I filed a complaint for American Home Furnishing in Santa Fe, NM. I never received a reply, can't figure out how to find the registered complaint on your website, and have been blocked from posting a review on the stores website. No one would give me the name of the CEO to contact about the problem and the CS rep was uninformed, rude and condescending. See my original inquiry below. As you can see, it's been over 2 years and have not been able to get any help with this issue.

12/19/2020 American Home Furniture, Santa Fe

I have bought many pieces of furniture at American Home Furniture over the years & have never had a problem with any of their products before. I recently bought a dining/gathering set from them. The functionality of the gathering set appealed to me & previously, I had gotten quality furniture & customer service from this store (I shop at the Santa Fe store but this order came from an Albuquerque warehouse). The chairs have upholstered seats with netting support underneath. By the second month after it arrived the cushions began to sag, continuing to sag until I'm sitting 2" lower than when the set arrived. I contacted AH & they sent out someone to look at the problem. The technician, Joe, said the design has a cut out in the middle of the bottom of the chair seat, which causes the sagging problem. He pushed on the cushions & acknowledged they were sinking. He left & said someone would contact me after he reported back to AH. A customer service rep called me back after that visit & said there is nothing they can do because the problem is not considered a defect & to repair anything on the chairs would void the guarantee. Neither would they pay to have the problem fixed by an outside repair service. She also refused to provide a contact number for the corporation headquarters so that I could elevate the issue. I told her this was not acceptable. Her supervisor, Dean, called me back & said she would look at the issue. She also stated she could see where the seat cushions compressed in the middle, causing the sagging, but that AH was not responsible for the problem because it was not a defect, the chairs were designed that way. She defined a defect as a broken component and this issue did not include a design flaw. Evidently, a design flaw is not considered a defect if it is the result of a design or manufacturing error in the production of the item. She was incredibly rude, raising her voice and talking over me. So disappointed with the gathering set & the rude, chirpy, lip service I received from AH customer service reps.

Additionally, I tried to leave a review on the website but the site blocked me. I called a AH contact number and explained the site would not let me leave a review of the product. That rep said he couldn't help me.

Desired outcome: Have American Home take responsibility for their product. Allow me to leave a review on the AH website, and not remove it. Consumers have a right to know what they are purchasing.
