were staying I was APPALLED 😮 they were all living in tiny little ferret cages in a cold basement with no windows they barely had heat or access or clean water and fresh food. I was heartbroken but I kept my mouth shut.
I got home and I called Bonnie and confronted her about the condition of her cats and her cattery I was just in shock and very upset that I gave this lady so much money. Again I asked when will these HCM scans be done she got defensive and told me it's not important right now there are no signs of HCM and I don't need to prove anything to you. She threatened to never provide me with my TICA papers for my male and threatening to take away the TICA papers for my female. Then she started demanding money over and over again because Orion was the only kitten in his litter to survive and she was going to
Keep him so she increased his price yet again. I finally said enough is enough I'm not paying any more for these cats.
Then she got Lauren Milbank involved her mentor her buddy her BFF and all [censored] hit the fan I was getting threats on a daily basis pay the money or we will take your cats back etc etc and you will loose everything.
I ended up selling Luna to a guy named Murray for $1200 CAD who I now know is connected to Bonnie & Lauren he is just another one of their breeding pack. Later I sold my male to yet another person connected to the crew for $3500 CAD.
Then I get a call from Lauren of Bare Naked Babies telling me how she won and that now the cats are back to thier rightful owner Bonnie Charron of Bare Naked Genes.
I was bullied into paying crazy amounts of money for both these cats that I ended up getting pretty much stolen from me in the end and then thrown in my face.
Bonnie, Lauren & Murray have no remorse for their actions not one of them HCM scans even though they say they do because I have called the Cardiologist and they have said they have never scanned their cats they know who they are only because of the fact they lie about scanning with them.
All Lauren's little puppet catteries need to be SHUT DOWN and if you are ever looking for a Sphynx cat make sure to see HCM scans done within the year for your kittens parents and call the vet to confirm and if you are a breeder you are best off to get cats outside of Canada because ALL western Canada is infested with Lauren's HCM producing kitten mill practice.
They are all in it for the money the don't care about the cats they only care about how big their bank account is.
I have moved on
We bought a kitten through Lauren Milbank bare naked babies 4 years ago. We were told his parents Parisdawn and Gunner were scanned however we were never showed proof. He had a slight murmur which Lauren said he would outgrow, he didn’t outgrow it his murmur is now stage 3. Our kitten tested positive for hcm at a year old and has had other scans since confirming diagnosis,we have all documentation, his heart is now enlarged and his diuretics are no longer keeping the fluid off. He’s been in the icu recently and is currently in enstage heart failure. He is only 4 years old. We have a contract from Lauren however we lost contact with Lauren, she moved away and sold bare naked babies and started up a new breeding chattery called argentumshynx.com. She breeds extreme hairless orientals now as well as sphynx. Long story short I finally found an old email and got in contact with her she explained she took time off due to health and had moved from the island to Dawson Creek. I explained our sphynx isn’t going to survive and she offered to help us out on another kitten at a reduced price a 6 month old hairless extreme oriental because she said they don’t get hcm so they don’t need to be scanned yearly like sphynx do and she had no sphynx available. She said she is working with a cardiologist developing this new hairless breed extreme oriental which don’t carry the same health concerns with the heart as sphynx do. She said we could also wait and get a sphynx kitten in the fall.l from her at a reduced rate as well. I was relieved because I know this would help my daughter transition with her sphynx nearing the rainbow bridge, when I started asking questions regarding extreme orientals health etc she got very defensive and changed her mind and said she will no longer honour her offer for the extreme oriental or a future sphynx kitten 😢 my daughter is already heartbroken and Lauren has added to this. I have proof of everything through text message with Lauren. I believe in karma! I’m so sad my daughter has so much love to give her sphynx he has his own ward robe and has always received the best of care and vet care including annual dental cleanings. My daughter is a nurse and takes care of others and loves unconditionally this is so unfair, my heart breaks for her, her sphynx is her world, her fur child. I am now unable to find a kitten for her and Her sphynx isn’t doing well 😭she keeps trying to hold on and has spent thousands trying to keep him alive, he is palliative, I pray daily for a miracle 🙏 see pic below her sphynx in the icu in an oxygen bubble.
This I a huge lie Corrina Dickson. I can post picture of all contracts and conversations that I still have documented. This is why bad catteries around the world shut you down. You had posted lies and couldn't prove it. Once I showed proof you were exposed. First you didn't buy Luna from me you stole breeding right from my sister Ashley Charron. After finding this out I told you would have to pay Ashley for the right to breed or I would let you breed to my stud Casper. You had already breed Luna at only 6 months old and never had the rights to breed her from my sister. You had signed a contract that you were to spay her. After going against my sister spay contract you had kittens that were unregistered and they were all homed before Luna was one year old. You got the papers for Orion after you paid the remaining amount and I still NEVER got the kitten you were supposed to give me back. This was all in 2016 and you are still bitter about things that were your own fault. Maybe you shouldn't lie and breed when buying a kitten for pet then breeding it behind the breeders back at an age when the cat should never have been bred. A female must be over one year of age before giving birth.
And another thing you never scanned Luna or Orion
You are a very bitter woman who after all these years who still feels the need to post lies. Don't you have better things to do then to slander people who have been successful and have worked hard.
She's a total con artist. I reached out to her about 3 years ago. She assured me with her 'payment plan' that you could wait until the perfect kitten became available. When one came up matching the criteria, she said she couldn't reach me, despite having not one but two email addresses, coupled with my phone number. She then offered me a kitten that did not interest me. When I replied 'no', she reaffirmed that that was fine, since having paid my deposit (and more) meant I could wait it out, no pressure. I didn't hear from her for a long time. During covid, I checked her website. My name was no longer listed in the 'waiting room' and she had added a new bit to her website saying you had 2 years to collect a kitten, despite what she had repeatedly assured me was not the case. Over $1, 000 later, no cast, no Lauren. Avoid this woman like the plague.
