This is the second job scam I've had to deal with in the past month! I don't know how they get my info, especially my phone number, as I don't ever post my phone number online or on any job site. I keep my information as generic as possible... just for this reason!

I got a text (at 4:30 AM) on 9/3/22, supposedly from Andor Health, offering me a Data Entry job at $28.00 an hour, from a supposed Hiring Manager called Leigh S. McMullan.

I keep records of jobs I apply to, and this is NOT one of them. The Data Entry job they claim they want me for is NOT on the companies list of available jobs either! And I don't know of any Data Entry job that starts out at $28.00 an hour! Most of them are close to minimum wage, and never over $15.00 an hour, that I've seen!

I was also asked to download Skype for an online interview. NO time given, just log in under "Leigh S. McMullan". Which the other scammer I dealt with had done, but I had to download Wire for that "interview".

Red Flags:

I don't ever post my phone number online for public knowledge. I don't ever post my whole name online for public knowledge. A text at 4:30 AM? Seriously?! I googled the text phone number, [protected], and the results state that this is one of the most used area codes for SCAMMERS and FRAUDS. Online search does not find any such person as Leigh S. McMullan (not that there isn't such a person).

Andor Health seems to have a legitimate website, and the search on some of their corporate managers all state from online info that they all work for Andor Health. So, I assume this "Leigh S. McMullan" is a scammer using this company as a ploy. Which has happened to 2 other companies that were being used by the last job scammer I dealt with.

BEWARE!

Andor seems to be being used for scam jobs! If you get contacted by Andor for a job, make SURE it's from the company and not a scammer!

Be careful. I've worked in corporate offices for 20 something years now, and I don't know of ANY company that contacts people for jobs via texts... especially on a Saturday at 4:30 in the morning!

All companies I've worked for make initial contact with an interested candidate via email or phone call. I've NEVER heard of any company texting candidates unless it's AFTER the initial first phone call.
