I wanted counseling so I signed up with A Room for Care located at 3256 Southern Dr #461 Garland Tx 74043, Ph # [protected].
When I applied they asked for all my insurance information, which I provided. After a few days they got back to me and said my costs would be covered except for a $25 co-pay. I said fine and made my ist appt. on 8/5/22. Then I had one on 8/12 and 8/26.
On into September I had a couple of appointments. They cancelled one. The on Sept. 234 I get a letter from United Healthcare saying that this company is not within their in-network and A Room for Care sent me a bill for $825. I spoke with their office business manager, a man named Chad. He said he'd. "look into it," Meanwhile I keep getting a bill a day from them.
I emailed him and gave him the name of the United Healthcare Behavioral Appeals Board to appeal these charges as it it A Room for Care's mistake.
I am livid. No one told me to contact my insurance company as well and now I am getting billed for $875 and after this last visit it will be up to $1000. I don't have that kind of money and this kind of business practice is unacceptable.
Desired outcome: I either want United Healthcare to pay for this or else I want A Room for Care to just absorb all current charges. I cant pay this.
OK...,..It has been since October, 03, 2022 since I filed this complaint and I have had no response from the Complaint Board of the Better Business Bureau. So did you just file this away and decide not to pursue it or what?
I am still getting 2-3 notices from a Room for Care daily regarding the monies they think I owe them. Are you not going to do anything about this or what? I need an answer, please.
