My name is Jarome Fields. I am the stock associate and keyholder of Salvatore Ferragamo DC. On Friday Jan. 3, 2020 within the 9. a.m. hour I was waiting for my co-worker so we can go into work. There is camera footage of me waiting. I was not making noise, bothering anyone, or posing any kind of threat. I also had on my trench coat, shirt, tie, slacks, and dress shoes. This man from the outside security comes to me and says "You have been standing here for a long time; May I help you?" Note that there was no greeting or couteous activity from this person. And I told him that I work here. And I added that you should ask if someone works here before you assume anything. He didn't leave and continued talking for some reason. After he kept talking I told him "I work here, you can go". He got loud and wouldn't leave. Then he said "You are standing in the wrong spot." If I am waiting to go to work at the job the I have been employed by for 2 years then where do I stand? Shortly after I spoke with a supervisor telling him everything. He said that the footage will be checked. I am part of whom this security company is supposed to protect but being harassed and sterotyped is not how I visioned my day to start. If you are an officer of any kind courtesy and the proper approach should be displayed at all times.
