cagw commercial
The current commercial that is being played on AMC channel is out of line! This show that our nation will becOme one that falls to another nation. There are other ways to show this besides putting China as the leading nation. Patriotism should be upheld by channels that are viewed by majority of Americans. This commercial should be taken off air!

sound volume
The volume is low on the channel, while the movies are playing, and it has to be increased. When the commercials come on, the sound volume is very loud, and very annoying. I will be glad when the new laws will stop this deceptive practice, that this and other channels are using for advertisement purposes, instead of customer enjoyment.

AMC needs to respond and fix this immediately.
frequent commercial breaks & pop up ads
This is the second of complaints regarding how the AMC network doesn't care about their viewers. The original posting of the complaint can be viewed on this site at http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/amc-tv-c278599.html and that particular complaint addresses the pop up ad issue. Another problem is in addition to the pop up ads, the viewer has to suffer though frequent commercial interruptions. IFC (Independent Film Channel) shows ads in between movies and not only that, IFC is "UNCUT". American Movie Classics network aka Always More Commercials network doesn't seem interested in competing with IFC or TCM (Turner Classic Movies) because IFC and TCM cater to people who actually love movies. AMC is not much different than MTV in that regard. Commercials aside, a lot of their success is owed to their original programs including "Madmen" and "Breaking Bad", which shouldn't be undermined but viewers shouldn't be interrupted with reminders about these programs while in the middle of enjoying a decent movie. I remember back in the 80's, before this one local station in Pittsburgh was bought by FOX, they used to show movies during primetime hours and they called them the Super Movies. Occasionally, there would be no commercials but if they showed any, there would be very few commercial breaks. When the movie would end, you could actually read the credits, which I understand not everyone cares about but most people who love movies want to know who directed them or the names of certain actors. During the credits, AMC splits the screen, with a high speed run of the credits, while showing an advertisement. Be sure to click on the like link. Facebook caters mostly to the youth, and since AMC TV sticks with what's hip and cool, this may get their attention. Is there any way I can flag that previous comment as inappropriate?
Garbage network with to many commercials. Ceo greed. Need everyone to either boycott buying anything in the commercials that i use to just mute and walk a way for 2-3 minutes or just wait a couple days and literally time Walking dead free 123moves or putlocker and can find it without commercials on first couple pages. Lag/buffering is totally fine as its still way better then the bs amc does.
The new Waliking Dead is simply sickening. AMC is now to go to place for smut. Im not tuning in ever again.
The new Walking Dead season 2016, in a word, smut. I agree with your comment and have also blocked AMC.
All I can say is that my family and I have blocked AMC from our network. We try to watch family movies that they offer with our 10 year old. This week are Christmas movies that are PG. During commercials, they show PG13 commercials like Walking Dead or Talking Dead, or Fear of walking Dead, Suicide forest. etc. etc. Very unhealthy and my kids cover their eyes. There goes our family PG movies.
Trying to watch AMC online is a complete waste of time. I had to suffer through 25 commercials for a 1 hour show, lagging sound, out of sync video, and then the image disappeared altogether. I will wait for the programs to come out on Netflix.
I myself totally agree with all that is said here. I actually stopped watching walking dead in season 3 because of such practices. My son this holiday season encouraged me to catch up season 4 and 5 online. Let me say God Help you in you start watching online each episode has 15 commercials in increments of 3 each session totaling about 1.1/2- 2 min each episodes are 43 min long so you are watching. Little more than half the episode is commercials.. REPEATED... SAME 3 Commercials. I'm out I can't handle this. The sad thing is how much of a viewer base is lost because of this, and you know they will not change their policies on commercials because they make more money. It is just plain greed. What needs to happen is to just get the masses to NOT watch AMC (Always More Channels: Love this) for 24 hours. They will lose sponsors and maybe get the point that the viewer base is tires of it. Probably too much to hope for in America;(
I stopped watching it. you can actually find other stream sites that will have it a week or two later. If enough people do this then the greedy CEO and others will folow.
I have a complaint. While I know that you have shows like breaking bad and The walking dead, on Dec 1st 2014 I recorded "Home alone:lost in New York."for my kids. During one of the commercial breaks (while I was out of the room for maybe 2 minutes) a commercial for Adam &Eve came on. The woman on tv in a bikini said "you can go f#&* yourself." Among other nasty things. These kids are 6, 11, and 9! This is a family movie! Are you kidding me! Having to answer questions about what this commercial meant!?!?!? If you want to run that commercial when one of your more adult shows is on, fine, but not during a movie that's supposed to be family friendly! Disgusted!
AMC TV is showing adult themed commercials during children's programming. My friends and I were stunned when we sat down to watch Santa Claus 2, and witnessed a number of these adult themed commercials. We all quickly texted our friends and family to let them know what was going on. Needless to say, we won't be watching this network anymore. AMC TV is crass to say the least.
Oh sure...in the middle of Pulp Fiction's dance scene, GO TO A FREAKING COMMERCIAL! AHHHHH! This is absolute crapola! Why AMC, WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?! In the middle of O' Brother Where Art Thou...go to another bloody commercial during the best scene of the movie! I am done recording AMC channels. I'm fed up.
I know complaining about shows falls on def ears most of the time and some station owners really dont care what or who are complaining about there showsI have done made 2 complaints alone with other people and i havnt never got a email back and iam sure iam not alone.I had the pay channels on my cable disconnected and done away with the western channel and stars channels and i would have the a.m.c. channel disconnected but i would have to have my cable cut off and that might not be a bad idea. any way amc channelgreat if you want to watch any where from 2 to 5 or more rifel man every Sat. morning Hire me for min. wages and i will straiten up your Saturday t.v. line up
no enjoyment
I saw a movie 5/29/10……… The movie was Letters to Juliet. The 1:10 showing. During the movie I heard constant laughing. It was really rude and it wasn’t even during the funny parts. On top of that someone’s phone was ringing during the movie. Also on top of all of that people were taking pictures and videotaping parts of the movie on their cell phones. Also people were talking and making loud noises during the movie. So after that horrible experience in the movie theater I don’t feel I should ever go back. I think you Amc should in force the rules more and make sure NO ONE is like the people that were in the same theater I was in were like. I am very disappointed in how my trip to the movie theater was so terrible. Now I feel like I want my money back and I wasted 20 to 30 dollars for my family and I to go to the movies today.
i AGREE THIS WAS REALLY RUDE

