I fractured my right femur September 10, 2022, which I was scheduled to travel with Globus Travel on October 22, 2022. Purchased travel insurance (9/19/2021) for this travel. Submitted Trip cancellation claim to Aon September 27, 2022. All requested medical documents were submitted.
This claim has been open since September 27, 2022. Aon requested the same information related to my injury in numerous letters. I have provided my attending doctor, Dr. Aaron Carters (Ortho pediatric surgeon’s) assessment as well as the five-day hospital stay information.
Aon's recent letter sent December 11, 2022 requested medical information from my primary physician Dr. Thienquang Le. He has not been involved in my care for this injury.
Dr. Carter is the only physician other than the physical therapy staff that have been involved in my recovery.
Each time I call to speak with their customer service the same response is that the claim is being reviewed. Next month, next month... Three months is more than enough time to complete this claim and return our funds. Aon also provided a selection to cancel this claim. Why would I cancel this claim when a large amount of funds are at stake? (approx over $11,000 is outstanding.
Desired outcome: This claim is for a party of four that my injury impacted. We understand that the cost for travel insurance will not be refunded.
