Went to view a puppy here. Located at 52 Wheatland Dr, Goldendale, WA. Kennel name is Amulet Charm and they sell Whippets and other breeds. HORRIFIC conditions! Dogs are filthy! Small manufactured home is littered with debris and go-awful stench! DO NOT buy from this couple. HOARDERS is taking it lightly. The poor animals are stressed out to the max and lack appropriate socialization. I got a look at where the "other" dogs were kept as only a handful inside the deplorable man. home and all I got was a point to a railroad shipping container. You have got to be kidding me, I though. Seriously, Whippets are in there? Whippets? The one's who love soft, warm, and snuggly covers? They are in a DARK COLD AND LONELY SHIPPING CONTAINER all shut off from the world and environment! It is downright disturbing! Those poor dogs. There must've been 30-50 in there. So sick. My heart aches.
We bought a miniature American Shepherd from this breeder, and were nervous after seeing this review, and were horrified to find out it was true. You will note that folks who say it isn’t live out of state and did not pick up from the house.
Our puppy was filthy dirty, with sawdust and dandruff matted in its fur, and was also sick with worms.
It is also a highly reactive pup and we have spent thousands on medical care and trainers. Our dog was so traumatized by its experience there, it has never played with another dog and is terrified of both strangers and other dogs.
Raising the puppy we got from this breeder has been one of the most challenging experiences I have ever taken on.
If you have a heart of gold and deep pockets and feel like rescuing a puppy, consider this breeder, otherwise you are likely just perpetuating a bad practice.
Those who have gotten well behaved non-reactive dogs from this breeder should consider themselves lucky, and know they have a robust dog on their hands.
Our behaviorist (yeah, we had to hire a behaviorist, your crazier then this breeder if you think we were going to reach out to them for help) believes the pup shows signs of a total lack of human socialization prior to being plucked from its litter and may have been weened improperly, which contributes to the pups ongoing stomach issues. Yes, we have to feed the pup a prescription diet and probiotics to manage its stomach problems.
This is a sad story - this couple is no longer capable physically and/or mentally of properly raising pups and the conditions are deplorable.
If you have any concerns ask for photos of the inside of the home and the container - they likely will not provide them as it is puppy mill conditions.
We bought our Whippet in 2018. He is the most amazing dog i have ever had. Everyone who has contact with him agrees he is a superb specimen of a Whippet. He is well adjusted, healthy, with a great blood line. The complaints are completely unfounded. This is not a puppy factory! We are waiting for our next pup and can not wait to meet her! Thank you Margie and Jack for giving us some much joy.
We had a wonderful experience with Marjorie and amulet charm. Our puppy was received happy and healthy. She is growing into a lovely calm, well tempered dog. I fully recommend their kennel. The complaining party is way off base.
Two of Marjorie's whippets are lovingly called my grand dogs. She is a wonderful breeder, anyone would be so lucky to have just one of these beautiful dogs in their life. They are so well behaved, calm and loving girls. Thank you Marjorie for breeding dogs that truly become a big part of our lives and our hearts.
I have gotten 2 Whippets from Marjorie in the past. My first Whippet had a lung disease that had nothing to do with Marjorie. Michigan State Vet told me it was just an unfortunate thing, nothing to do with the breeding. When I called Marjorie she immedietely without question offered me a free puppy.
At this time my first Whippet was 2 years old. I dont know of any breeder that would replace a 2 year old dog for free. She sent us a beautiful 8 week old Whippet puppy that ended up being my heart dog.
Both puppies came to us clean and happy and with amazing personalities. I even met another person that lives by me that had a Whippet from Marjorie and was getting another one. I have never seen her kennels as she lives in Washington and we live in Michigan, but my Whippets were an amazing testament to the breed and breeder. And she never ever jacked up the price on us.
I bought male Chihuahua from them in 2004, and as of today [protected] he is still going strong. The breeders were very friendly and helped me in every way possible. I can not thank them enough for the puppy we got from them!
