Hi,
I bought a flight ticket for my son Serban Popovici (Booking Reference: 39YX4D). When he arrived at the Ottawa airport for the first leg of his trip (Ottawa-Montreal) around 4:00pm on August 7, 2022, he was informed that the flight did not have a crew assigned (apparently the earlier Ottawa-Montreal flight had the same problem that day). As a result, he decided to drive to Montreal and board the trans-Atlantic flight directly. His Ottawa-Montreal flight (Jazz 8014) left Ottawa at 9:47pm on August 7 and arrived in Montreal at 10:27pm. His Montreal-Paris flight left at 10:10pm and Serban would have lost his connection in Montreal had he waited at the Ottawa Airport. As such, I would like to be compensated for the delayed Ottawa-Montreal flight as we did pay for alternative transportation to Montreal.