I noticed you were airing the movie Saving Private Ryan which has a running time of 2hrs49min. But you slotted 4hrs for this movie. Meaning you scheduled 1hr11min of commercials. That's ridiculous. I won't watch this movie on your channel.
I find this commercial to be in extremely poor taste. It's running at 7 pm and children are still up. What are you thinking. The topic is a private matter and should be kept as such. What happened to the standards we used to have for TV stations, I guess they just went out the window.
This is why i go to the drive-in.
annoying banner ads.
Throughout the film I have been watching (Mad Max), AMC, in its questionable wisdom, obliterates the bottom of the screen with a full-width banner ad for The Matrix or The Prisoner.
I note that these are not present during the commercial breaks, presumably because AMC does not mind ruining films but does mind upsetting Geico.
Is it necessary to bombard viewers with ten-minute reminders that The Prisoner is coming to AMC? I do not know if marketing has leaped into bed with Billy Graham, but the evangelic quality to these ads is downright annoying and not likely to encourage me to watch The Prisoner when I can download it, from Pirate Bay, just to return the annoyance.

I am a upset with people accepting the excuse "costs go up so commercials are necessary" as much as I am with the commercials on AMC. The fact s that "free TV" made a profit by showing ads, so "pay TV" was sold to the public on the big lie that we would eliminate ads by paying a monthly fee. I worked for Loews Theaters at the time cable arrived in my city, and I recall the "you will never see a commercial" promises. Think about it...almost every home in the country now has cable or satellite, the average bill is probably around $149/month, the cable company illegally exploits utility easements to lay cable for free, yet we are seeing well over 30 minutes of commercials per hour. (Under the old "Television Code" ads were capped at 15 minutes per hour) and that figure does not count the banner ads and watermarks. In the future I will only "subscribe" for news and sports, but I will buy movies at Wal-Mart.
By the way...cable TV is NOT a public utility and you are NOT required to allow them to lay cable in your yard. When these clowns showed up I negotiated a free TV deal in exchange for the granting of an easement.
I thought I was the cynical one and was just feeling like I was an unlikely target. When engrossed in a film, an animated banner ad just wiped away the emotion and depth of immersion. All the channels are doing it. DIY is the profoundly worst! Comedy Central is almost unwatchable, CMT has HUGE ones, NBCSN made the Mecum Auto Auction unwatchable and AMC ruined my attempt to watch The Green Mile with... ANIMATED FIREWORKS - BRIGHT AND BRILLIANT! This is computer 'pop-ups' of the TV world and like having someone walk in front of you repeatedly at a theater. Your huge TV purchase is negated by a third of the screen being used for their agenda!
I think the new Halt and catch fire will be a great show how ever I will not continue to watch it because of all the commercials ever seven to eight minutes there is at three to four minute commercial. Total not good! Sorry for your greed.
On the premier of walking dead February 9th me and a couple of friends timed 26 minutes of commercials and previews of prior episode. We are feeling cheated from such an awesome show. It is understandable that it is the most watched show on the planet and u need to sell commercial space to provide such a great show. On the other hand it is the most watched program and if $ is an issue just charge more per commercial. We as a viewing public want to see more walking dead and less advertising. I intend to start a fan page to protest this if the issue isn't changed by next episode. I have over 300 immediate friends that have already expressed dissatisfaction of the run time directly to me. I'm sure u can find it in your heart to rectify this situation.
I am glad to see that many others are complaining about AMC's amateurish, repetitive programming, peppered with overly excessive and overly lengthy commercials. Years ago, when AMC went from no commercials to its current format, I called to complain. Obviously, AMC is choosing to not listen to its rapidly declining viewer base. Hopefully advertisers will note this and use their funds on alternate venues to reach us. I do not watch AMC, preferring reruns of Andy Griffith, and TV Land channel in general. It is also interesting that in Las Vegas, COX Cable has removed TCM from its Basic Cable Service. Noting the lousy choices on AMC, I firmly believe that this was done by COX Cable to blackmail viewers into buying expensive cable upgrades so that they do not have to watch AMC. COX Cable feels that they are enough of a monopoly that they can do this without antagonizing and losing customers. I wish COX the VERY WORST.
"Generation attention handicapped": It's getting worse and worse. I finally start to understand people moving to log cabins in the remote areas. I can't stand certain developments anymore. This will lead to a generation similar to the perfectly desrcibed one in the movie "Wall-E"
