I had a cruise planned on the Norwegian Dawn to leave on June 13 from Amsterdam and return on June 20th.We were leaving from St. Louis on June 12, taking Air Canada to Toronto and then onward to Amsterdam. Needless to say they canceled our flight due to air control and put us on another flight the next day. the cruise left Amsterdam at 4:00pm and we did not make it. We got to Amsterdam on Tues. and spent the day and night in Amsterdam meeting up with the cruise ship in Hamburg at 7:00 Weds. morning. We were held in customs for half a day and thus missed our planned excursions. I filed a claim on July 10th and still haven't received a dime. I sent all receipts and filled out the paper work for trip delay and have been told repeatedly that it is process. I have been waiting for my money, $1880.31. It is now Nov. 21.
Desired outcome: I would like to receive the money owed to me and as soon as possible.
AON Travel Insurance Company is a complete fraud. Avoid this company! Customer service is horrible, payment is endlessly delayed after approved. Take the time to read the reviews in addition to mine.
We had to cancel a cruise on Windstar because of a personal injury. We submitted all necessary documentation and we’re told our claim was approved and “in process.” Despite numerous calls, including conversations with supervisors, our refund has never been received.