When I was looking for a puppy, I found Amulet Charm miniature Australian Shepard puppies for sale on Puppy Find. I contacted Margie and she was kind, sweet and knowledgeable about the breed. After researching I found this complaint. I took a leap of faith to work with Margie as her dogs are beautiful. The entire transaction was easy, reasonable and exceeded our expectations. The puppy is top notch with beautiful markings and an adoring temperament. I told Margie that I found this complaint to better understand why. I could tell that it broke her heart that someone would do this to her on such false pretense. I am appalled that people can do this and defame others that impacts their livelihood. Perhaps expectations were not met but I can say that she was exceptional to work with. I hope this comment helps those who read this deplorable complaint and are hesitant to work with Margie because of it. I can attest to a wonderful experience with an adorable puppy that transitioned into our family seamlessly. Thank you Margie!

The original complaint is pathetic.By the way the sea going container doesn't even have any Whippets in it. although it is fully insulated and heated. Air conditioned in the summer. We have a total of 12 Whippets. 4 of them are boys.they are all pets and love to be loved and have attention.
Regarding the price of $800. Funny never have had a complaint about our prices.Haven't sold a puppy for that price for years.I have not changed prices on anyone buying a puppy.. I do have many references from people that have our puppies.Some folks have bought 2 or 3 Whippets from us, so they must be happy with our Whippets..One of our lovely Whippets.

Broadly defined, this is an intentional false communication, which is either published in a written form (libel) or spoken (slander), that injures one’s reputation.So look out to the person that put this false accusation on this web site. Stupidity of the original complaint. Now I know who did it. That person has not been to our home. However I found out she send's people to come come out and take photos every six months of our place. She is a neurotic person evidently. She is asking for a law suite for harassment, and liable.
These complaints are false. You are actively lying, most likely for attention. As someone who has been up there multiple times, The worst that can be said is due to the location, Socialization is harder to accomplish, but she manages fine. The dogs are cared for and the container is well kept. It has an air conditioner and heating unit. You can see the Air Conditioner in the pictures.
The Shipping Container has very large outdoor runs attached to it. The dogs have plenty of space to exercise. The container is where they go to sleep.
If you use the term "HOARDER" you obviously have not been inside.
This person does not know what they are talking about. These dogs are in a very loving home. This couple does not hoard pets by any means and they are careful not to over breed. Their dogs are very happy and healthy. I have two Whippets from this breeder. They do an amazing job with their puppies! My one dog was nearly potty trained when i got her and only 9 weeks old! The other puppy also caught fast. You can tell they were well cared for and socialized in a loving environment. Both dogs purchased at different times, adjusted into our home with such ease. What makes my heart ache is someone who would get on here and lie. My dogs are in wonderful health and they are my world! I would not have them without someone who is so kind and willing to do what it takes to be a responsible breeder.
Whoever you are, you were not invited to view a puppy here. We do like to have folks come to visit and meet our Whippets. We have a total of 9. Your stupidity is almost amusing. Our container is well insulated and heated and air conditioned. Our puppies are well cared for and loved. Personalities are outgoing and most are almost house trained as well.
I have a whippet from you and if i had known then what i know now I would have called ASPCA, WRAP, and the cops YOU ARE A crook a liar and dont deserve those dogs (Nolan x Glitter) litter you said 800 before i sent you a down payment then when you got the first you added 200 in undisclosed cost I.E vet check, crate, toys and food, you should be ashamed marjorie...
I bought a whippet from you and when I got him he was sick scared and skinny, you lied to me about the cost and kept adding on fee after fee(1200$)total initially the price was 800$. You go through dogs and puppies at a very high rate. No surprise your on a watch list to for puppy mills. I have spoken to other owners and breeders who have nothing good to say about you or your puppy mill. I tried several times to get in contact with you after my purchase and you ignored my calls. My dog is from, glitter boy X unknown female not that you would remember these dogs are just dollars to you.