It's hard to watch anything on AMC. A 90 minute movie can take hours to watch because of the commercials. I stop watching AMC years ago because of the commercials. It seems like they play about 8 minutes of a movie then commercials after commercials. They do show good movies but because of the interruptions, I rather not watch AMC.
The only reason I watch AMC is for their shows like The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Mad Men. Pretty much everything else they show is not worth watching. All they show is crappy spaghetti westerns. And actually Orlandoroberts, I am pretty sure their ratings have greatly increased because of these amazing shows. Get your facts straight before writing a comment.
You know whats got me angry is that AMC used to be a channel that I could turn to and there was hardly ever a time that I would see the same movie playing over and over. Look at this months lineup... Rifleman.. Quick And The Dead... over and over just about every day this month at least twice a day. Scream1 2 and 3 over and over again... repeated commercial breaks of Walking Dead... although it is a good show.. I would not like to be reminded that it is going to air this week every five minutes. AMC sold out like they wanna be HBO or SHOWTIME. This is supposed to be a movie channel so why arent you playing movies? We are tired of watching the same garbage over and over again! AMC you know what I do when I see the same repeated played out movies everytime I turn it to your channel? I flip it to another. Your losing ratings quick! Your shows like Walking Dead and Breaking Bad and Hell On Wheels will always be watched but is it that hard to hire a D.J. and play some of the great movies that you havent played in years? Your like the Holloween specials... the same every year except in your case every day. Very Pissed off in Long Island New York. Get your ### together SLACKERS!
I totally agree and add that it seems to be getting worse rather than better, insult added to injury. The brain can, in many instances, block out the unmoving text in one corner but now we have BOTH lower corners being used by AMC to distract us. That ought to be about enough times two but, no, now we have the animated adds as well because AMC is well aware that it is not possibe for us to block this out. Once they have a captive audience wathing the current show, they figure it's safe to assume we'll sit through any amount of abuse to make it through the feature we want to see so they keep adding abuse. Our household is watching it less and less and I expect we'll stop watching AMC completely in the very near future if this abuse isn't either stoped or tempered considerably.
UncleRon
very offensive
Every time I watch anything on AMC they are CONSTANTLY pushing adds for the series "Mad Men" on the audience. The commercials for this show are sexually explicit even to the point of putting a half naked female walking into the lower left hand corner of the screen DURING the movie that my family and I are trying to enjoy. This is so offensive to me and my family! We are so offended by these adds which are continuously running repeatedly though out the evening, we have vowed NEVER to watch a single episode of "Mad Men"! But now it seems that to get away from these nasty commercials we need to end our AMC viewing. We refuse to be badgered by AMCs overly forceful and in your face commercials for this channel.
I know that I'm probably wasting my time sending this. Just because we have free speech doesn't give us the right to abuse and miss use it!

Why the f*** do you have so much redundancy with your shows walking dead 1200 hrs since Christmas, the Segal movies 400 hrs sick of watching the Rocky shows, you yanks should be able to do better
I wish AMC would stop showing previews for horror movies - especially such explicit detail - the few weeks before Halloween. They are horrible, sickening, and totally offensive! And I agree with other posters - whatever happened to "American Movie Classics"? I have to scramble to cover my OWN eyes when I'm watching a show and suddenly a bloody, toothless face appears.
I like AMC but you have got to stop showing zombie commercials during a family t.v. program. I'm sitting here watching E.T. with my little daughter. She's enjoying the movie but nearly every time there's a break in the movie a zombie face pops up on the screen in advertisement for The Walking Dead. I have to scramble to cover her eyes. WHAT THE F**K?! Are you guys totally ignorant? During family programming? Are you kidding? Get it together AMC.
Whats the deal with showing CSI Miami, my god now you are like a half dozen other stations..Please stick to Movies like your name American Movie Classics..
I just tried to watch Wyat Earp on AMC tv., there was more time spent on commercials during the the alloted time then on the movie. Viewers and especially advertisers are being ripped off. I wonder if any one can stand to watch any show on this channel. It's quite obvious that the AMC executives don't care about their viewers or advertisers. I think there should be a nation wide boycott of the AMC channel until these executives start showing some respect for the viewer and the advertisers.

Absolutely. I just saw it today during Pearl Harbor. I mean, seriously, how racist can you be. They didn't bother with subtlety trying to fearmonger by making a connection between Japan's actions in WWII and China's future intent. Pathetic, child-like fearmongering is status quo for a group like CAGW, but AMC? Shame on you.
