On the 9/9/2024 I went on my banking app and discovered that my business account was in the minus. I called the customer service to inquire what the problem is . The consultant told me that my overdraft facility expired . I was in shock , because our business banker Hlamalani Chabalala did not notify me about it . The next day Monday the 10/9/2024 I've phoned her , but could'nt get hold of her . I sent an e-mail and received an auto reply informing me that she's on leave and will only be back in office on the 3/10/2024. I got details of two people that I can contact to assist me . I then contacted Nomusa Mathethwa. She told me that the overdraft expired and had to be reviewed . I was confused , because in the 12 years that we had the overdraft facility I was never contacted regarding the review of an overdraft. Nomusa told me to go to the nearest Absa branch and asked for the business banker, so that she can send him the surety forms for me and my partner to sign . He kindly assisted us and said the forms must couriered back to Nomusa . On Friday the 13/9/2024 I phone Nomusa for an update regarding the re-instatement . I was told that they are busy with the capturing , she will let me know in a couple of hours . I never received any feedback as yet . It had a negative effect on our business , because I was not prepared and informed of such a situation. I can't pay the suppliers because im sitting with a 0 balance in the account . Im greatly disappointed in the service and treatment we are receiving from Absa Bank . All our accounts are with Absa , business and personal . If the overdraft facility is not re-instated by the 16/9/2024 , I can close the doors of my business
