Description:

On said date, my mother, age 78 at time, was admitted to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for dehydration and released from hospital with a bed wound the size of a tennis ball and 4 or more inches in depth.

Problem/issue:

- The wound from the hospital has left her bedridden to present day without the ability to function physically and mentally or live a normal

- The medical attention required by hospital staff were not provided:

- No Physical Therapy

- No Occupational Therapy

- No Speech Therapy

- No turning every 2 hours as explained

- No bathing

- Improper diagnosis

- Discharge of patient without a plan of action

- No support or management guidelines for wound from BWMC before or

after discharge.

- 24/7 care required.

- The wound needs fresh dressings 3x/week.

- We had to find a wound center, closest being 45 minutes away.

- Exhausting all of funds, savings and retirement, thus far > $160,000.

- Confined to the bed and experiencing atropy.
